So you're saying that in testing through actual usage you've seen better results?
All conditions being the same, you've determined that the new battery gives you a longer amount of time between charges than the stock battery does?

yes, it last longer than the stock battery.
I bought three of these batteries, because they were like $1 each from China, and all of them are no different than the stock. Grab a tool and check the actual capacity and you will see that they are exactly the same spec as the OEM battery.
By the way, this is very old news. Did you search before posting? I didn't think so.

JK or not, he never did say it was an "internal" battery.
I bought one of these, isn't really 1600 but works good as a spare once my original dies completely.
I was thinking about buying a 1500 mah battery from ebay then I read a thread stating that the Inspire 4g stock battery lasted longer. The "Mah" rating is not industry regulated so basicly a manufacture can put 1600 mah on a battery thats 1100 mah without getting reprimanded or fined. So be carefull where you buy these batterys from and make sure the Co. is reputable first.

The technology itself is the cap. For this size this is the most juice you are going to get, unless they figure out a way to pack more energy cells into the same amount of space. Which they haven't. Don't be fooled. The battery that came with phone is the best available for this phone.

All that did is calibrate the battery. It's not going to hold any more juice than the space allows. It's physics. Until a new technology comes out...

The one review seems to be quite thorough. Seems to work fairly well. Not really sure if its worth $30 though. I got 2 1600 mah batteries and a battery charger for $9. So for a third of the price I can swap batteries and get 3X the battery life. Only downside is having to carry the other batteries around.

Will do. I'll see how it performs over a few days of my typical usage -- a few phone calls, lots of texting, internet and more internet, a few rounds of Wheel of Fortune, more internet lol.
Best case scenario would be a few hours more battery life. After all, the advertised capacity is only 20% more than the OEM battery.

A battery can't be judged by a single usage cycle. You have have to cycle it a couple of times for it to get in the groove of charging and discharging properly But with that said, you won't really see all that much of a difference from 1500 mAh to 1800 mAh. You might squeeze in an extra hour or two through a days use, but not much more then that sadly

Tested with a computer voltage logger over multiple discharge cycles.
No, the OPs battery was not tested, but since NOT ONE after market battery has EVER lived up to its marking, its clearly delusional to think this battery may just be the one thats legitimate.
It's a profitable game for them and buyers are naive and want to believe in the magic.
A rip-off is selling a product fraudulently, regardless if it still has value.
Specifically, a battery that tests to be less that 5% of its stamped rating is a fraud.

Informative chart. Thanks for the link. I've used aftermarket batteries for other phones and have had anywhere from decent performance to one that wouldn't even last 5 hours lol. Not expecting stellar results from this one either, but I got it for only $15 so if it gives even a decent day's usage then it will be worth the $15.
I've used it for about 2 days so far and its been holding up okay. Waiting to see if its gets any better after a few discharge/charge cycles before I really make up my mind about it.

I understand the battery capacity number is hardcoded in the HD, so even if it were higgher capacity, it would still show that.
If you have a multimeter or other specialised equipment, that's the best way. Also, you'll need to run a few charging cycles to get a good comparison.
But anyway, cheap ebay batteries are just that. If you search this section, you will see tens of threads about fake batteries offering high capacity.
The only geniune high capacity battery is Mugen's, there are a couple of threads already about this battery.

wow thats real ****...thanks for the warning...Ive heard issue on all the brands that make aftermarket battery...only the original HTC seems to be actually the best performing units.
Not only the stock battery is probably the best performing one, but also the safest. Always be aware of the expansion and the heat that cheap batteries produce. It can damage your phone easily.
As for the capacity measurement, if you drain/charge the battery with higher current, it will show less capacity. Still the measured 1176mAh is probably closer to the truth than the printed 1800mAh.

Agreed, I bought one of these Andida batteries from eBay as well, had it in for a couple of months & i've now gone back to the original battery. In my opinion, it doesnt last as long as the stock HTC battery.
I´ve bought this battery last week over ebay and at the 1st day i was pleased, because the operating time with it seems better than with the original battery. But after five daily loading sessions the battery drain gets faster and faster. Yesterday, after 1,5 hours Angry Birds and a little time listening music it runs from 100 to 38%. Today i´ve installed the original battery back and i was surprised. After five days in the drawer of my desk it shows 99% accu state. I will stay at the original.
not 1800mAh
It has only 1170mAh
anyone find a good replacement with higher cap ?
Thanks for warning.
As far as i know there's nothing better then mugen's 1500 =(

generally speaking the weight of the battery relates to the amount of li-ion in the battery (this can only be a generalization due to the casing of the battery and the like) but simply put the higher the weight the larger amount of li-ion in the battery which increases the Amp Hours; Ah
edit: so continuing on a 2300mAh battery should be heavier than a 1500mAh battery as it would have more li-ion in it
so anyone got one this already and tested it out
I have BXT'S extended model BP6X and am using it with my Motorola XT720. The BXT battery weighs in at 24g (it is rated at 2200 mAh) and the OEM BP6X weighs in at 28.7g (which is rated at 1390 mAh) I have used the battery for about a day (with the charge that it had shipped with) and it didn't last very long. I was also running a 1.2ghz overclock at the time so that could have contributed to it too. I believe however that I need to charge it for about 10 hours or so the first charge, just to make sure it has its full capacity. (which I have not done yet) I can give a full overview in a day or so if you guys would like.
This is the one I have:

