Yes.

As far as I know the only difference between the i9020 and i9023 is the display. So they're practically the same.

[Q] Nexus S i9023 sLCD updates

I am from India and recently purchased Nexus S i9023 since I am fan of Google but now I have a serious doubt whether Google will be give OTA update(like android 2.3.4 announced today, etc) to i9023 model or it will be given only to i9020 model(US models)? Please Help
You will just have to wait for the OTA or until someone releases the file, like the rest of us i9023 users.

How Do I know Which is SAMOLED and SLCD

I'm in the UK and about to buy the nexus s, just sold my xperia x10 (I will never buy an se phone), I want the SAMOLED version, is there any way of telling which is which?
Thanks.
I went through this recently. If the model is a 9023 variant then I believe it's Super LCD. If it's a 9020 variant then it's probably Super AMOLED. But be sure to explicitly ask the seller before you buy. I bought one on eBay which was decsribed as SAMOLED and when it arrived it wasn't and there was a big argument about taking it back, even though he'd wrongly advertised it.

thank you very much for your reply. I'm thinking of getting one on eBay. so if you go to settings, the model number should be GT i9020?
Check the serial : 9023 is slcd always. I'd go with that better battery life...

[Q] Korean Nexus S(SHW-M200)

Hi! is the korean Nexus S(SHW-M200) the same with other variants? are all the roms for the nexus S compatible with it? and lastly, what is the difference between the korean version and the US/europe version? TIA!!!

What's the difference between the 19020a, 19020t, and the 19023....? Confused. Besides SAMOLED and AMOLED screens is there anything else? Dimension wise I mean

I9023 is a version of i9020T
The i9023 has a super clear LCD screen not a AMOLED
The i9020T is the T-Mobile version which uses the same frequencies as the UK but in the US
The i9020A is the AT&T version which uses different frequencies so to the T so its not compatible with T mobile Sims or on the UK
Fyi its a AMOLED, SAMOLED wasn't out when nexus s was released

I think the M200K is only 800mhz instead of 1ghz.

I have searched all over internet and I could not find any difference.
1) Model: GT-I9020T
Carrier/s: T-Mobile USA, Wind, Mobility
Bandwidth: 900/1700/2100
Screen: Super AMOLED
2) Model: GT-I9020A, GT-I9020F
Carrier/s: AT&T, Rogers, Fido, Telus, Bell
Bandwidth: 850/1900/2100
Screen: Super AMoled
3) Model: GT-I9023
Carrier/s: Most countries outside of north america
Screen: Super Clear LCD
4) Model: SPH-D720 (Nexus S 4g)
Carrier: Sprint
Screen: Super AMOLED
Bandwidth: 800MHZ/1900MHZ/2.5GHZ
5) Model: SHW-M200K, SHW-M200S (Korean Variants)
Carrier/s: KT, SKT
Screen: Super AMOLED
Nexus S in Korea will have the same 4-inch Super AMOLED display with curved glass screen, 1GHz CPU, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, 16GB internal storage, mVoIP, gyro sensor and NFC.

Hey Im also planning to buy same Nexus S Model. Can I also install the available Custom ROM at this section or they are all device specific? Example I9020/23 (Nexus S - Int.) is not for SWH-200k (Nexus S - Anycall)? Hope someone answer before I buy this phone and forbid me of forever blaming my self on buying Wrong Phone to be modded at.
Go for it. I am currently using stock jelly beans on same model and custom ROMs can also be flashed.

Are you using the SHW-M200K? So can I root it the way that the GT-I9020 does? And all the CWM and Custom-ROMS , does it works? I don't want to spent hours to unbrick my phone again.
And can you show me instruction link to rooting the SHW-M200K
