emails wont sync, all my accounts and default account after updating to the new lightening and fast rom 2.1 ... first installed 2.0 then used recovery to install 2.1 and now have android 2.4.4 on it...but everything in the phone is great but emails wont sync.... i cant seem to delete the accounts and start over...
please someone advise me what to do here?
or should i revert back to the older rom like lightening pro 1.5 instead?

Hey all hoping someone can help me with this.
I hadn't realized I'd upgraded my home network to Active sync 4.5...work still runs a 4.2 and now my phone won't sync with it. I am using a HTC TYTN II
Work won't upgrade to 4.5 yet....is there anyway I can downgrade my phone to sync with the 4.2? I've tried a system restore and that didn't do it.

so is there away to remove whatever sync 4.5 kernel must exist on my phone? my network provider is only running 4.2 and won't upgrade to 4.5 any time soon.

Hi,
As far as I know, AS does not put anything on the phone, it just reads out the ID. Guess you just delete the source that is listed on your phone, and restore a new source when you connect the phone afterwards.

tried that....deleted everything in the activesync folder...no dice.
Have you tried deleting the AS realtionship itself and letting it recreate? OK it's not 4.2 and 4.5 but my Trinity will happily sync with AS 4.5 and WMDC on an XP and a Vista PC.

Okay, I just rooted my brother's HTC Hero (GSM Unlock) and updated it to 2.1 Villain, but there were some bugs, like in the messages app, the key board wouldn't show up in a conversation. FB Sync wouldn't sync pictures to his contacts. Is there any way I can downgrade back to the original 1.5? If so, can anyone give me a link to download that .zip? thanks!

Im new to this site. i got an eris that was rooted i think or was already updated to a 2.1 from the htc official update thats how i bought it im not with verizon i got cricket so the place i bought it from flashed it for me to cricket.
i really want my eris to run on a 2.2 rom like celbfroyo or something but heres my problem. i cant get the internet to work running a rom thats running on 2.2! my question is how can i get this problem solved???
i was reading forums on how to isntall custom roms and such and heres what i did...
i started off by downloading eris rooter followed the procedure on recovery i did a factory reset i wiped dalvik just basicly did what i was reading,then i installed kaosfroyo v39 on the recovery screen it successfuly installed i reboot it and i thought i had it.
everything was working fine phone calls even text messages except internet no internet at all i tried launching the browser and it would load but not do anything of course i did a backup so when i did a restore and went back to 2.1 my internet phone calls and text messages worked except my pic messages ive had this problem since i bought the phone
i know theres ways to get pic messages to work regardless even if my eris is flashed to cricket and i know i can get the internet to work on a custom 2.2 rom like kaos or celb etc but the question is how???
right now im successfuly running on xtrsense i got this rom to work by doing the same steps i mentioned above u know buy doing the wipes and such. xtrsense is running 2.1 which i dont like plus i still get no pic messages what am i doing wrong as far as me not having my internet working when running celbfroyo? is it not supported? or is it me???
if somone can help me with this i would highly appreciate it

1. I lost all my apps and settings, will i be able to get that back?
2. It won't let me connect to my google account, it says that i can't establish a reliable connection... what do i do?
i just wanted to root to install sense 3.0

3. on the big HTC clock/weather, it wont show me my location or the weather..

I'm guessing you're still on the downgraded Desire ROM and need to flash a new ROM. You need to go check the development forum and find a ROM that sounds good to you and flash it.

yeah i flashed a rom and it fixed 2 and 3, but i lost all my settings and apps and contacts.
1. Once you log into to your Google account it should restore your apps and most of your settings. Not sure to what extent Google backs up settings.
For 2 and 3 I have a feeling you are still on the downgraded rom from the rooting process. Its not ment to be a permanent daily driver just a place holder until one flashes a new rom.
I'd recommend you start with attn1 stock rooted rom until you descide on what 3.0 sense rom you want

You need to use something like Titanium Backup (there are others) to backup your apps. I redo my settings anytime I flash a ROM. Your contacts should come back once you sign into Google and sync your phone. That's if you originally had your phone setup to sync with Google. Some of your apps will sync and be downloaded, but not all of them.
Once the smoke clears and after you get situated ROM-wise, be sure to check your radio version and upgrade it also. If I recall correctly, the rooting process leaves you with an old radio as well. I recommend trying version 26.06.06.30_M first. Check out the stickied radio thread in the development section.
Ok I've looked everywhere and just cant seem to find it so I apologize if the answer has already been posted. But after I flash the new Radiance RC3 rom when setting up accounts I can't seem to get the default email to set up. I tried reflashing the rom several times but no dice. Please help and thank you in advance
Have you used Google Sync？
I've tried it just doesn't want to sync up....I'm on Radiance RC 6.1 if that helps
