CI510_VZW_EG2_ALL_ONE-LTE-CP_REV03_user_CL199635.tar.md5
CI510_VZW_EP1F_ALL_ONE-LTE-CP_REV3_user_CL300919_Rooted_Debloated.tar.md5
gb_ep1f_bloated.tar.md5
tried installing these with battery on while using odin and battery off.... no luck

yes, didnt work
i followed the following post
http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?481-LEAK-STOCK-ED2-Droid-Charge-FULL-ODIN!
Same thing is happening to me. Happened after the OTA EE4 update. Had signal just fine on ED1 before the update. Phone is wiped and bone stock right now, baseband unknown after the update, so I'm taking it to the Verizon store.
Here's something to try. (I didn't use PST since I'm only really familar with ODIN and it seemed to work for me).
1) ensure you are using ODIN 1.82. I was using ODIN 1.3 earlier and it seemed to have some issues. :-/
2) using the original ED1 tar file from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1087342 download and extract the .md5 file
3) Connect your phone, place in download mode and run ODIN 1.82, under "PDA"
select the .md5 file you downloaded and extracted.
4) Remove SIM card as the directions in the above link state (I dunno if required)... but put your battery back in. I think this is REQUIRED when flashing lte_modem.bin part or the files.
5) flash with ODIN and restart once completed.
This reset my phone back to ED1 completely, including writing ED1 modems, which... prior, had been stuck on the EP1F leaked versions. :-(
I suspect it will do the same for your lack of baseband, too.

This stuff is not for the faint of heart !! Bricking a $300.00 phone is stressfull !!
Okay ... after much trial and error, this is what I did and I have what looks to me to be a stock rooted EE4. I am sure it is not stock as I used imnuts' debloated tar but that's fine, it is working and not trying to send me an update.
Okay, regardless of what I went thru to get to this point, these are the steps I took to have the phone updated to EE4 and rooted.
via Odin 3 I rolled the phone back to ED1 using the [ODIN] Stock Rooted ED1 (downgrade from ED2) [2011.05.18] file found in the Dev forum.
The phone re-booted and was again a stock rooted ED1 and it was trying to push me the EE4 update. I DID NOT update the phone OTA.
I immediately took the battery back out and went back into Odin and flashed imnuts' debloated ee4 file found at [ROM][06-10-2011] EE4 Debloated V4.2.1 in the dev forum.
When re-booting after this flash, the Samsung logo stayed on the screen for what must have been a good 8+ minutes. There was a sexy female voice that would occasionally talk to me and soothe my nerves during this process. The phone rebooted !!
After flashing I rebooted and the phone was trying to push the ee4 update to me. I went into 'about phone' and checked and what it showed was
Baseband Version
i510.06.V.EE4
SCH-I510.EE1
Build number
SCH-I510.ED1
I then went into the build.prop editor using SGS Tools and changed all instances of ED1 to EE4. I believe there are 5 of them to change.
After saving the changes I rebooted the phone. Upon re-start, I went back in and checked the build number and it is
SCH-I510.EE4
The phone is not attempting to send any system updates and it IS rooted.
I then went into it with Titanium and deleted a lot of the useless pre-installed apps.
So far so good. It looks to me like it's where I wanted it.
Dude, that's complicated. But if it works, then it works. Cant complain against that, huh?
Here is what I did.
Flash back to stock ED1 rooted. Take the OTA update, flash droidxcon's ee4 package 3, flash kejar's sdcard fix, flash imnuts debloated v4.2.1, and boom. You're rooted EE4 with EE4 basebands.
After that, I flashed Gummy.
LOL... I think it's actually less complicated than I am wordy !!!
Rollback to ED1
Flash imnuts debloated EE4
Edit build.prop
That's all there really was to it.
That gives EE4 Basebands and EE4 Build
The rest of the book was just me explaining the process I took in checking everything.
But like ya said, it's the end result that matters !!
Hey guys, I just came from Humble 2.2. I decided to switch back to Humble 1.35 Froyo because of its better battery life & kernel (plus voodoo!). As you know, 2.2 includes the EP1F update. So, I followed danalo's instructions for how to downgrade to ED1 and upgrade to EE4 again. Then, I flashed Humble 1.35 with Odin3 v1.7. It passed, but when I try to boot, it just hangs at the Samsung logo (with no sexy robot voice)...please answer ASAP, I'm getting really nervous
If you have problems with a flash you could always just try reflashing. I've never bootlooped my phone so I can't help you through experience but a lot of the time a simple reflash fixes these problems.
I have boot looped my old evo. It was fixed each time by clearing the caches/factory reset and reflashing the rom.

