Right now my camera is set to store my pictures and videos in /sdcard/DCIM/Camera/ Is there anyway to change this to something like /emmc/DCIM/Camera/ ? The stock camera app allows me to change between internal and external storage but CM does not

i found that when i take a picture i can't save it in my pictures where the camera album reads.it saves only in my documents.
there are 2 options storage and main memory in storage everything is ok.
the problem comes when i want to save image in to my pictures.
i search the registry and everything seems fine.
anyone else c that?
camera album
go to camera save the pictures in card
when you take a photo press the magnifing glass icon the picture stays in camera album and is stored in the card
yes i did that but the next time you open the cube to c pictures they are not there..........
i found the solution.
rename in the main memory under my documents/my pictures the folder my pictures to something else like my pictures2
then after you open again the camera album will search for allo your photos and you can see them in.

I have tried. But it will search within the Main memory rather than in the Storage Memory.....
My problem is that i'm using another app than the camera to capture video and pictures into the DCIM folder. Thus Android doesn't pickup new pics and video in the DCIM folder.
to fix this, I need to run "dev tools > media provider > scan sd card" to fresh. or reboot he phone to force a refresh each time. Then i'm able to see everything in gallery etc...
Is there a way to force this media scan to happen every 1hr? ie in the build.prop or something? I do have root access..
thanks.
A simple solution would be to use QuickPic. It's better than the stock gallery app in all aspects imho
+1 for QuickPic
I have a strange problem. I have rooted 6045Y with cm-12.1. I would like to save my photos into external sd. I have changed camera storage into external sd.
When I take a photo, it makes folder /storage/sd1/DCIM/Camera and saves photo there. So far, so good.. but when I after a while check the folder, everything inside DCIM is disappeared?!?

I can however save files into external sd. Yes, I can but they disappear, if they are in folder. I put some .mp3 files into root of my card and those didn't disappear. However, I can't listen them, because they misses.

Yes this is a current problem in CM 12.1 certain camera apps will save photos on the external sd card, ex. Open Camera.

But stock camera and for example Camera360 saves the photos there, but after couple of minutes photos have disappeared.
I can I put .mp3 files into root of my card (and they stay there), but I can't listen them, because songs misses.
Is there any way to use external viewer in the camera app instead of using the stock gallery? The stock gallery sucks and it shows all the photos from the most recent, not the pics in the "camera" folder only.
There is an xposed module called "Samsung Any Gallery Fix" by @moneytoo. Tried but no luck.

Can any developer mod the camera app so it can be able to use external viewers?
I can donate to support this project or to support it in other ways.
Sorry for my bad english.
I am currently using the Samsung Galaxy S7 running Nougat. The problem is that when I go into my gallery from my camera app photos appear from other folders that are in my sd card. How would I fix this issue. I just want photos that I took with my camera to show up.
You can go to the folder you want to hide in gallery and make a new file named .nomedia
Folder should now be excluded from mediascan and be invisible in gallery.
