on my droid x i have an xda modified gmail apk that auto shows the images in html email.
is that an option on the tablets yet?
If it is I can't find it. It's kind of annoying not having the option.

Please look at the attached picture, I am using Asus Transformer, running Honeycomb 3.1.
The E-mail preview for the mail app shows gibrish fonts, while the mail itself looks fine in the mail app, also it does not happen on the gmail app.
Any ideas on why and how to fix it?
Thanks.
did any one have the same problem?
Is there any way to get the Asus email widget to open GMail instead of the stock Email app?

Click to collapse
Menu in the top right hand of the screen (in the email app)
Click account settings
Add Account is in the top right hand corner.
Make it your default. If you have another email account setup, you may want to delete it. The widget will tell you the total unread emails across all accounts setup.

Already done that
I'd like to know if there's a way to make it so that tapping the widget brings you to the GMail app instead though
The stock email app isn't quite as good as GMail
@slient
I have the same question/problem
I think that's impossible because Google is blocking every connection with Gmail app. No app on the market can connect to Gmail! Even ASUS is not allowed to create an app that works hand-in-hand with Gmail... sadly...

Well, technically, the desired effect can be achieved by checking for unread mail the way it is now but tap action should just open the different app.

Ah my bad, I misread the OP.
Out of curiosity what features do you want the gmail app for? The only real difference I saw was priority inbox/starred mails support. I don't use that often enough myself to worry about it.

GMail handles labels better and has a bigger viewing panel
also the default email app doesn't string conversations together
Not impossible, launcher pro has gmail widgets that I use everyday on OG EVO and 3D EVO

I have it for honeycomb on my transformer running stock 3.2 and it doesn't work.
i don't think it's possible, just use gmail widget
I swear I've seen a few videos that showed the gmail app in the SR to show an email preview when in landscape view with the inbox on the left and the selected email on the right. I can't figure out how to get this option if it exists.
Anyone else seen this or get it working or was I seeing a different phone?
Thanks
The stock email app has that. Maybe that's what you saw.
Yeah it was thanks for replying. Weird Googles own gmail lacks advanced things.

I've been searching for an app that would cycle between a number of applications, but I can't seem to find one, or I'm not searching with the right key words.
The functionality I'm looking for is to be able to display a list of applications (like,a weather app, a specific web page, a clock app, local traffic app, email app, facebook app, etc) and select a number of seconds to display each and then rotate to the next app. Thought is to have that rotating app running on my tablet sitting on my desktop.
Is there such an app around?
Thanks!
did you find anything yet?
Sounds more like a windows 7 thing. Like live tiles?

i've been unable to find anything yet.
On messaging, the emoji is the stock iPhone one, which is great for texting people with the other device, but on any other app it has the "android" version which is nice but annoying at the same time since I don't really know which emoji it corresponds to. Also, I can only use emoji in messaging, but if I copy and paste it to other apps, it shows up fine (but as the android version). Is there any way to be able to use these across other apps? Or be able to see the iPhone emoji on other apps?
First picture is the messaging app options, second pic is how it shows up in other apps.
