Is it just me or does this app really really suck. It seems so unbelievably slow, running on a Focus on Mango. By far the slowest app I have. Another thing though not as important, for those of us who bought the Android XDA Premium app wouldn't it kinda seem fair for this app to be free, since we at XDA seem to change phones more than anyone just seems fair that we should be able to pay once for all platforms. And finally I bought it yesterday for .99 and I have no problem supporting XDA by purchasing the app but the price has already gone up. I definitely won't be recommending this app to anyone other than those who want to show their support and help out XDA. But as far as browsing the forums I will be using IE9 for that. What do you guys think.
dont have it...
I'll try it

So I paid for the app among how many thousands of other ppl and Microsoft decides it wont allow 3rd party apps to gain access to an account that we the gamer/consumer pay for and google does nothing but pull the app or apps from the market and issues no refunds what the heck is that about ...its not about the money its about the poor business practices and the lack of protection of the consumer

Yea well that's not gonna ever happen and im tellin ya what everytime they pull crap like this makes me wanna sell my 360 and get a ps3

Yea well deal with it. I can't understand why you need access to your gamertag on your phone if you can't play games.

I use an app called XBOX Live Statistics. It's nice because I can see if my friends are online or not, and I can send them XBL messages from my phone. It's a little slow, but worth the load time.
Its the fact all of us who paid for an app can now no longer use it and we got no refund from the dev or google but everyone will cry like babies about pirated software and protecting their work well im saying what's protecting our (the consumer) money.

I have paid for both apps and now I wont get updates to any of them... Nor will I get a refund for either of them. I dunno who I am displeased with more Microsoft, Google, or the app Devs
I also payed for this app... I got a bit pissed off when I noticed it wasn't available anymore

Absolutely not the devs or Google. Microsoft is at fault here. They disabled access and there was nothing anyone could do about it. Google could have given you the money back but you shouldn't be mad at them.

I didn't even know about this. I have xbox live statistics. Is the app no longer working? I haven't checked it in a day or so, but have a widget that treks me if I have any messages or how many of my friends are online. This is a real bummer and I hope the consumers show enough outrage that they allow access once again. This affecting other mobile platforms as well?

Yup that's exactly why these apps are useful. No need to keep booting up the Xbox or load the bloated website.
Removing access is not cool at all.
Buy a ps4 like iam going to I was a big xbox fan and I still like my 360 and xbox1 but after 4 POS 360s I will not buy the next xbox! And I did not buy win7 becuz M$ riped us 360 owners off with defetive ****y hardware! M$ really Sucks it all started after Bill gates left

well if they keep screwing with the servers to make it an "even playing field" im done with them I mean its not my.problem if the next guy has a slow connection its not fair to those of us that pay top dollar for high speed internet just to be drug down to their level atleast playstation network is free

They only pulled it because it cost money. Had it been free it would have stayed. That's their policy on the iPhone app store thus I assume the same thing here

Just verified that Spark 360 still works, glad I found this a while back and not the ones discussed in this thread
Guys I am switching from ATT to Verizon. I am trying to decide between the HTC Trophy and HTC incredible 2. I know all about android. But I hardly know a thing about WP7. Is it more user friendly, harder on a battery, etc.
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
Wow. There are many many threads discussing the merits of WP7, especially in regards to an Android comparison. Search the forum a little before posting

Well, I can tell you about it all day or you can just read this very comprehensive review: http://pocketnow.com/windows-phone/the-ultimate-windows-phone-7-mango-preview
Thanks exactly what i needed. Most of those comparisons that you find when searching are biased. Thus the reasoning for starting a new.

What I can say is that,if you cant see any features or anything amazing in WP7 mango, then you better go for android...Furthermore,honestly,there is no impressive hardware for wp7 (does not means I'm a android fanboy, what I want is just let the device has longer life,I'm not as rich as the rich people in this forum)or any major updates after mango have been announce...what I can tell you is all that...
everything is in your hand,we can't say anything, your money, your choice....
Ive tried many different version of applanete but none have been working so far, it just doesnt show anuthing
Please help
Easy fix...
Open the Android Market. Find the app you're looking for, and install it. If it's a paid app, purchase it.
Don't steal from developers that put a lot of time into making quality apps that make your phone better. If you can't afford the app, then use the free version or do without. Or learn how to make your own, put hours, days, months worth of work into it, and give it away for free.

Why the heck facebook takes 100mb ram??
Because its coded very poorly. FB is like crack to most of its users, so they don't care it uses a ****-ton of resources, so FB has no reason to bother coding it efficiently. Like a ton of other apps too. As the phones get more powerful, the devs get sloppier since they don't have to optimize. Same with computers, or any electronic, so few users are going to notice it doesn't matter to lose the few who do over sloppy code when compared to the money and time it might take to write it efficiently.
It doesn't pay to pay attention to such things anymore, there are just way to many of the clueless around out-spending the discerning consumers at a break-neck pace (i.e. the success of the iPhone). Join the herd or be forever disappointed.

yeah u r right, good point! that background detection is pretty bothering though.
Worse still is that even their mobile website is so poorly done that it sucks ever so slightly less than the app. So the only way to use Facebook reliably is with a computer. And morons were surprised when the ipo tanked!
Now ask yourself, did I really just read that? Yes you did.

Is anyone using any third party Facebook as a replacement? Like faster book or whatever its called.
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
Thinking about just using the browser instead of the app, it's so frickin bloated.
Try friendcaster
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using Tapatalk 2
Friendcaster is a really nice replacement, but it lacks permissions to show all the content, so often you get redirected to the browser. Facebook doesn't only create s crappy app, they also stop third party apps from making better ones :/

Dolphin Browser with the 'Desktop Browser' Addon and Full screen mode does a Facebook just fine. I find the mobile web version a bit more sufficient than the app. Justmy opinion...

A little convoluted, but if it gets the photos to load every time, worth it. That's really my major gripe with the app, after you look at a few photos, they stop loading. I have to back out, force close, and clear cache to get them back.

I am in the facebook developer programm ... I will take a look at it... I know that its really "crap" so some code modifications won't work better then another app... So there will be two options.. wait for a new one...or write a new one..

Tell us how you really feel. With all the money and non- monetization from mobile use, you'd think it would be his... Mark Z's biggest priority after he is done shopping for Camera app developer's.

HAs anyone even remotley noticed the lag/The time delay/slow response time when loading up browsing forums or pretty much anything on xda app ??
Doesnt matter what phone or if your on 4g ..lte.. or some highend wifi speeds.
The Xda app only... Not when Xda web browsing but the app itself ive been monitoring how it performs for about 6-8months and it has so much lag when choosing a forum or sub forums
Or Topic creating ... loading and browsing the app all together has gotten slow and its the same way on any highend device.
Wonder if this is even been brought to anyones attention.
Anyone who has frequented the app going back to the Galaxy s2 and vibrant days all the way to now should NOTICE This issue.
Server over load? Can't handle the popularity rise and demand? Flooded forums?