Yes, that is probably true. I have also heard reports of android's battery meter not correctly read the % of battery power on these BXT extended batteries but it may vary from phone to phone so people will have to test it out on their devices. What the report said was that the battery would quickly drop to 25% and then it would take HOURS to drop to 0% but low battery messages would pop up frequently during that time because the phone believed the battery was that low, even though the actual battery % was not that low because it was just incorrectly reading it. I could not tell yet from a few hours of use whether or not I experienced this problem with my BXT BP6X.
Don't buy bxt 2300 mah
I ordered this BXT 2300mAh battery on July 21st 2011.
1st of all it came after 15 long days of waiting.
and when it finally arrived the battery was non functional. DOA
(that might be a one time thing)
But what's really surprising is the weight. As someone mentioned before; if the battery is more powerful it should be heavier. So, a 2300mAh should have more li-ion and should be quite a bit heavier then 1520mAh Stock. right?
(someone correct me if I'm wrong)
well this battery doesn't even weigh as much as the stock.
my conclusion: FAKE FAKE FAKE!!!
I just filed a PayPal claim to get a full refund.
Don't be sucked into buying this battery!
Guys, sorry to resurrect this thread but I've just got one of these with the Sensation I've just bought.
It weighs 34g exactly the same as the Anker I've got. Bot tried the Anker yet so can't compare how they both perform.

The Anker 1600 mah battery is like $8? $9? On ebay. After batt calibration, this thing can go over 36 hrs running cm7. Mugen's are awesome too. Not all the batteries on there are bad, but as a general rule, stay away from anything shipping from Asia.
Still it is the wrong forum but as long as the topic is open....
+1 for the Anker 1600 batteries. Picked up 2 and a universal charger on ebay for about $15. Have only been using one of the batteries. But the difference is very noticeable over the HTC battery. Much better battery life. Installed Battery Monitor Widget to get some stats on the battery. Reported at 1480mAh. Don't know if the app is correct. HTC battery may have been starting to degrade already too which says alot of its quality. But the Anker battery so far for me has been out performing the HTC battery.

fake
Looks fake to me. I bought an extended battery a few months ago to replace my stock battery. It was actually worse than the stock battery. I would bet that this is a standard capacity battery with a gold packaging to make it look even better.
I bought a refurb'd inspire 4g. My battery was faulty, like my phone kept shutting down randomly.
Then I got a battery from aftermarket, all is well.
Mine lasts 2 days with juice defender, without it, it's like 6 hrs.

I used to say the same thing over and over. But my white laptopmate batteries are still kicking butt. Battery monitor rates them on average of 1475mAh. If you want to call that extended, I wouldn't. No it doesn't rate them 1600 like the packaging says. Whether that value is correct or not doesn't really matter to me. They work well and I believe better than the original. Our oem battery is chinese made too by the way.
And maybe these third party manufacturers do rate them loosely. Or maybe the oem batteries are rated very conservatively. I never had a chance to see what battery monitor rated my oem. But these 2 batteries and universal charger were worth every penny of the $15 I spent.
I learn that if turn off the wifi when you not use, will let unit run longer

My battery is not original may be it is 2600 mah may be ))) my screen time is 2 hour
What about the ZeroLemon ones? I've heard they're good

I've been using ZeroLemon 3000mAh batteries for the last year or so. They're great. They add a tiny bit of bulk to the back of the phone, no big deal. You should know that they malfunction and deteriorate after like one year so you have to replace it then ASAP.
zerolemon 7500mah user here for a year now and this beast battery is still performing well...
heavy gaming ( clash of clans ) it gives me 13-15hrs Screentime...
charge it when im sleeping...
Moderate usage no gaming data connection on ( when is need to check something ) off when not in use. roughly 2-2 1/2 days.
my s4 can act like a powerbank aswell by the use of an USB OTG..
Ye, it is very nice choise! I have bought it to

Back then i had 2 choices.
To buy a new original battery which i am not sure if im gonna recieve a legit original one or just another knockoff. ( same screentime 3-4hrs max )
Or to buy a zerolemon which will definitely give me a better screentime guaranteed
Using the ravpower 2800 mah battery. I don't think there's a huge difference, but it lasts longer than the OEM, obviously because it's newer, but Aldo because it has that extra 200mah.
Can't go wrong with this battery, and it's only $10, compared to the ridiculous prices they're charging for the OEM version. Also, way too many counterfeit batteries out there to order an OEM.

Trying out one of these from Ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/252115973831
But not real happy w/ it so far seems to drain faster than my Anker. Will give it a few charge cycles first to see if it settle down. Batterey Stat only showed it was about 3800 mAh, which is to be expected.

Yes, have had one for almost 2 years now, working 100%.
Wanted to try this higher capacity ebay one, it seems to be working a bit better as it settles in.
You can't lose by using Anker though.:good:

Still not sure about this thing...seems to be drainer faster the more I use it. Was charged to 100% the other morning, just sitting on my desk no use, dropped to below 60% by noon. Contacted seller , who suggested draining it completely then recharge. Will give it a few more tries, and return if it doesn't improve.
Popped my Anker back in yesterday, thing works like a boss.
