will there be a gingerbread OTA update or is anyone working or a rooted version?
We either have to wait for a GB leak or an official update.
We can't work on a GingerBread project now without a GB kernel leak or some sort of GB source to work on , for now go flash GingerClone V1 by AyoTeddy it has Touchwiz 4.0 & gingerbread icon . You can switch to a gingerbread launcher tho but use that for now .

Hi i am such a big fan of nexus s n android n i heard that nexus s will be getting an ics update. the big question is..should i download manualy the ics update when it comes out n download cm7 for ics(if available in future) or i should just stick to ics without any other roms like cyanmod.
My nexus s is rooted n is curently running cm7
Thanks alot guys!!!!
There will be a rooted ics rom very shortly after the source is released... then cm9 or 8 shortly after that.

I've got a two-day old Nexus S and I'm loving it. I've already had NSCollab and the ICS ROM on it and I loved the ICS feel but it isn't stable enough for my daily use right now. Can anyone suggest a CM-based ROM that has support for the Theme Chooser so I can put an ICS theme over Gingerbread? (Alternately, can I install the Theme Chooser on my current NexusMV ROM?)
Look for the deck 1.3 rom. It supports theme chooser and its based of gingerbead 2.3.7. I've been using it for the past few weeks and its awesome.

Looks like deck is for the NS4G and I've got the Tmobile version. Sorry I didn't mention that.

I've been running the Ultimate Crespo 2.0 for a few days now. It's based off CM 7 and incorporates theme chooser.
Been very stable and fast so far.
Here is what I am wondering is it possible for a flashed phone with the MikMik rom on it to be flashed to 2.3 gingerbread. I recently purchased this phone with MikMik on it and want to go to 2.3 Gingerbread. Any help would be appreciated.
What version of the rom are you running? The current versions (MikShifted-G at least) are a GB rom (2.3.3)
Yeah mostly all our roms are Gingerbread base. If you look at the software information under settings it will tell you what Android version you are on

You can run the RUU to go back to stock gingerbread but you will lose all root access or there are stock gingerbread roms with root access on the second or third page of the development section. I would link you to it but I'm on my phone

Wondering if I update my wife's G2X baseband to the latest, will I still be able to use a 2.2 Froyo Rom and not have any problems?
(this would be if my wife doesn't fully like a Gingerbread Rom with the modded LG camera and would want to go back to to a Froyo Rom where the camera is fully working).

Yes, you can update to new baseband using LG Updater or OTA update then install CWM and downgrade rom back to Froyo with no problems and improved wifi and gps performance.
Thanks so much.

Hi,
Couldn't find a thread for my issue, so creating a new one.
I installed Anim Mod for custom animations on my rooted Samsung Galaxy SL with Gingerbread 2.3.6, but it isn't working. It says Failed to apply animations. Do anybody have idea about this? Does this app work on GB 2.3.6?
I'm using Go Launcher Ex.
Please help.
You have to be deodexed ..
