Official extended batterys?

I've seen a bunch of battery on eBay. But I'm worried since their mostly from China. Does anyone have experience with one of these or know of an official desire or inspire battery?

I haven't seen one yet. Those cheap batteries often are no where near the capacity they claim so steer clear for now

I bought one from eBay for $4.89. It claims to be 1600 mah. So far it hasn't given me a problem but the battery life seems to be about the same than the official one.

I have been looking for a longer lasting battery as well. My battery only lasts about 8hrs if I use it alot.

why pay so much for battery? i got charger at home, car, work. less then $15.

There are quite a few other 1600mAh Desire HD batteries on eBay, mostly in Hong Kong, one in Canada, for significantly less than the $103 price. That's just an insane amount of money to pay for a battery. Personally I'm happy to find one that performs as well as the stock battery and pair it with a plug-in charger so I can swap mid-day if needed. It would be killer to find a battery charger for the car too.

Why not just plug the phone in while in the car? The adapters/cables are only a few bucks.

Well the reason people buy extended batteries are because they're away from some type of charger, or don't want to hassle with a charger all day. I am one who wants to get the maximum possible out of a device, without compromising on reprogramming things to conserve battery. I'd LOVE to see a 1600 mah battery that got good reviews, but thus far everyone says since they're made with cheap chinese cells, it's really a 1200 mah battery labeled 1600.

I do plug the phone in while in the car, but it would be nice to have a spare battery charging while on the go as well, sort of a charge it and forget it type of thing in case it's needed while out.

I'd say the same but the replacement procedure for getting the phone open is such a hassle, I'd prefer an extended length battery, lol

hey guys, i was wondering if a higher mah battery would work find in my inspire, i was thinking of getting a evo shift battery, which is 1500mah, would it work?!

This auction is back down to $4.89. A lot of the time, when a retailer is out of stock of something, they'll jack up the price of the auction, rather than having to pull/repost the auction. This way they don't have to pay the fee to have it removed/readded, but no one in their *right* mind would buy one. I've seen this a lot with Inspire accessories...no one can keep anything in stock.

I bought the ext. battery a few months ago, but just started using it regularly last week. Witht he Seidio ext. cover and case, the phone is a brick, but I love it. Ext battery lasts me easily all day with heavy use.

the thunderbolt is a bust.. It needs to look like a freaking brick and to feel like one in order to function like it should out of the box.
It would be nicer if it didn't have the hype going in.. this phone is really all hype, as there are many phones already better then this phone in a short time span, without nearly half as much hype.

hahaha, start a thread slamming the TB and go on every post to complaint. think you are the noob here. i am totally happy with it, i get 10+hrs easy on a custom rom, if that was/is your complaint.
well, you could always get a different phone...and i am sure you will find faults with it.
i am happy with the dev's working on the TB and putting out amazing ROM's. think you shoudl try them out before starting up.

I agree. The extended battery works great for me. It's not as bad as some people make it seem. I for sure don't think its a "bust". Pros outweigh the cons for me.

I got the HTC extrended battery & cover from my local Verizon store about two weeks ago for ~$40 after tax due to my company discount. It is so nice not to have to worry about how much I surf the net, text or talk on the phone. Even after 12 hours of moderate use my battery averages ~50%, which is not too shabby.
I also bought the Seidio Active Extended case, but was not too impressed with the plastic kickstand and overall bulk. Believe it or not, I ended up using the High Gloss Silicone Cover for Extended Battery case that I purchased for ~$15 at the Verizon store. Though using the power/volume buttons was a little tough until the case was broken-in, it just feels less bulky and seems to offer better protection than the Seidio case (IMHO).

Got my extended 2 months ago and couldn't be happier. I went in the Verizon store complaining about battery life and how I can't use this phone anymore and they gave me the battery for $20 to shut me up Lol

If you don't want to get an extended battery but you want some extended time there are some good deals on batteries on amazon. I saw on there you can get 2 regular 1400 mah batteries plus a wall charger for the batteries for $20. All the reviews seemed positive too. It's really just another option, and cheaper too.

Do it. It bulky no question, but the added bulk actually makes it easier to hold. And I use the pi** out of my phone and it lasts from 6:30am until the following morning without touching a charger. I'm running chingy's 3d...but I suspect it would do that on just about on any custom ROM.

agreed, bought that deal, plus an extra battery charger for about 5 bucks so I have 2 batteries always ready to go.