Can't get into CWR, and I've already tried reflashing.
Well, I got it working back on this stock Odin package http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116867 and when I reflashed 1.35 it did the same thing. Redownloading Humble now, see if that fixes anything.
Edit: Okay, I'm definitely not going insane. It's doing the same thing. What gives?
if its converting to EXT4 it can take up to 5-8 minutes..especially if you cleared cache and dalvik..even if there is no voice I would wait at least that long before you panic.........
I don't think the 1.35 Odin package flashes absolutely everything required to run, as if you're expected to be rooted, cwm etc already before flashing. So i propose flashing the 3rd Odin package in the link above, and then flashing to 1.35. Don't have any time to test this, will do it in the morning

same here. I had to flash 1.2 though odin, which gives you everything (root, kernel & rom) and then install 1.35 zip from cwm.

+1. This is what you have to do. I had to do the exact same thing last night.
make sure you are using odin 1.7 or higher to flash also
I had that happen once when I flashed a friend's Charge and flashing this package over top fixed it.

Strange issue, phone I have has been rooted and different ROMS installed since Froyo to GB many times without issues. Weird thing, up to the day I switched to iphone it was working. Decided to sell this phone and a week later wanted to get in to do factory reset, phone won't boot - all it does is Samsung logo flashes on and off forever. I've tried two different batteries, tried to enter recovery mode, won't work. I tried ODIN on two different ROMS also, including PIT option with PIT file, etc. Still phone won't boot.
What else to try? I don't understand why it won't work. Each ROM I tried, passed in ODIN with no errors.
use Samsung PST and the EP4P stock VZW file with the pit. You can find instructions laying around, and the file you're looking for is something like VZW_EP4P_bloated.tar or something

You could also try and re download the files maybe they got corrupt somehow. If you cant find the EP4P file you could do a EE4 or even ED2 and it would update from there.

Hi there. I have read quite a few tutorials on rooting my phone. I did have it rooted at one point using odin and a package for cwm. It worked great. I wanted to try out one of the 4.* ICS roms, that worked fine.. sorted that out no problem but there was no gps so I wanted to go back to my rooted 2.3.6.
Went to put it back to standard with stock firmware, that also worked fine. The problem I have now is when I attempt to root using the same files, same settings and same utilities as before, It boots up to the samsung galaxy logo, then reboots and shows the logo again and again in an infinite loop.
I have cleared the user data and cache, and the root appears to work as the recovery program installs correctly, but it will not boot the OS.
When i flashed to stock I used odin.. the 512 pit file, the stock pda, phone and csc files. and that works perfectly but not when I root it!
Any ideas??
****UPDATE
I flashed with stock 2.3.5 firmware so that I could use samsung kies to flash my phone back to 2.3.6 so that it was 100% stock and kies now says that my device does not support firmware upgrades!!!
Seems as nobody can be arsed to answer my question I have researched and answered it myself...
If anybody has the same problem of Kies saying "Your device does not support firmware upgrades" all you have to do is go into the "About phone" section of the settings.. find the baseband version of your phone.. Mine was I9000XXJVT... find the lowest version of android on samfirmwares.com , mine was 2.3.4, install it..
then kies recognizes your phone again and will upgrade it to the latest version..
Oh by the way THANKS FOR YOUR HELP lol
This particular phone for record purposes upgraded to:
PDA:JW4 / PHONE:JW4 / CSC:JW5 (CPW) which im guessing is carphone warehouse..
I tried the samfirmware.com version of the latest CPW firmware they have and kies still said it would not update the firmware
and before all you geeks get on your high horse and say why didnt u do this and why didnt you do that..
I couldn't root my firmware after installing the CPW firmware as mentioned above from samfirmwares.com.. i was in an infinite reboot loop. I could load standard firmware from samfirmwares.com and it would boot fine, but I couldn't root it from that.
My aim was to get it back to standard and go from there.
One question.. pretty obvious really... I have searched high and low and still am yet unable to find a sofrware for BACKING UP my original firmware... this would be a pretty sensible idea??? yes???
Hi there.
I´m on a 6210. Was on 4.0.4 rooted.
Still wanted to update to 4.1.2. using odin for flashing stock 4.1.2.
Got stock
I have download mode available and running windows 7 on the other side.
Have tryied to flash but it fails and now I´m between "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen or "odin download" screen.
The tablet seems to comunicate with pc but fails every time.
Even tryied to flash cwm to try to wipe but odin wont let me.
using odin 3 1.85 and also odin3 3.04 that worked for rooting and flashing my S4 a few weeks ago.
Any ideas? Currently I´m downloading a stock 4.0.4. to try to flash back to it.
Ah, I also looked up and downloaded a PIT table for the 6210 and tryied a few more times with it.

Update:
:fingers-crossed:
I changed the data cable (have one long and one short non stock cables) from the long one to the short one... Now it seems to be flashing with odin... so anybody with a similar issue, try for a better communication between pc and tablet..
I´ll update on a sec if I´m successfull.
