When I scroll down in the stock browser the menu bar disappears at the top, any way to make it stay visible?
Don't think so. You could try hunting in the market for an alternative browser that meets your needs though.

If you want the menu bar to re-pop up. Just click the little arrow in the top left corner in the tab.

Thks I bet I looked there 10 times, If it was a snake it would have bit me.
Is this possible
hide the notification bar
but still be able to pull down and reveal notifications
I've always wondered so. It would look so clean, and work so well with certain setups!

I know you can on ADW EX..... can't remember whether Go Launcher or Launcher Pro can.....haven't used those in quite a while....
Long days and pleasant nights............
ADW Launcher Ex does that. it's what i use. then just set gestures - swipe down - open notifications.
oh damn, thanks anyways
im on LPP
Launcher Pro does do this. At least hides the notifcation bar. I use a swipe up to show the notifications. Doesnt take to long to get used to..
Also try Zeam if you prefer something lightweight.

Go Launcher has a function you can set to draw the status bar up and down. It works very well, Drag up and it goes away. Drag down and it appears. Drag down and notifications then drag down.
Dave
ADW is what i'm using now and am loving it for this reason. On my hero and evo i always used lp, when i got the epic it was go launcher. Even though i used ADW in the past i just stumbled across that feature recently and it is by far my favorite.
+1 for zeam on lightweight launchers.
Ics launcher will let you hide the notification bar and give you a taste of ICS at the same time

im using launcher pro and i do not see any options to use a 'swipe' action for custom actions.
how ever i do have my status bar hidden and changed my home key button to show/hide my notifications instead of showing a preview of all my screen which works better for me since im only using 3 screen

long press one of the dock icons, you can then choose "Swipe gesture"
I do the same as lilmexx, hide notification and swipe up across my dock icon to open the notifications.

oooh okay i gotcha.. forgot about those settings. pressing the home button for me seems to work better though & faster as sometimes it doesn't pick up my swipe action on the 1st try all the time
thanks guys!!
now my themes can get craizer!
Not sure why it happens but the arrows at the bottom of the default HTC keyboard sometimes disappear.
It's not unpredictable, in certain apps they just don't show like now when using xda but on browser address bar they are back again.
To me this seems not a bug but something designed in this way. Just could someone tell me how to make them stay no matter what app you are using? Really like them.
Thanks.

Notification HUD still in a early beta version.
You have to enable notification access for this App through the configuration button in the App.
This App bring you a Notification HUD in the lateral of your screen.
You can delete the notification by long pressing it or open the notification by single press.
Comments are welcome.
Screenshots and Download in ATTACHED FILES.
FEATURES
v1.1 beta:
Lateral bar with more sensibility
Top notification slide down when arrives another
Lateral bar revised and optimized a bit
v1.0 beta:

HOW IT WORKS
Open lateral notification HUD: slide left to right from the left side of the screen.
Close lateral notification HUD: slide right to left over the notification HUD. If you slide it from outside it will doesn't work.

Nice app. Still a can be difficult to slide the bar out (especially since I have a case on my phone)... Maybe include configurable bar dimensions in the future.
That aside.. It works great. Would be cool to implement expanding notifications somehow
Didn't test it, but can we also change the side of the screen where I want to slide from to open it, can't have it on the left side because it's allready used by swapps and would take some time to get used to having it on the other side?
Also, while downloading a file the notification (the one on the top of screen) for the download repeats over and over.
I can install this apk

OK when you pull down your status bar, you can sometimes (on some roms) swipe to the right or left on a blank spot and it will switch over to the Quick Tiles pulldown.
I have tried looking everywhere that lets me turn it on, or a Xposed module, etc.
I have no idea what it is really called. Anyone know/can help?
Roms that have it.

Stock Roms, etc.
Thanks again for any info as this is bugging me.

But that only lets you from pulldown. I'm talking about when it is already pulled down. You swipe (like you would to clear a notification) on a empty spot and it takes you to quick tiles, and vise versa.

Oh right. It doesn't have a name. I don't know anyway to get this without flashing a rom to get it
Damn... that's the last thing that's driving by ocd crazy... My favorite rom doesn't have that and I have no idea what it's called or how to add it.

On the stock ROM, when you pull down the status bar, the icon on the right side top allows you to toggle between notifications screen and the quick tiles. Are you looking for that, but with a swipe instead? (if so, why not just click that icon instead? Saves you a swipe)
The swipe is good an easy. I missed it. The icon is just a bit too far away. Glad I have it in slim

My right thumb can barely move due to a injury. So swiping helps quite a lot.