What are you doing to make your battery drain so fast? I use my phone on AO5PTH3ORY with cooked in kernal and I am getting about 10 hours + when usage steady all day, on WiFi 3g/4g, email, text, internet. Try to flash a different radio if you are rooted for better signal (that worked for my cell phone standby drainage) or flash a different kernal (try dream kernel I hear great things)

I got 2 batteries off Ebay with an external wall charger for less than 10 bucks, and if you want to pay 5 bucks more you can get 3 batteries. Once I flashed to AOSP Rom I have not needed my extra batteries I have been unplugged for 7 hours with moderate use and I am still at 77%

I ordered a long life off of ebay as well for my touch pro 2, alittle leery because the price was so cheap but it is 500 mAh above my stock one, can let you know if it really extends the life of my phone when it arrives......

Guys tip they way I look at buying batteries in the same way I buy speakers example technik speakers very light jamo-d heavy speakers as in just the speaker not inc houseing- now batts Asda ones 4 pack £1.50 leak after a week or die - Duracell 4 pack overpriced but worthit lasts months no leakage notice a theme here do some research on the battery goto manufactors site check the weight if its highcapacity it should be heavier not lighter. I paid 25 for my 1900 battery based on weight and brand not buy price it ur bothered about price shop around don't just goto eBay sometimes ebays not the cheap happy hunting

New Andida Long Lasting Battery 3.7v at 1980 mAh

I was looking for a better and extended battery for my G2X, but after seeing how ugly the replacement back cover if you go with a bigger batt is, I decided not to. Couple days ago I saw that the stock battery is 1500 mAh and on Ebay I saw one made by Andida at 1980 mAh I gave it a shot..
I'm really happy with the results, it does make a big diference and I didnt have to get a new cover..
This is a great alternative...

I have been using this as well and get great results over stock.

I bought one from obostore as well, though shipping took quite a while.
It works pretty well, about equal or a bit better than the stock battery.

2-3 hrs~ more for me, running Weapon Clip. Before using this one I have 10~ hours for normal using with stock battery.

It is a low brand in china, and it looks like the MOMAX brand.
It is sold for about 4$ in china.

It may not be 1980 but I notice that it can last as long as the stock battery if not a bit longer. Thanks OP for giving me alternate option than the huge 3500mAH battery that I've been using.

I ordered 2 stock batteries for the LG Thrill 4G described as 1540mAh. Should be here by Friday. $8.00 a piece is a very price. Plus I think my stock is going bad so using this a primary and back up.

So I've had this battery for about a week now, and I'd say it performs about the same as the stock battery. (I don't have exact hour measurements though) It's nice having 2 batteries for the G2x though, since I don't have to worry about running out of power mid-day.

Finding a NEW Skyrocket battery

I'm in Canada, with Rogers and have had a SR for about 18 months. Time for a new battery mid-contract.
But Rogers doesn't sell them any more. Nor does Best Buy, Future Shop, the Source etc. There are lots of phone vendors around, but I find that they sell them at $20 - $30, and they must be used, because even after a few cycles and battery calibration, they are usually worse than my old battery. I've bought two from Pacific Mall, they were awful.
I've been told that unless Samsung sells it to you, it's a refurbished battery. Don't even know what that might be.
So with the retailers no longer stocking batteries for non-current phones, where does one get a NEW Skyrocket battery in Canada?
Also looking for a Verizon Samsung Nexus Extended Battery (2200) as per another thread here. They are gone! Nobody has them. I'm in the states but it looks like amazon.co has a bunch of market sellers who have EBL1D7IBA the main worry would be if it's really used.

I have a Nexus extended that i'd part with. Used it in my SR till it broke. Now i'm using my girls until I upgrade.. just hit me up in PM with an offer..
Have the oem battery from my SR too.. obviously used, but figured i'd throw that out there too.

I have no intentions of getting rid of my rocket, even after purchasing a new phone. Its still perfectly viable, and once I warranty my otter box a PERFECT backup device.

There's no real difference. Maybe a slight bulge if you don't trim the battery.

Cbiusa, then drive to Niagara to pick it up. I live in Toronto GTA so for me its easy.

Just got the new batt, and it does fit along with a Seidio Surface case, just. Didn't have to trim anything as long as the cover was snapped into place on the left side first.

I've found lots of batteries at Pacific Mall in Markham, Ontario

Well if you are willing to wait, i bought a couple of batteries from AliExpress.com and they have been working preetty well, both of them (i ordered different to test them out) last longer than the original...
I still use from time to time the original batt, but the honest truth is that the 2 chinese are my main batteries.

I ordered a 2500 mla(?) battery from amazon.ca for mine. Works awesome. Fits in without any mods.
