Hey all hoping someone can help me with this.
I hadn't realized I'd upgraded my home network to Active sync 4.5...work still runs a 4.2 and now my phone won't sync with it. I am using a HTC TYTN II
Work won't upgrade to 4.5 yet....is there anyway I can downgrade my phone to sync with the 4.2? I've tried a system restore and that didn't do it.

Thanks, that'll solve my problem at home if there is someway to downgrade the phone from thinking it needs 4.5.

so is there away to remove whatever sync 4.5 kernel must exist on my phone? my network provider is only running 4.2 and won't upgrade to 4.5 any time soon.

Hi,
As far as I know, AS does not put anything on the phone, it just reads out the ID. Guess you just delete the source that is listed on your phone, and restore a new source when you connect the phone afterwards.

tried that....deleted everything in the activesync folder...no dice.
Have you tried deleting the AS realtionship itself and letting it recreate? OK it's not 4.2 and 4.5 but my Trinity will happily sync with AS 4.5 and WMDC on an XP and a Vista PC.

It can sync on Vista and 4.5 but Will not sync with Active Sync 4.2...

As I am using XDAII for 2003se which is 2.0600WWE downloaded in this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=16880). The radio is 1.18 and the bootloader is 1.01. As I can upgrade my rom from 2003 to 2003se without any problem, I would like to upgrade it to WM5 in these few days.
However, I face some problems in my updating.
I have try XDA_WM2k5_2.01a64WWE, XDA_WM2k5_2.01a00WWE, however, I cannot search the phone network after upgrade rom. As I have read some posts before, I know that there may be my radio's problem, so I upgrade my radio also. I have try 1.17, 1.18, 1.08 with these rom. Unlucky, it also cannot search phone network.
So. for the only solution is get back 2003se with "Asia O2 Xda II WM 2003 SE Upgrade" in this forum. I can get my network back.
As the result, I would like to ask that what problem am I facing and what can I do? Is it the problem of bootloader ? or the problem of radio?
And also, there have "Asia upgrade" for WM5? It helps me a lot and I need not to afraid the networking problem.
Please help me. .

you're lucky you can install that file to your XDA2. Mine can't I donno why. Activesync kept on disappearing. Although upgrading to 2003se is not a problem.

waht edition of active sync do you have? to get wm2005 to work it has to be active sync 4.0 or higher and for the newer roms you have to have AS 4.2 or equivalent beta versions

I'm currently using AS 4.2. The problem is that I couldn't install WM2005 2.01 64 to my himalaya. Once I double click on the installer, AS disappears and an error screen will come out after 10 mins. I also tried installing WM 3.0 but still the same result. I really wanted to try using WM2005 on my himalaya. could you guys help me?

I tried installing the following files that I downloaded through this website:
HIM_3.00a.32_WM5_AKU_3_CLEAN
XDA_WM2k5_2.01a64WWE
WM2k5 3.00a64wwe
I understand that AS will disappear the same way as it does when I installed SE. However, what puzzles me is that all of these installers will inform me that there is an error and I could not proceed further with the installation. I even have to restart my laptop because AS couldn't communicate with my himalaya after my attempted installation.
Sorry I'm not well versed with computer language/jargons that's why I could not understand the readme file. I would really appreciate it if you could guide me. Thanks.
at last installed it! I have to re install though. I restored some of my data and it crashed on me.

high what network are you with and are you on contract or pay as you go?
cause i have the settings for o2 contract gprs and also havw the settings for e-mail etc
I'm now able to access my emails. however, MMS is still a problem. Still can't send or receive. I'm using a globe telecom postpaid line here in the philippines. I installed the attached file for the network configuration but still nothing.
hey i own a jasjam and i recently installed a wm6.1 rom...the rom is ok except it often crashes. now i want to change the rom but activesync cant find my device. when i first installed the new rom everything was ok and activesync worked fine.
now the phone keeps crashing and activesync never finds my device...anyone know how i can fix my activesync problem?

