Hi all, I have one question, do any of you have a armband for the sensation that you use? I've searched around, and all I can find are genetic ones, nothing specific for this phone.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
I would love to see one of these too. I use Adidas micoach a lot and need a good armband case.
I bought this one last week. It won't let me put external link here yet (damn!), so search for "Black Sport Arm Band Case Cover For HTC Sensation 4G" on ebay.com.
I'll let you know how does it fit (or I put some pictures in here) after I receive it.
lol its looks like its for a evo/incredible intstead of sensation

Hey Rala, please post what you think of the armband once you get it, would like to know.

I got the same armband off ebay. It's well worth the cheap price tag. However, the screen is unusable while the phone is in the armband and I have to take my case off for it to fit. These aren't problems for me personally.

Hmm not good, I need a armband and also be able to use the screen, I suppose I could just use a huge rubber band strapping my phone to my arm.

Hiya,
I picked up on of these : Tune Belt AB83 Sport Armband for HTC Sensation from Mobilefun ( Can't post a link as yet sorry )
Its a little bit more expensive than the Ebay items but the phone is held perfectly and the the screen is fully usable. Its very comfortable too, I've had it on for a couple of hours when I've been out and about on my bike.
ps.. don't shoot.. although I've been a member for a couple of years and used some of the amazing ROMs and tips from this site.. this is my first noobie post !! eeeep
Doesn't look like they ship to US Anyone got any US ideas? The ones on Amazon don't seem particularly great. Best one ive had is this for my N1:
http://www.amazon.com/Tuneband-Incredible-Grantwood-Technologys-Protector/dp/B003GMHJAS
Sorry for my late response, I was few weeks out of my home, where the arm band came. Have some pictures for you. The quality is quite high (considering the low price). It fits well, except the top hole for inserting phone (the phone is kind of exposed there). Also it is possible to use touch screen over the plastic protection in the front, but it is not very comfortable. You have to press it hard.
Hi guys, I resume this old post cause I have the same "issue" (to find a good ArmBand) and I just got this phone.
As you all can see from my signature I had a Desire till yesterday and I've already been through this research. The best one I could find at the time was an ILuv ArmBand made for IPhone 3Gs which costed me around 30€..very comfortable & practical, it actually looked like the one you can see in the post above myone. On the other hand my excitment vanished away after a few jogging session: made of neoprene it was not enough "water proof" & since I REALLY sweat VERY much when going for fitness, after a month or so I had to send my beloved Desire to the HTC customer care, where they informed me they had to replace the whole motherboard due to water infiltration & charged me around 170€ for that!!!!!!
So..my question to all of you is: IF you think you sweat a lot when you go running & you found a good armband to use in your activities, did you experience any similar problem? Which armband did you choose then?

Thinking of getting this case for my G2. Has anyone tried it out. If so, how is it (snug fit, any problems opening and closing phone)? thanks.
So I decided to get the Mobi Case. I had the original T-mobile gel case, I gotta say I like this one much better. I had problems with my G2 opening really easily with the gel case and problem solved.

I thought about getting this case but I wasn't sure. Does it fit snug? For some reason I was worried about it scratching any of the soft parts. I really love the way the g2 looks naked (haha). How much was it and where did you get it from?
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 with Virtuous Sense.
I have to agree with you I also like to see my G2 bare some skin, hell that's one of the main reasons I bought this phone. The case is quite snug on the phone. I didn't have a problem with it scratching either. But after a day of use, I have noticed some scuffs on the body part of the case (from setting it down). I got it with tax, shipping and 10% off for $17.60 @ the Android Central Store.
http://store.androidandme.com/mobi-products-crystal-case/4A123A7660.htm
Cheapest i've found.
Its a decent case...more protective then it looks, I've had it for a few months now

