I just recently installed CM7 and noticed that the app drawer can be both vertical and horizontal. But not the usual waterfall effect that stock has. Does anyone know how to make it the stock waterfall effect?
I believe that is the stock gingerbread launcher.. look in market for gingerbread launcher, or search the forums, its around.. cm uses adw launcher.. Idk if the stock launcher is even included.

I tried every gingerbread launcher and adw theme and none of them have a 3d drawer. LauncherPro has one but i want a launcher just like the nexus s'. Thank you anyway.
Here try the stock launcher from the gingerbread leak, this is from Xboarders Mod cm7/stock remix v1.2.0 Gingerbread 2.3.4 ROM. I pulled it from my /system/app/ for you. Hope this is what your looking for.

If you're talking about the 3d cube app menu, then just get Launcher Pro. It has the option to enable that.
As mrinehart93 said, just get LauncherPro. It's currently based off the stock launcher but has additional customization options.
I don't want launcher pro I mean the actual launcher2 apk for froyo. I don't need the 3d cube.

+1 That is why I quit using ADW a long time ago. Since I paid for LPP, I'd be a fool NOT to use it.
JUst curious if there is a way to get sense on top of CM7? Sorry if this seems lame, but i am not programmer, and it is just a question. I would assume that a rom would have to be built based off of cm7 stable with sense added, is that correct?>
Don't think so, or we would have seen something already.
If you go to android general forum, there are themes for the CM7 theme chooser that mimic some of the elements of sense, without the widget, as well as custom launcher pro home replacements that do the same thing.
If your after the Widgets, try launcher pro plus, those are the closest Widgets I've found to resemble sense Widgets.
There is a adw sense theme in the market. That's the closest you'll get.
Can do a Sense launcher.apk over CM7. Lol have not posted anything so will not let me put link.. just google sense launcher apk it will come up.

looked it up and its just an adw launcher theme. To answer the OP question no this isn't possible because well HTC Sense Ui isn't open source so we can't put it on an aosp rom ourselves. The closest you will get for htc sense and cm7 is skyraider i think because it has something very similar to cyanogenmod settings and the new skyraider 4 will be 2.0 so it will have all the z rom features or you could wait for a gingersene port which isn't looking very possible atm.

I know theres so many launchers I just have a tough time choosing.
SPB Shell, Regina Launcher, Go Launcher, ADW, LaucherPro
Launcher7, Zeam, and Gingerbread launcher are good as well. It all comes down to personal preference.

Zeam launcher. Best launcher I've used (I've tried stock, Launcher Pro and ADW). Love the fact that after using task killer I have 88M memory available (before I used to get over 100M sometimes - Using Cya-no-Gen Ver 1.2)
Its light, fast, and clean. What more could you want?

After trying alot of launchers i.m.o it's Go Launcher but what you should do is try them as only you will find what suits your needs...
This is very subjective. I suggest trying a few and seeing what you like. I prefer ADW, but there are many good ones. Is there something specific you are looking for feature-wise?

I used to love ADW when I was using my HTC magic. Now on the Arc, I've tried ADW and Go launcher. Go was cool, but a little laggy. I then went back to stock, but it was boring. So I'm now trying Zeam and looking so far. Very smooth, simple, light weight. However I get bored easily and may change next week!

I'm a huge fan of LauncherPro (Plus). It runs very smoothly on my LG Optimus 2X and it also used to run smoothly on my Motorola Milestone.
GO Launcher EX is also a good launcher, but I like LauncherPro's widgets more.
I have tried most if not all launchers there is and I allways end up with the UD launcher from Blackdroid. Simply scrumptious...

Simplest solution: Get a different launcher from market, like Launcher Pro or Zeam, or anything that suits u.

I'm guessing you're talking about TouchWiz 3.0 as in "regular launcher"? If so, then no, it's not possible to my knowledge.

gtg could do it. it was done in a number of versions for the i9000 and captivate. I don't really like it as much visually. but you may be able to use the i9000 version if you need the Samsung widgets and kies to work but I'm not sure. hdmi will not work. remember that if you have a gingerbread Samsung rom to find a gingerbread tw3 launcher and a froyo launcher for a froyo rom.
if you don't use the Samsung widgets then there is nothing wrong with zeam, lp, go launcher, adw, or others...
You can use ADW launcher also, here is my 5 icon dock...

so far we have qq, adw, launcherpro, versions of tw3 launcher for the i9000, tw4.5 launcher (tw4 specially modified for use on all phones) zeam, go launcher and the sony xperia arc launcher, are we missing any?

TouchWiz 4.5 works really good on GingerBread.
easy to install too with thier app. just install another launcher to have as a back up.
There's also the Regina Launcher. I like the Go Launcher EX the most.

Well there is Launcher2 like you said along with qHD Launcher, but you could always use a REALLY good launcher off the market. Such as ADW.Launcher/ADW.Launcher EX, which I highly recommend! I have used ADW EX since it came out. But just recently I switched to the new ICS Launcher (a launcher based off the Ice Cream Sandwich leak pics) and it runs VERY smooth and I REALLY like it. It actually is a really nice launcher. But GoLauncher is also another very good launcher, along with LauncherPro, or Zeam Launcher!

I've found LauncherPro Plus to do everything that I need. 5x5 homescreens, ability to resize widgets, ability to customize the dock the way you want it.
I tried ADW and didn't like how it lagged. All my friends use Go Launcher EX. Try them and see which one works best for you.
