EDIT: First post on xda, Mods move this if it's in the wrong area
There are several users looking for this lockscreen and would love it ported to there device!
Currently I am attempting to port it over to CyanogenMod7, for the DroidX specifically.
If devs/themers have any tips or would like to take over please get ahold of me!
I need help with the .smali and .xml files
If you have any previous experience in porting across manufacturers (htc-motorala) please post things you ran into here.
Such as converting certain files, necessary modifications, etc...
Here is an .apk that may or may not be of some assistance.
Here is a thread with bugs that they are encountering durring there porting process (obviously not all the bugs will happen when moving from htc-dx but it's more to look out for)

As the title says, I'm looking for anyone who has the knowledge to help me in my attempt to port the CyanogenMod 3 way reboot menu to the D1 MIUI ROM.
There is a tutorial posted up at miui-dev.com: [PORT][MOD] Porting Evo 3 Way Reboot To Other Devices
But unfortunately, Bigrushdog's tutorial is riddled with incorrect line numbers and does a poor job of explaining what exactly needs to be edited for anyone that does not have a very high level of Android development knowledge. Also, the files posted on that thread have conflicting information from what his tutorial describes. And apparently, he won't, "Hold a noobs hand", as he himself has said in IRC when asked for help.
So I'm seeking a calm, patient and knowledgeable person to help me achieve a very complex mod.
I've posted this in this section since this mod can be preformed to any CM based ROM, I just happen to be asking for help to do so on the D1. If this is the wrong section for this, please fell free to move it to the correct section.
Thank you in advance to anyone who responds.
Hi everyone! We are currently in the middle of porting the MIUI ROM to our mdpi devices (g1, hero, magic).
We have successfully ported ALL of the pngs in all of the apks to be compatible with our devices. This was a huge undertaking and it was keeping a lot of devs from wanting to get involved. Now that this big "hinderance" is out of the way, I'm hoping some talented devs will be willing to get involved.
I have posted all the semi-ported apks (by semi-ported, I mean the images are all mdpi now) in a zip file that can be downloaded by any devs who are willing to help get the MIUI rom ported to our devices. If you'd like to download the MIUI mdpi apks, you can visit our thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858935
I don't have any dev skills, so I can't help beyond what I've already done. It is officially now in the hands of the community to take the next necessary steps to a full MIUI port. I hope that our two groups (hero and magic) can cooperate in making this happen!
That is my reason for posting here.
Hope we can get this thing working!

You will probably get a lot of help in the G1 section.
i hope devs help with this one, because my magic could use some fresh MIUI air
Awesome! I've been waiting for this a long time
Thanks! I wish I could help somehow, but I haves only some skills in graphics (http://kanttii.deviantart.com)..
is it possible to add the aplications to cyanogen mod?
Any news on the MIUI port? Really interested in this!

This was the request from alexthearmo to the devs to fully port the miui rom to mdpi devices such as the hero, magic, h1, etc. And since no one has ported it, i thought I'd post it here, where all the devs roam in hope that one of you awesome devs can actually port this to our mdpi devices. So, please, for the love of god devs please port this to our mdpi devices...... we would be GREATLY thankful...
Just so you know those apks in the link do not work. I've modified them and tried all kinds of way to get MIUI working and it doesn't. So don't use those apks.

I am curious if there are any guides or threads to create a custom rom and to make it more complicated on a Sensation 4G where they have Sense destroying the phone lol.
I am using a custom rom that I love Primeā¢ by thelegendarylegends and don't intend on leaving that though I would like to gain the skills to assist in furthering his development and just to gain the know how and experience with such processes.
As I would like to learn this I intend on also move into theme patches for the rom (which will most likely become almost universal themes) the themes would be for more then just google apps too as I want to re theme entire roms from the base.
(I understand that there is more involved then just changing png's and that .9's are able to be irritating)
Or is creating a custom rom at first based on see what you can remove while keeping the rom stable and replacing apk's with AOSP apk's again while trying to keep it stable...
Sorry as this has turned into much more then one question but any and all help is appreciated (I do know about and how to sign APK's atleast )
Hello xda,
I was wondering if I could just replace the system lockscreen apk with the lollipop (or even marshmallow) AOSP one?
Will this cause any incompatibility with the settings, or even worse?
Have some people already tried? if no I'm just going to make a nandroid backup and see if it works. And then post it here.
I ask it here because I could not find any thread about this, although quite some Google searches are being made about this.
Thanks in advance,
