SuperAOSP config - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i flashed this rom , but one of the steps is the following
"It is important before you set up Google account to be activated from applications before SupSetup so that when you connect to the servers to configure your Google account, they enter the downloads section.
After entering the market and to display applications install any application downloads for cool downloads."
am i not suppose to enter my google account, or do i enter the google account first
thanks

This is the second time i do this, never mind found my answer
"It is important to activate the applications from the SupSetup before setting up the google account, so as when the phone sync with the servers while setting up the google acount, this extra applications fall into the download section. After opening the market, and for the applications to show in the download section, just install any free application, so the market wil resync the downloads.

[Q] ISO: App to designate with which google account other apps should interact

Hello XDA community, I'm looking for an app or other way to to specify with which google account on my phone other apps should interact. I find it strange that we can set up several google accounts on a single phone but then have no way to tell programs which to use ( on a case-by-case basis or even as a default).
The only app I've encountered that does support this functionality is Shawn Q.'s Quick App Tracker (search on market - I don't have enough posts to include an external link). In its preferences there is a field "Google Account" with a dropdown menu that self-populates with the google accounts set up on the phone - you choose one, and then the first time you use the program and it attempts to connect to the market it prompts you with an access request you can allow or deny.
So the functionality exists, but it is clearly not something frequently included with apps that request access via a google account to Android services. Does anyone know of an app or even way to manually control this?
thanks

[Q] Decrease OS services data usage

Hi guys
I need to know how to curb the data usage of OS services. I'm using ICE DS V6.5.
The problem is that if I want Gmail to sync and receive push messages, then under Droidwall I need to open : Google Play services, Google Services framework, Google account manager, network location, Google bookmark sync and Google contact sync for use. As they are all one "option" there is no way to open up individual ones.
When this is open, OS services starts to use too much data. It ranges from 2MB to 12MB per day. This is what I'm trying to stop. I have set the phone not to backup/restore settings as I've read this might be the cause. I've now tried turning off the Facebook contact sync and the Google contact sync. It still uses the data.
I'm guessing this is something to do with the ROM as I've had this working before in other ROMs with the above mentioned options opened and no drastic data use.
Any ideas ?
UPDATE: I've just left all those services disabled and now use K-9 for my email.
Its still using data. It used 6MB today while the second highest app was 272KB.
The only things allowed through Droidwall and their usages for today are :
Clock widget - 98KB
K-9 mail - 272KB
Facebook messenger - 120KB
Mxit(IM app) - 66KB
Opera Mini - 160KB
Tango(VoIP) - 0KB
Tapatalk(Forum app) - 0KB
Whatsapp(IM) - 175KB
ALL of the above apps are listed individually under My Data Manager, which (probably) means that they are not part of the OS services banner.

Hard to say with that few information.
You can try to clear app data and cache of Play store in Settings > Application manager > All ... (or where ever it's on your device).
Then start Play store app again.
If you are on original/stock firmware, you can also wipe data/do a factory reset. But keep in mind that you have a backup of everything important before wiping.
If that does not help, please contact Google (or your mobile carrier, or the hardware manufacturer) service directly, and ask for help.
Maybe it's an issue with your Google account(s).
For further information, check your device specific forum or ask in the General discussion > Questions and Answers forum.

How to Add User Accounts to Android

If you have kids you'll be used to them wanting to borrow your phone or tablet to play games or listen to music, but perhaps you don't really want them near your own apps and data where they might break something. Adding user accounts to Android is a great way to keep other users of your device out of your business, and can also make it easier to apply parental controls.
To add a user account to your Google phone or tablet that person will need their own Google account, which is now possible even for kids with Family Link. (If it's your own Google account you want to add to the device you would be better off adding it to your own account.)
Do note that any users added to your phone will be able to accept updated app permissions, so only share your device with people you trust. On the other hand, since you have the Admin account you'll be able to uninstall apps and remove storage space on user accounts.
-Open the Settings menu and scroll down to and select System
-Choose Advanced to see more options
-Select Multiple Users
-Click + Add user to create a new account and click Ok to the pop-up warning
-A second pop-up will prompt you to set up the new user - click Set Up Now to switch to the user account
-Click Continue
-Enter the Google ID login credentials for the new account as prompted
-Agree to the Terms of Service and accept the privacy policy as prompted
-Set a PIN, passcode or fingerprint as prompted
-Set up Voice Match for Google Assistant as prompted
-You'll then be offered options to add another email account, change the font size, change the wallpaper and review additional ---apps. Choose any of these or click No thanks

Force enable Whatsapp fingerprint feature.(If not available for your region)

Hello everyone,
I just read today over the internet that whatsapp has finally released its "Unlock with Finger Print Feature" on the beta version 2.19.221.
Post reading this i quickly jumped to my play store and checked my whatspp version as I was already enrolled as a beta tester.
But with no luck as may others, even being on the same version I didn't found the option in my whatsaap privacy settings.
Ya i also tried sideloading the apk from three different sources, but no luck.
Then, i had only one choice i.e to make my own luck.
Follow the below process(this is what i did).
Prerequisites:
1) Whatsapp 2.19.221 beta apk.(get it from apkmirror)
2) A decent VPN app that will let u connect to UK. ( i use tunnel bear from play store)
3) An additional gmail id that u might have lying arround. (note: make sure whatsaap has never been installed from this gmail id from play store)
Lets begin:
1)Clear cache and data of play store and whatapp from your phone(don't just simply uninstall whatsapp) Clear cache and data is mandatory.(also backup ur chats and data beforehand)
2) connect to UK server using VPN.
3) Login play store with the fresh gmail ID that u might have and accept the play store policy request popup.
4) close down play store and remove from recents.
5) Install the whatsapp 2.19.221 apk that u previously downloaded from play store.
6)Follow the whatsapp setup process as usual. ( no need to change your country in whatsapp.... as for me it was India so i kept it that way and used my regular whatsapp number that i have my whatsapp on..It will take some time to get the OTP as ur on a VPN connection...for me its took around 2min)
7)After the setup headover to the three dotted menu in whatsapp--->Settings--->Account--->Privacy--->at the very bottom U should have the Option named "Fingerprint Lock"
Have a good day.
