easy saving apps - Galaxy Tab Themes and Apps

i found a new app on the market to save your apps.
it`s called "appsaver" which saved the apk`s on the
internal sd-card. you are able do bring them to the
external sd-card with copy and paste. it`s really easy.
the app is for free!

Everyone here already knows that app. What a empty post!

Not quite!
I am using Titanium Backup for this purpose and never knew something like this existed for free. Sure, my use of TB is far more complex than just extracting APKs so I won't repalce it, but I will recommend this app to some friends that wouldn't buy TB just to save apps.
Thanks michadreyer!

Im using supermanager for this. Also saves apk's

Thanks, I was looking for this!

I've used ASTRO before I encountered File Expert...
Both also does save APKs...

ES File Explorer is free and can do this too, along with a host of other features.

FRO app for xperia

Hey,
I've done some searching, and a fair amount of lurking on this forum. But i couldn't find any app that lets me connect to a ftp server to upload pictures etc.
My phone is rooted, with market access. So I can buy the app if it's worth it.
Thanks in advance.

Xda app won't let me edit the post.
topic should be FTP

You can use ES file explorer to access FTP servers and even access shared files on other LAN computers on your network since it supports Samba.
It's also a regular file explorer, but probably the best there is
To send a file you just copy it from the phone or a LAN computer and paste it on the ftp.
ES is also great to copy files to your phone through WiFi
Cool, thanks. Will try it out.

Nevermind I figured it out...

The only thing missing is grouping apps. I see you can create folders, but I havent found a way to rename the folder or even group apps together in said folder.
Is there a way?

Songs randomly duplicated themselves

Anyone know what would cause this? And what would fix it without going through 1 by 1?

Are you using a media player or something to sync music to your phone? That's the only time I've ever seen it happen.

I just installed Poweramp (again) butni dont think that would do it

Never had it happen on the 4g but it's happened once on my Skyrocket. Still don't know what the cause was. Every time I rebooted I'd have one more set of songs as well as photo's from the gallery. I ended up just reflashing, but someone over there had this as a suggestion

I think poweramp allows you to see track locations. Long press a song and check where it's located on the sd card, then long press the duplicate and check where that one is. Maybe there are just 2 copies on the sd card, if not then it's a library problem with poweramp. You can always rebuild the library.
If you were using jetplayer it could be because it builds a database and other players like poweramp does that also. If you dont have two actual copies then its because of a database creating two listings in your playlist.
another thing to try is sd maid. It should pick up the duplicates if they are there and allow you to remove them. Not sure if you can remove singly or in groups tho.

Ive got sd maid and I thought about using it actually. Would uninstalling jetAudio fix it?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
Maybe if it removes all the db files on uninstall. Is your music saved in the media folder on your sdcard or another folder? I know on older versions of froyo and gb there was a bug that if music wasnt in a folder called media then it would show up twice because media scanner would create a fake media folder and non stock players would see it and duplicate the songs.
Can we get an ETA on when you'll find a solution for this? Trollololol.

Vaulty App

So I've been looking in every file in my phone and I can't seem to find where vaulty hides the files. I saw on their website that there should be a folder that says vstdata-DONOTDELETE and I remember seeing this on my phone but now I don't see it. Maybe they changed their way of hiding the pictures and videos? Does anybody know?
Sdcard/DCIM/vault/pictures
That is were mine are stored.

Thank you sir. My SGS2 saved it in external card under DCIM. Not the internal. It's probably like that because I have AOKP.
Try this
Sdcard/DCIM/Vaulty/all images
Here there will be multiple files with extension *.vdata
Rename it to .jpg if image
And .3gp or .mp4 if video

Files or storage app built in?

Just got the maxx today and there seems to be no file manager. Am I missing something?

So install one, it's rather simple..
Astro is free from the Play Store and works just fine.
The file browser is in the quick office app. Open it and tap the browse folder and it will show SD card. All user files are in there. I don't like it, but that's where they put it.
