I took the ED2 ROM, deodexed and zip aligned it, then debloated it and added in a few useful things. This has most of the stuff removed that came with the Stock ROM, including TWLauncher, which has been replaced with AOSP Launcher. The ROM is rooted and also includes busybox for some useful linux tools. I've also included the Gingerbread keyboard from here as another keyboard alternative. This is not fully tested yet, so there may be a few issues. As people use it, I can add things people would like (such as mods as they become available), or remove stuff people don't want/use.

So, I've already got the voodoo lagfix from jt1134 on my Charge, would using this mess that up?
Oh and thanks for the work you've done!
beautiful... will try in a few.
thank you!!!
No, you will need to flash this via the CWM that he posted.
I'm also trying to get "Go Back" into CWM, as well as releasing a kernel posted soon.

You can use the three button method "VolUp-VolDown + Power" Release power when the Samsung logo appears.
Or
Use Quick Boot from the Market, works for me.
Quick questions, can this be flashed over voodoo?
Do I have to do a wipe first?
Thanks bud.

I'd actually use "Reboot Button" since it also manages the Voodoo lagfix file...
Ill be all over this later on tonight, Thanks IMNUTS
Let the fun begin

Same question as above, I just installed voodoo's kernel. Do I just boot into CWM and then install as a .zip?
This can be flashed regardless of what kernel you're on, as long as you have CWM available. You can choose to wipe cache/dalvik if you want, but it isn't necessary from my experience.
If you were on stock and had an update for My Verizon, you may need to use Titanium Backup to finish removing it as I found out. The same likely goes for any other apps that were in stock but were updated from the Market.
I'll start removing more things then as I figure out what it is they do and if they are necessary for normal use of the phone. There are some apks left that I'm not sure what they do yet, so I'm leaving them in for now.
If you keep the media hub, you should probably revert it to ED1 so the can't play on 3G "feature" is gone.

After upgrading to Tiamet Moray 2.2.2 I can no longer download images from my camera or use the DSLR Remote app. I have to keep this functionality restored. Do I need to revert back to stock images and then root?
I just rooted and installed MOAR rom 1.1. Absolutely loving it so far but whenever I try to change my lockscreen wallpaper and choose from my gallery it says that the app is not installed. Is there another way to do this or am I missing something?

Did you install stock gallery or AOSP gallery? I was having problems with AOSP gallery so I reflashed the MOAR 1.1 ROM and choose the stock gallery app, reinstalling the ROM wont erase anything at all just choose install add-ons only and skip to gallery part.
Doh!

Thanks so much! Problem solved. In my haste to get rid of everything touchwiz I didn't realize that some functions might rely on the default apps.

What ROM are you running?
Hi, is it possible to swap standard stock apps with alternative apps? I don't really like the contacts, phone and calendar apps from Samsung. I know I could always disable the standard apps and just use the other ones, but is there a way to get rid of them forever without root or installing a custom rom?
You can do this https://www.xda-developers.com/disable-system-app-bloatware-android/amp/, but they will reappear after a factory reset.
