LG E900 Nodo unlocked from register system procedure.
I installed custom ring tones.
How do I remove custom ringtones without resetting procedure ?
P.S. : sorry for my bad English. Giuseppe.
as far as I know, the old ringtone can be overwritten by the new one with same name.
You would have to use a file browser like TouchXplorer to go into your phone and manually delete the ringtones from the My Ringtones folder.
Hi,
Touchxplorer on my LG E900 does not work. Only shows the folder MyDocuments without content... not subfolder and not files.....

didnt found it in the forums about that - mhh what about a known bugs/issues wikisite for Roms?
I cant save another Ringtone on my Smart V2 WM6 Rom - its always back on the "default" Ring-WindowsMobile.
I tried another default, like Ring-Vision, but the setting isnt saved.
TIA

save the ring tone in mmc/sd.
so I have to move them from the default location (where they are after flashing the smart v2 rom) to mmc/sd? where is that path exactly?

Try copying the ringtones in Root /My Ringtones folder. That should work
or \windows\rings

Did you install other audioplayer (gsplayer, Resco etc)? If you did, try associating mp3/mid/wav back to Window media player.

I've done this and they don't show up in my settings. Is there anything else I need to do? If I go to the files in file manager they all say unsupported file type when I attempt to play them. Both the ogg and mp3 files.

Hello everyone, I am going to show you a neat thing for me and hopefully for you too. As a result, you will get the same lock sound you hear in the ending of the video.
Step by step:
1. Download the files from HERE
2. Extract the files and copy them
3. Go to /system/media/ui and rename your Lock.ogg and Unlock.ogg to Lockk.ogg and Unlockk.ogg (just to have a backup I'm adding an extra k at the end)
4. Paste the files you copied before into the same directory
5. Set both their permissions accordingly (all can read and only owner can write)
6.Go to system settings/sound/sound effects and enable Screen lock sound
7. Reboot and enjoy!
P.S. If you are using Swipe method to unlock you need to rename those files to their correspondence in the system/media/ui folder. You can easily spot them by their name. In order to work, you need to rename the files you downloaded as the ones that orginally in there(dont forget to back them up).

Which lock setting does this work on? It didn't work with knock code or no lock. I switched back to stock one and I'm getting no lock screen noise period. No matter what I choose.

I'm using knock code and its working m8. But probably its not going to work on no lock type. Be sure to reboot after you made those changes.
Edit.
With your situation, I checked all locking types and the result is:
If you copied unlock and lock .oggs and change their permission , all of them should work except no lock, swipe effects other than basic and pattern effects other than basic. In order to change these sounds you just need to find the matching ones. Listen what you are using at the moment then go to system/media/ui and find the exact one then copy my files over and rename. If you have questions please ask.
The unlock / lock sound on most of custom roms is pretty much basic (same with miui).
So if you want to change it here is the process
(Disclaimer : I have tested this on my device, I take no responsibility if u damage ur phone by following this method. U r on ur own)
First, download the sound/tune that u want to set as lock/unlock sound, for example:-
1) door open / close sound
2) nubia red magic 3's unlock sound
3) page turning sound etc.
Now, using root browser go to below directory:-
/system/media/audio/ui
Click to collapse
in this folder find "lock.ogg" and "unlock.ogg"
backup and delete the stock sound, (in case, u can restore later)
copy the tune u downloaded earlier and paste it in the folder and rename it to "lock.ogg" or "unlock.ogg" or u can already rename the tune and then paste it.
Finally...Restart!!
Voilla!
I have set car lock sound as lock/unlock (both) tunes.
Enjoy, hit the thanks if it helps.:silly:

do you have the lock unlock sounds from poco's miui 9? i found the sounds but they weren't from poco, i didn't like their sounds. i have the miui 9 twrp zip but i cant extract system.new.dat.br
Hello Folks,
can anyone with a rooted pixel 7, let me know, where are the default ringtones folder located in the system root file, I need to extract some ringtones, i did search them on google, but they are of very bad quality.
Normally they are lcoated on /system/media/audio/ringtones, but I don;t thing there is any media folder
Thanks
I have not checked since I'm not on stock ROM, but you can try extracting the Google Sounds apk, which is just a zip file.
Edit: They're not in there, but it seems they may be downloaded by the app itself, as Google sounds at times add new ringtones.

Yeah, you can get them out of the factory image by opening product.img in 7zip.