Hi, ive flashed a few handsets before (wallaby x2, alpine and a wizard) and had no problems but for some reason cannot even get off the first hurdle with my t-mobile vario iv and cant even unlock the dam thing to flash a custom rom! ive looked at post after post and downloaded so many programs like hard spl and nothing works. the programs ether wont even open or they fail half way through the process but havent bricked my phone so far (fingers and toes crossed!) please could someone help me with what unlocking software i need, what radio rom and main rom i should be using. Really i would like to try a standard wm6.5 rom and then try custom roms after but like what nrg have done if stock is not avaliable. its model is RAPH300 part no- 99HFP013-00

Ensure you have hard SPL'd your handset before trying to flash ANY custom roms
before you do that, see if there is an updated T-Mobile rom, see if that update will work, if that update works without any glitches then it'll be alright, if you get an error with an official update then possibly something wrong with either your pc setup or the handset
if your using vista, make sure you've got the windows mobile device centre installed, if not, you need to go to microsoft and download it
if using windows xp, make sure you've got the latest activesync installed.
ensure the cable your using is not faulty by trying it with a different cable
and good luck!

thanks for trying to help, have you ever read something over and over and repeatedly missed something in it? i think thats what i did wrong. i did not see the bit about removing my sim card even though i had read the noobs guide again and again. removed my sim and bosh, spl worked! then everything else was a breeze and i am now running the energy 3.0 wm6.5 rom! havent flashed the radio yet but will probably do that today. the energy rom is a vast improvement on my stock 6.1 rom in many areas and seems to have improved camera performance quite a lot (not quality) and the menus are going to be great once i have got used to the totally different interface. does anyone have any sugestions on other roms tha may be better than this one?

I am personally using NATF's WM6.1 lite touch pro rom as all i look for in a rom is stability as i actually use my phone for phone/text purposes and there is nothing more annoying than a hanging phone when your trying to quickly reply to a text message!

Well i was trying to update the version i had to a different one i had seen.
It is quite a old version PDAVIETS 4.0.0.0.3A, i was using, wi-fi everything worked fine really, pretty good rom, i have found that i am on windows 7 and upgrading can be dodgy.
I would always disconnect as the upgrade was starting in active sync even though i unchecked advanced network in prophet. This would happen for any other prophet rom. [ a few had said that this was a active sync problem]
Then found that somehow the PDAVIET 4.0.0.0.3A updated my phone as the flash method was a bit different.
I tried another rom this way but for some reason it started to flash then hung on the screen. over 30 mins later still the same, normally it would only take 10-20 mins.
Now it will only go into bootloader or bootup to the screen showing loader version etc.
Someone please advise me best way to bring it back.
I do have the orange no vendor rom, should i use this ? Although in windows 7 it wouldn't work.
Would i be best using xp for it ?
I presume it can be rebooted again with a op, i hope so.

In windows 7 i updated QTEK rom and now have new radio version ! Then used PDAViet rom 4.0.0.0 [ what seems to be only rom that works for me in w7]
Now happy again, even though this is old tech and i have had better, overclocked and with wi-fi make it handy.

Glad you have recovered your prophet have you installed the vista\windows 7 drivers ?
I have a little old laptop with XP that i use for flashing but i am sure that most of the new ROMs work fine with those drivers on windows 7

you can use something like vmware or windows virtual pc in it's built in win7 ... it's very usefull

I don't think anyone has yet posted this problem, but I would like to ask for help, maybe someone has found a way around it. I would like to have my original WINMO 6.5 booting in NAND on my HTC HD2, and then go to the file manager and boot the Android 4.2.1 JB from Clrcad and Haret. So far everything is OK, but the big problem is that however I try to set up the APN to get my 3G internet, it is not responding. When I remove the NAND WINMO6.5 form the telephone, and run the SD card android 4.2.1 JB via Magldr, everything including the APN settings work. Is there some incompatibility with the WINMO6.5 (possibly the radio or sonething else) which prohibits the APN's working in the Android system? Thnks very much for any help.
