Need help with my htc magic 32b

Hi all, I'm a newbie here. I've got a vodafone htc magic 32b from AU. And it's running 1.6 dount. I would like to root it and install custom rom on it. I've try a lot but couldn't work. Is anyone can give me a hand, please give me an instruction on how to root it and install custom rom. Many thanks! appreciate all your help!!!

hey guys i recently bought a phone of a local supplier and it turned out to be one of those vodaphone branded os, is there anyway to replace the OS with the original one ?
its an HTC TATTOO with version 1.6 OS.

you can go to the official thread of htc tatoo , in thos forum , you can find roms of android 2.1 , 2.2 and 2.3

I have a HTC wildfire s and I really want to root it I currently am running android 2.3.5 and software version 2.26.401.3 if yous can give me a clear step by step that would be amazing thank you
