Hello guys,
I have been using the widget "sms unread count" by Kanokgems from market. I need to place custom icons for my gmail and msg notification. As per the app, it requires you to put the icon in a specified folder, where the aoftware is installed. I tried finding that folder, but its no where.
Did anyone of you tried it ?????

I would like a widget on my homescreen that shows the unread count in a particular label.
The closest I have found is per label notifications.
Does any such widget exist?
Could I combine Tasker with the per label notifications to create such a widget?

Same question but for K-9..
Come on people, surely this is really easy to make. If I knew how I'd do it myself.
I've seen apps that simply launch gmail with a specific search parameter. And I've seen widgets that count the unread mail in the inbox.
All you need to do is count the mail within a label related search parameter. Is this not possible?
Could someone who's received Google app inventer give this a go?

I'm using LauncherPro, and have a gmail shortcut on the dock. It notifies me whenever I get a new mail in my inbox, but not for mails that are delivered under other labels. AFAIK, it's a limitation in the gmail app itself. Is there any other app that can do this? It needs to be an app, as widgets can't be placed on the dock. Thanks!

Hi*,
Since I'm playing more and more with my Desire and trying to beautify my home/lock screens, I'm looking for a (minimalist) widget showing the amount of missed calls, unread texts and unread mails. I know that I can simply use the handcent widget and that the market offers plenty of gmail widgets, but I really want them to have the same design.
Do you have any idea about this ?
many thanks

What about a skinned version of sms unread count or executive assistant ?

Ok I have the G2x and I'm coming from the G2. Neither has the ability to display on the gmail mail icon how many unread emails you have.
I downloaded gmail unread count but it only allows 1 account to be accounted for. I've used the thunderbolt and that one keeps track of all your email accounts on one icon, anyone know of an app that can do the same thing?

Launcher pro has that feature built in

Thanks, ill give it a shot. Had launcherpro on my g2, but ended up going back to stock due to random crashes. I still have no idea why this isnt a default ability, im sure im not the only person with several gmail accounts and want to know I have unread email on my home screen.

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.kanokgems.smswidget&feature=search_result
It can be used for Messaging, Missed Calls, as well as Gmail
It is a "widget icon" which replaced the stock icon
Works great
The sms unread count as well as the gmail unread count widgets only work with 1 account. What I want is a single widget to handle multiple accounts at 1 time. So if I have an unread email in 2 email accounts the widget would display a 2 on the icon.
I dont want a widget for each email account

With the stock launcher (tw launcher) the stock email program icon will overlay the number of new items. This does not happen in go launcher. How do i get the icon to show # of new messages?

I've since tried a few of the other launchers and found that notifications are lacking in them.
Does anyone know if there is a way to get any of the launchers to display notifications the same way as the default launcher? I like seeing the red number on the email icon.
Also is there a way to get the voicemail icon to display the number in any launcher including stock? I hate having to watch the notification bar for an increase in the number (up from 3) indicating that i need to drop the bar to see what additional notifications are available.

Have you tried the Go Notification plugin for Go Launcher. I don't use it, but it sounds like what you are looking for.
I hadnt. I'll have to give it a try as I did like go launcher a lot

The go launcher notification plug-in is what i'm lookin for except that it needs notifications for email, phone calls, voice mail... So disapointing.
