[Q] Missed It - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I am running this app on a D2 and have both the stock email app and the official Gmail app running as I am trying to figure out why I don't receive email notifications.
I have both apps listed in my monitored app list but Missed It is not picking up the fact that I have new unread emails.
Any one have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong or have any suggestions?
Thanks.

you need to turn on missedit under android settings > acessibility.
but beware, new gmail update will not work anymore with missedit.

[Q] Gmail Accounts Lag

Greetings All,
I recently purchased my Nexus S. I have multiple google & google hosted email accounts.
Today, I noticed a lag on the gmail app accounts page.
I was checking to see if I had new mail in my accounts and it took a few seconds for the totals to load on the page that displays all your accounts and their new mail totals.
Am I just being paranoid?

Is this in the Gmail app, or the Email app?
Do you have background data syncing enabled? Mobile data enabled? WiFi sleep policy to "never"?
Could you be more specific in what you're expecting to happen and what's making you paranoid? It sounds to me like maybe the app wasn't syncing in the background until you woke up the phone and opened the app, forcing it to call the mothership and ask for a sync.
I've noticed some strange occurrences with the Gmail app myself. The most common occurrence is that I archive new emails and then find that the app still claims I have unread messages which it will not let me access. It just says at the top Inbox (XXX). Usually clearing data for gmail fixes it, but in some cases I have to uninstall gmail entirely and reinstall it to get it working.

I'm sure I've mentioned it elsewhere, but my only issue with the gmail app on the Nexus S is that outgoing messages sometimes get stuck in the outbox and the only way to get rid of them is to clear data and cache for the app.
Isn't the gmail app universal across android 2.x products? It's just a Market download. I don't notice my gmail problem with the one on my i9000.

I've had the same issue with the last three phones I've owned (mind you they've been in quick succession) so I don't think its a Nexus S specific issue. I had just hoped it would go away. However, I've also experienced the issue you speak of. Actually, there is one in my outbox now that I'm too lazy to deal with (its just a message with an apk I wanted to modify so I was emailing it to my comp to deal with).

How to select which Email app launches from Notifications?

Hi All,
Sorry if this issue has been brought up before but i couldn't find an answer anywhere on the forums. Please note that this is my first Android device and i'm still getting accustomed to the OS.
I prefer using the stock email app over the gmail app on the galaxy S3, however, everytime i receive a mail notification and want to check it, the phone automatically opens the gmail app to check the email instead of the stock app.
I can't find anything in the settings menu or the settings in either application to help with this issue.
Anyone know how to set the stock email app as the default to open emails from the notification bar?
Thanks!
Go to settings>apps>all and disable Gmail. Haven't tried this with Gmail but I have to assume it works, I can vouch for disabling the stock browser and messenger this way.

Why would I need the gmail app after I got the Inbox by Google app?

Hello everyone,
I wonder why would one need the gmail app while there is the new Inbox app?
Is there anything in the old gmail that the Inbox app doesn't?
Thanks.

Hi, I'm getting the idea that you are being forced to have to Gmail app installed, is that correct?
Not forced but I wonder if/when thegmail app will become obsolete...
I also noticed that the Inbox app doesn't show any notifications although I did make sure to select all notifications in the settings (for all bundles).
After trying it out for a while I noticed that the Inbox app don't notify on new emails like the gmail app does. Which it should but it just doesn't work for some reason...

App that shows more than just the last GMail/Outlook notification?

Does anyone know of an app that shows more than only the latest GMail notification? I know one exists for WhatsApp, i would like something similar for GMail and Outlook as well.
I don't think you'll find one app for it right now. I think the only way to do it is to enable notifications on the gear app on your phone for each app that you want to see on your watch and hope they are compatible. Outlook using the built in email certainly provides notifications. I use it all the time
Can you browse your new emails? Or do you only see the last email?
I see what is in my inbox. I also use Nine and it shows full emails in my inbox

Stock Email App

Hi. Is anyone using the stock email app?
I am trying to use it. I have two accounts. Gmail and me work email. Emails are being pushed just fine, I am just not getting any notifications. Nothing. When I open the app, the new mail is already there. Checking all the settings in the app and the regular settings.
Anyone else having this issue?
Thanks
