Is it possible to save/backup the user account info for Gmail/FB/Twitter etc
I have 2 FB, 1 twitter and 5 Gmail accounts and would like to avoid entering them every time I flash a rom.

I think titanium back up has that ability. It has an option to backup user accounts... I'm unsure if that means multiple or only one account.
It'd be worth looking in to.

Backing up and restoring any system data like user accounts is never a good idea as upon restore if restoring to a different base can cause issues. So backing up any system data is not advised
And restoring with Titanium Backup this:

There are apks that will back up your texts and mms. Don't back up apns.

Hey guys i need some help, i want to install a fresh rom and just want to restore my Texts(sms) and contacts, any idea how to ? i try restoring SMS but it never comes back, but if i do the whole restore, i get my texts back

The trick is to find the CORRECT file(s) to restore. For example, I use Handcent for SMS. So I restore the Handcent app & data and then all of my SMS comes back.
Note: in order for you to see your contacts after restoring them, you need to reboot. (At least I do!)

I found soothing related to SMS but after restoring it and rebooting. It doesn't come back

Have you tried restoring the mms.apk data? I know you need that file to send sms so maybe they are stored there. If you type contacts into the edit field it should bring it 3 or 4 .com options restore data in the first or second one and reboot and your contacts should be there,j just did on my girlfriends transform but cant remember which one I restored get contacts with.
For the future it is easier to export your contacts to your sd card and download gosms to backup your sms

Yes and no. not just settings. If a ROM is updated or u flash a different ROM, what u think gone happen if u restore that system stuff?
I´m using Titanium Backup Pro for all User Apps and Mybackup Root for everything except Apps.
+ Nandroidbackup with CWM
Back up only your User apps and apps data. Backing up your system settings may cause crashes or bugs when u flash a different ROM or a newer ROM and might actually affect the performance.
Dont back up system data then how to back up CONTACT and SMS by using Titanium back up? Or we should use other back up tool for Contact and Sms?
Back up everything. There is no reason not to back up everything. When you restore, just choose to restore all apps+data and you'll be fine (it always restores sms and contacts for me). Just don't restore system and it will work out, so that's why I say to back it up because it doesn't hurt

I used the superwipe before flashing ARHD rom from stock rom. After that I lost all my contacts and sms after that. I don't know what to use next time if i need to use the superwipe again so I wouldn't lose my contacts and sms etc. Can I use Titanium backup for this?

I use my backup pro, for everything. Most like titanium though. My backup pro does it all, in a cleaner interface. To each each his own though, as always. For contacts, u don't sync?

titanium backup PRO
I like rooting and installing custom ROMS on my phone, but one thing I DESPISE is having to download/restore all the apps I previously had because I had to do a wipe before installing the new ROM. Are there any tools that allow you to bundle up various apps + data in a sort of "package" that allows you to reinstall your programs with 1 easy step, or is the best option still to just Titanium Backup everything and manually backup then manually reinstall?

How is it better? At a glance it appears they both do the same thing..
TB will do all of it in a batch
open TB, hit menu button, batch....restore MISSING apps + data

So I would do a Backup all user apps + System Data and then when i install a new ROM just do Restore missing apps + all system data? Could that cause problems when restoring system data on different ROMs?
It could cause problems restoring system data if your using a different type of ROM. Ex. Going from a Sense ROM to AOSP could cause issues. App data will work fine though.

yes. batch, backup user apps, does include the associated data.
The only advantage i observe with mybackup--we can even save sms, mms etc..probably contacts as well, if u have some phone contacts
And one small suggestion...never ever restore system data from any backups...it causes really weird things...

Yeah, I would say you can restore system data, but only *if you know exactly what your doing*. If you are unsure, leave the system data alone and just backup user apps and their data. I've gotten some pretty nasty errors from trying to restore system data to a different rom. I have had success with backing up my sms/mms and restoring them to the same type of rom though (i.e. cm7 rom to another cm7 rom) (if you try it you will have to reboot before they appear btw).
Again, if you are unsure, just skip the system data backups. It's normally not worth the hassle.
Yeah all I'm really concerned about is backing up my apps. I don't care about saving specific things like call logs, SMS, or ringtone preferences. Thanks all for the info.
Quick question. There have been times where I've read that it's not good to restore stuff from Titanium Backup when flashing a new rom but is it on to just restore the apps without data? I think that's essentially the same as just downloading then from the market right?

At the batch menu you can restore missing apps with data. You just don't want to restore any system data.

I always restored my missing apps without data in the past (didn't restore any system) just to be on the safe side, but that's good to know that restoring data works fine for user apps.

Wanted to know what you did is it applicable if you are upgrading your rom from gingerbread to ics?
And i also did that but was always on gingerbread
I used titanium backup when for the first time to backup all my apps + app data and restore it after installing a new rom. It didn't work. It took forever to install the apps because I didn't pay for the premium version, and after it did install it didn't actually transfer the app data properly for most of my apps. My save games were lost and most apps didn't log me in from the save data.
So i downloaded Go Backup, which is much simpler to use and always works. Backsup all apps you want, and restores them in the same way titanium pro does, all at once without you having to accept each app. And the difference is my game saves and app accounts were auto logged in the first time I opened them. I would say Go Backup is a much better solution if all you need to do is backup apps + app data. Don't waste your time with titanium (and it's crappy UI).

i switched from my good old SGS1 to SGS3.
I did a backup of my call log and sms with Titanium Backup Pro (Key) "Save to xml"... sms/mms and call log
Moved the xml files to the new phone and tried to restore xml backups.
But... TB opens only an empty text file - no restore no nothing
Did i something wrong?

Found a solution myself.
I had to choose auto indirect (2nd option) at the last point at options menu. Something like "problems with backup / restore".

... you are better off using SMS Backup & Restore for your messages. You can set it to auto-backup every day, hour or whatever and even dump the backup onto DropBox.

Yes, Simon is right, for your messages you are better off using SMS backup & restore from the playstore. It is very easy to use.

I think you can do it also with TB on the menu 'Schedule', and then in 'Add schedule'.
But I also use SMS Backup & Restore, I think it's more simple. This to SMS and TB to Apps :silly:

All well and good for SMS, but how would you backup and restore MMS?
Titanium backup does both. The only other app I found that does both
is "MMS Backup and Restore", but it's full of bugs and I haven't had
much success with it.

I've used the TiBackup SMS/MMS restore and it works great. I don't really need the scheduled backups though, I would just backup before installing a new ROM or something. You could even backup straight to Dropbox and have a backup in case you lose your phone.
Do you mind elaborating how?

I know that I've successfully backed up my sms/mms in Titanium Backup because when I went to restore everything (moving from evo 3d to evo 4g lte so that was a big no-no in itself) all of the sms/mms came over to the new phone. Of course, restoring everything caused problems so I had to undo the operation via factory reset. Now, I'm manually restoring only the elements that I need, but cannot for the life of me figure out where the sms/mms information would be stored. Any insight you can provide would be much appreciated.
