[Q] Old Desire Z/G2 battery fit? - HTC Desire S

Hey guys,
I currently have the Desire Z aka the G2. I bought a Mugen 1800mAh battery for it which works great.
Problem is, I'm really keen to move onto the Desire S and was wondering if the Mugen battery I bought for the Desire Z would fit the Desire S.
Just need to know so I can decide to sell my Z with the bonus battery or keep it for the S. Not keen on forking put another $50.
Cheers for reading.

Check the Mugen website and if the sell a battery for the S and a different one for the Z you have your answer.

Answer: http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...nded-battery-for-htc-desirez-t-mobile-g2.html

I've compared the two side by side and they are indeed exactly the same.

Don't risk with cheap batteries, just buy the original one. That way you'll know that the printed mAh are true and it won't damage your phone

Will HTC release some new HQ or HD(Density) battery one day? as everyone knows it's quite and issue with the DHD.

Sensation or DHD????

Ok I just got the Sensation and already own a DHD I am torn as to which one to keep. I love the Sensation but noticed the battery gets very hot compared to the DHD . I have read the forum and there is no solution to the hot battery yet.. So now I am torn between keeping the Sensation or the DHD. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
The sensation is dual core. Every dual core device gets a little bit warmer then single core devices.
If your hands are to soft to deal with it, change it back. ;-)
Btw. under normal use my sensation doesn't get really hot?!

I was playing a game on it when I noticed it. Did you get a different battery for yours? How do you like it so far?
In games that's a absolute normal behavior.
I ordered the chichitec 1900mah but it's not there yet.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk
Yes games will make it much hotter than under normal use because of the fact that they use much more power. As for battery life it is worse than most single core phone because of the fact that you have more to power. The ability to flash custom roms to the device will enable much more optimized roms. This will "hopefully" make batteries drain slower. Also if you look in the accessories section you will see a lot of suggestions on different batteries.

I had a Desire HD since release date and it was a great phone (best i've ever had) but then i won a Sensation from HTC Australia, so i thought i might as well use the newer phone and sell the DHD (which i've gotta do soon).
After using my Sensation for about 2 weeks , i'd have to say it is definitely a better phone. It's faster, has a brighter (& higher res) screen, the batter has been lasting longer and feels better in my hands. Although the DHD is still an awesome phone with heaps of great feature.
If i was you i'd keep the Sensation and sell the DHD. Unless you need the extra money then sell the Sensation & keep your DHD

Thanks I will take a read through.
The Desire HD is still a capable and modern phone. If you have any issues with the Sensation then I would say return it. You can always get it again later on (or get any other, newer phone to come out in that time). You might even be able to score a better price if you purchase it later. So, again, if you have an issue with the Sensation now, then return it and buy it again later, especially when development matures a bit.
If you can't return your Sensation and have to sell it as used instead, then I say just keep the Sensation.

Thanks the sensation is actually brand new just got it unlocked and played a game on it to check the battery heating issue issue I was reading on it.
Get the Anker 1900 mAh battery for sensation from ebay for $10 and it doesn't get hot like the htc battery.
Ok I've just realize watch way to much sci fi..... Looking at the thread title all I could think of was Sensation or Dial Home Device lol (Stargate reference).
Time for a break

Due to the fact that the Sensation is rootet there is no question. Generally it is better than the DHD apart from the "heat".
So you have a newer faster phone

Other phones with same battery type as G2/Vision

Hi Everyone, I am thinking of getting a new battery & remember reading about aftermarket batteries that worked on the G2/Vision but was for a different phone(s), & you had to remove the wrapping.
Can someone remind me of the phone models that have the same shape battery that would work in the G2?
Thanks

[SUGGEST] Buying my first Android!

Hello everybody,
I will buying my first android very soon and my budget is of INR 25,000 = 451.811 USD = 358.611 EUR
The prices are to be considered for unlocked devices.
Requirements:-
I would prefer ICS on it. It won't matter wether it comes preloaded or an update would be available afterwards.
It should have a front facing camera as now it is a requirement for me.
If possible suggest dual core smartphones.
The back camera should be minimum of 5 Mega-pixel with flash.
I would also prefer such phones which have developer community support.
It is preferable to have phones of Sony, HTC or Samsung as I don't trust other companies much.
My List:-
Sony Xperia P
I have heard it is a good phone but it's battery life may be shorter & I have also heard that due to the new white pixel techonlogy of Sony battery life is not a big problem as it consumes less power.
HTC Sensation
It is great phone but it was released last year and I have heard so may issues relating to it such as Death grip, unresponsive touch screen, poor battery life, improper viewing angles.
Suggestions are welcome but please see to it that it meets my list of requirements.

Sorry mate.
Post updated. Actually I use currency converter plugin that caused the problem while posting.
If that's the Indian rupee, $448 can get you a SGS3 if only it were available in India.. there's always buying it somewhere online and having it shipped to your country as an option.
If not, there's the Galaxy Nexus that I would recommend second.
I'd never recommend an HTC, due to in part that sense is nonsense. What's the point of going to a dev community with a sense phone if the #1 motif will be REMOVING Sense? Lol. I'd avoid HTC altogether. The beats by dre sound is a joke, just overpowered bass. Get Samsung, then combine it with voodoo sound.
Don't make the mistake of getting an SGSII though.

What about the HTC One like was suggested? From everything I've read it looks amazing (great screen, great camera). Then again, idk of that falls into the price range either.

You mean One S? In India it's available for above 25K and one V don't have secondary cam which is a requirement for me.

Its a cheap knock off battery that will most likely only be rated at stock mah for the sensation. I would get a anker which is like $12-20 and last a long time and fits perfectly in the sensation

Either get something like the Anker 1900 mAh, a Sensation XE, Evo 3D, or Amaze 4G battery. They are all around 1730 mAh.
I will be very worried to use cheap battery and cheap batteries have short life too
Can't beat the Anker for the money...I don't even need a car charger anymore.