I appreicate the feed back. I almost went with htc's version of the clear case but it doesn't cover the trackpad area like this one. I think ill go for it. I have the hard rubberized T-Mobile version which I think is awesome for the protection, and the price. (17.99 I think). Also, with any clear case there are going to have those scuffs regardless. Im still waiting on otterbox to make a case. I figured they would considering they made one for the mytouch slide Thanks though!
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 with Virtuous Sense.
I love the looks of it but... don't you lose the grippyness (if thats even a word, lol) with that case opposed to the popular OEM gel skin?
I dont feel like you lose grip at all. Waiting for my new one to come in.
Sent From My HTC Vision and XDA App
There is still some grippiness but not as much as with a rubberized case. Its still a decent amount though.
Sent from my Dethphone!!! (G2)
UPDATE: Well after about 8 months of only using this case, one of the clips that hold the case on (on the battery end) has broken off. I guess that's expected after taking it on and off who knows how many times. I gotta say, I definitely got my $17 out of this case and will probably buy another one just like it to replace this one.
Hi all,
Anyone have a good suggestion for an arm band carrying case for my G2? I found threads for other phones, but not sure what phones are a comparable size to the G2. All help is appreciated!
Seems like I can't post links because of my post count.
But I bought a Tune Belt and it works great for the G2. Search Amazon for "Tune Belt AB83".
Will check it out. I appreciate the input.

One other thought is to use something like the motorola S9 bluetooth headset. I run and bike with mine, and then I can put my phone in any old pocket or pack that is protected. It is one of the best solutions that I have found except that there are a few bugs with how the G2 handles stereo bluetooth headsets.
I have been using this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003ZYHSNK/ref=aw_cr_d_sporting-goods?qid=1300337075&sr=8-2
I have a case on the phone and it still fits. Screen reponsiveness through the plastic sucks, but I couldn't find anything better.
So I went with the generic armband from Arkon. http://www.arkon.com/sports_armband/tmobile_g2_armband.html It fits very snugly, and you have to punch a hole for the headphones, but other than that it seems to work well. The screen responsiveness sucks like others, but I think that has to do with the type of screen we have than the armband itself.
Here are a couple of lousy pics I took so you all could see:

Has anybody tried Griffin's miCoach Armband?
http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/adidas-micoach-armband
If it fits the Droid X, it should fit the G2 no? Maybe I'll see if any local stores have this arm band.
i'm actually looking to see if there is one that might fit the DZ with the otterbox case on it.... since it adds quite abit more bulk to it.
Dang running with the g2 on your arm? Why not just get a ipod nano?

When I run or walk, I always bring my phone with me just in case something should happen. Getting an iPod would mean carrying 2 devices.

I do have a S9 but when running I still need an arm band so that the phone won't keep shaking in my pocket. The problem now is it's hard to find one fit a G2 with a case.

Hey everyone,
I've been shocked to see only Google's Nexus One came with a cute android pouch while the other phones, well... didn't come with one.
My friend has a G2 and I want to get her a pouch as a small gift. I found one on eBay but not sure if the material is similar to the N1's pouch. Can anyone confirm?
LINK: (darn, I can't post links yet) (but its only ebay)
and do you think I can add stitchings to the pouch? Is there, perhaps, a site that offers android pouches as well as stitchings?
Thank you in advance
The mytouch has pouches too

I use this case from Proporta:
http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=4791&t_mode=des
I actually originally bought it for my Nokia N95, and it's such a universal size that it even fits my G2! It's made of leather and has a nice felt (or something like it) lining inside to keep the phone from scratches and stuff. I've dropped this phone and my N95 while in the case quite a few times and it's saved the phone from getting scratched or dinged. I really love the thing a lot, and it comes in nice colors too. Here's a picture of my G2 in it:

Ohh thanks for the picture!
I use the pouch that came with my old G1.
Second. Using my G1 pouch; the G2 fits perfectly (thinner, but the wider profile picks up the slack), and it's a little badge for those who've been with Android since the beginning.
I have one from my camera I'm using. I used to hide other stuff in it before but its good for the phone.

Using my G1 case too, perfect fit.
There are 2 pouches on this website: http://shop.htcpedia.com/t-mobile-g2/accessories/cases/pocket-pouches.html I like the HTC one.
I've ordered from them and they ship really fast, my package was shipped on a Tuesday from NY and got delivered here in IL on Thursday.

