I have made a G+ Account called "XDA Circle". If we can get all XDA members to search and add that account to a circle. It would more or less create a global group. I'm thinking it would be an easy way to keep our own XDA circles up-to-date. Simply search for the "XDA Circle" profile, dbl-click into it to view who has circled the "XDA Circle" account. Then you can easily find XDA Members that you have not added yet.
I have no plans to use or make posts from that profile. In theory, it should grow on its own as more XDA members get online with Google+.

This is a great idea. I see what you mean that it would allow us (the XDA community) to to stay in touch on a closer level then we can now.
To bad though a lot of us including myself will just have to wait intill google+ launches because we werent blessed with an invite :'( lol.

I don't know how many of you browse the XDA Portal (the XDA Developers homepage) but they always have the newest and coolest things featured from teh forums there. I found this one submission and I thought I'd post it here to help him gain some more momentum. If anyone knows a Dev with some spare time or the know-how to get this project rolling, refer them to this thread here!

i was wondering how you invite people, as i was invited and have the website up and running and my phone connected, but cant invite from my phone that i can find and invites from site are disabled for me.
I think they fixed the exploit. I really just started this thread for people that already have g+.

while your intentions are good. I would advise against posting your email online. You are only asking for spam. And there have been a couple of XDA threads closed over posting e-mails on here. I am not a mod, nor a admin. Just trying to keep a good idea from going to the weigh side. PMs are there for a reason.

I had my name unsearchable, didn't know that was affecting being able to be found in Google+. I thought the setting was for Google Search. My name should be in there now.

I have 5 people in my Glacier circle, seems like this turned more into an ask for a Google+ invite thread, even though invites are closed. Really I would have like to have seen everyone that is in Google+ to post there username or e-mail so we can all add each other to our Glacier circles.

Also how does the easy invites work. Let me know so I can invite my friends. I have tried the post method and when they click on the links in the e-mail it just goes to a 404.
I just added a few of you to my Glacier circle, name is elias adrian. I haven't messed with this too much, but there's no way to have a public circle is there? It's just all of us have our own glacier circles, right?

That's what it looks like to me. Would be nice to have a public circle of some sort. But as far as I know we have to add each other into our own private "Glacier" circles.

Today I found a way to see anyone's profile as if they are your friend using the Facebook app for android.
Find a post they have commented on.
Tap on their profile pic in the comments
As their profile is loading quickly select the photos tab.
Now you can see their photos.. if you wait too long the page will load and you will be stuck on the basic profile info with the choice to add them as a friend.
Random and pointless but I found it interesting none the less

It works on the latest version. Click someone's name and IMMEDIATELY click on Photos. It'll begin loading their Photo Albums lol
Found out it doesn't work if they have their photos blocked to certain people. Most people sent that smart though.

I can't always respond to PM, and that really isn't a desirable method... reporting posts lets every mod know, PM's... well obviously that only notifies the one mod you PM'd.
I get enough PM's asking for help, my point is I don't want PM's on move this thread or that thread too .
Edit - crap indeed. Tapatalk does not have a way to report posts... but you can easily use Tapatalk to open a browser and report the post. I know, extra step... but it would be appreciated over a PM. Thanks guys (and gals )!

To report a post in Tapatalk (which I believe includes the XDA Premium app) do a long press and pick More, then Report, and fill out the report.

I don't have this option in the XDA app either, which AFAIK is just Tapatalk specialized for XDA... There's no "more" when I long press on a post. I get "Quote, Reply, Edit, View Author's Profile".
I think the only reason I have an edit option is I'm a mod .

I have tapatalk and use it more and more to browse XDA, I bounce back and forth between it and the XDA premium app, depending on if i'm browsing other forums as well or not.
I can confirm that a long press on a post pulls up a menu with a more option, and report is one of those more options in tapatalk.
Having to rely increasingly on my mobile device to browse here because working overtime for a bricklayer is kicking my ass, I can really appreciate the work done by you and other mods to keep the development section clean.
I don't get much time to swing through here right now, and what little I do get has me exhausted and worn out. Sifting through a ton of non-development bs to find the threads i'm trying to contribute to can use up a significant amount of the time I have to give.
Imagine how much more we'd all get done if developers didn't have to waste time - taking them from whatever projects they were working on - to notify mods about off topic clutter in the dev section. Then, of course, that mod is probably also developing something, or trying to help someone, so they have to walk away from their project or leave someone hanging to play housekeeper moving threads around.
Not all of us have a lot of time here, or have a job that puts us around a terminal with internet access. More people can contribute to development if that section is kept on focus.
So thank you, to the mods and others who keep things running right.