Sweet, you're right. Gonna wait for my knock off nexus one pouches from Hong Kong first. If they sucks, I'll grab one of these.
I use the pouch that came with my n1. the phone got stolen, but the case lives on.
I would highly recommend the official HTC Desire Z slip pouch. It's amazing, minimal, and protects the phone really well. I had an issue with the color of the rubber portion of the phone changing color from using a black case, but this HTC pouch has a light gray cloth interior (and black leather exterior) which has not compromised the phone is any way. It's perfect. $12.99 (no shipping) from Expansys-usa.com... you can probably find it other places as well.
Well, I finally got the case from Rearth the other day, and I promised to review it on here for them, so here it goes!
The feel of the case is nice, it is a Silicone Polymer, but it has a nice grip to it that helps keep the case from slipping out of your hands, but it doesn't have the "sticky" feel some Silicone cases have and which can attract dust, lint, etc. It fits on the Inspire 4G like a hand in glove, and even has a small lip around the front of the case that helps protect the face from damage, especially when the Inspire is put face down. It also came with a clear and white silicone plugs for the headset jack, to help keep dust and dirt out of it. It is a bit flimsy when not on, but once it's on your device it hugs it fine.
I got the Red Wine version, and the color is well done, not too bright but just right. The etched Rignke logo and lines of the device on the back is a nice touch, so it almost looks like you put a new back on it.
The only fault I can find with it is that it lacks a cutout for the 2nd, Noise Canceling Mic on the back of the Inspire 4G, it is located right next to the Dual LED Flash. I think they may have used the same mold as the Desire HD, which has no 2nd Mic on the back, I did cut a tiny notch so that the mic is exposed, but they need to address that on any future production runs.
Well, there it is, I know I'm not very good at reviews, but I hope that helped the company out, and helped anybody looking at buying one! Overall, I'd give it an A-, if they can fix the 2nd Mic cutout I will definitely give it an A+!
Edit-Some pics to show the 2nd Mic on the back thing I talked about-

Their version, you can see there is no cutout for the 2nd Mic on the back.
Another case I got from ACC Station, you can see they do have a cutout for the 2nd Mic on the back.

Thqnks for the review, and cringe at the first reply.

thanks for the review.
Thanks guys! Rearth got back to me, and they confirmed that they used the same mold for the Inspire 4G case as they did on the Desire HD, and that is indeed why there is no hole on the back for the 2nd mic. They said they'd fix it on future production runs.
And I'll mention this in this thread. This case killed my gps reception, just like every case does. I think there is something wrong with my phone, but at&t refuses to replace it. I'm really pissed at this point.
..
I had one just like that if not the same one, if I'm not mistaken. I didn't really care for it seems real cheap to me and its only holding on my clips on the inside. I'm hopeing to see something like an outer box of some sort for the inspire. A nice grip/design rubberized case.

I was looking for battery doors for my HTC Sensation and I came across this nice looking one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ORIGINAL-OEM-HT...I&otn=5&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=719848830771970651
I wonder if it will work the same as the one that comes with the Sensation. It looks a lot better in my opinion
looks great. can't wait til they start making some that aren't dual tone and without that ugly curve design.
1. @ $81 it's kind of spendy
2. Does not look the same as our battery covers, will antennas work fine?
3. Definitely better design then TMOUS ugly tri-colored one.
Thanks for the info
You know that's the housing AND the battery door (three pieces) right? I saw just the back cover selling on ebay for around $52.
Here is the back only
http://cgi.ebay.com/REPLACEMENT-BATTERY-COVER-HTC-SENSATION-/320715342088?pt=UK_Mobiles_Accessories_RL&hash=item4aac1fc108
It is still rather expensive, even considering how it needs to have the antennas.
I'm hoping it will come down in price once more sellers get into it. However this has helped me decide that I won't use a case for the back (was just looking for an excuse to swap backs covers)
Not bad. But yeah I'm going to wait till it get lower
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Who need case after that? If it scratches then just replace cover (they will get cheaper) which is the whole body! How cool is that!
It's awesome! But what happens if you drop the phone? I like using a case for shock absorption!
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
You definitely make a valid point BonesRed.
However in order to achieve good shock absorption the case would add more bulk than I would ever consider using. The thickest case product I use on phones are the variety of 'skins' or 'shields', and those offer almost no shock absorption value.
Also this gives me an excuse to swap the tri-colored back for one that is dual-colored, which IMO looks better and prob should have been released this way in the first place.

I love the stock back, im surprised so many hate it.
Someone should make a battery cover with a protective rubber layer already attached.
Anybody knows where to get the back cover for t-mobile with 3 antenna connectors on top part? I placed an order with waresphere and they told me they don't have it in stock and raising the price when it becomes available.
