CWM progress

i was just curious if krylon has made any progress with CWM for the SGS4G? the last i read was that is was working on getting it to flash from the SD. i check his twitter a couple of times a day, but i haven't seen much, and i know he has to return the phone in the next couple of days.

I assume that twitter is your best bet for updates.

I just got a reply on Twitter from Krylon. he will try to get the CWM fix by the weekend. our good friend started his new job this week..

Yeah why did you start a new thread on the same subject that was closed by a mod.
You already check his Twitter account and he updates that before he updates here so just keep an eye on his Twitter.

and the "be patient" thread was also not the same as this topic... the "be patient" thread was posted by an individual saying that he had made plans to send his device so that krylon could start to work on it.

Even though this topic isn't Titled the same. It's essentially doing the same thing. Which is to find out the progress or status of CWM. The OP already stated that he checks Krylon's Twitter daily if not more. Krylon said he won't be able to work on it till this weekend since he started a new job and all. Hopefully he'll be able to get the ROM to flash over with it. No promises are made of course and I'm not asking him to rush at all.
I know he'll be getting his G2X very soon but I hope that doesn't hinder the progress of CWM getting fixed.

wow. i didn't want this thread to get carried away like the other one. i just assumed other people on the boards talk to him outside of this forum. i dont have a twitter, but i have been viewing his twitter page to see whats up. i haven't seen much on there for the last couple of days, so i was just seeing if anybody new anything besides what we can find on the forum. i'm not asking for an ETA, I understand that theses devs do this for free / fun. i was just curious to what road blocks he might have been hitting. hell, i don't even have a sgs4g, my brother does. i've just been keeping an eye on the situation so i can crack his phone open for him once it's here, and welcome him to the world of custom rom goodness. i didn't mean any harm with the thread. if it deserves to be closed, then so be it.

People are just curious, thats all, and some people just can't hold it any longer before they create a thread. I know the thought crossed my mind a few times, but he is all we have, I can't keep asking, we are all at his mercy, so grab some popcorn and find something else to occupy your time to take your mind off of this. The more you want it, the longer you feel you are waiting for it.

Discussion about the g2x is the reason why the last topic was closed.
If people want a thread where they can vent out their anxiety for CWM,i suggest not going offtopic into discussions about other phones and the like.

I want to publicaly apologize for throwing the flames. I think we are all a little over anxious and would probably agree that this has been a little interesting to say the least. Krylon is Awesome, but I just wonder where everyone else is at. I have never seen a phone go this long mind you it's only my fourth rootable. But none the less sorry about going off

If you feel that you have the right to troll around this forum and make whatever negative posts you want, what makes you think that other people can't post about whatever (a Sense ROM, for example) they want? Hopefully you'll come to your senses at some point and realize you're wasting your own time (and the time of others) with most of your posts. I'm not saying this to counter-troll you, just to nudge you toward some self-realization.
OP, I think that's a great idea. First of all, the more ROMs available for a device the better in my opinion. Plus we can scratch one more thing off the list of features that the Sensation has and the G2X doesn't

Hey guys chill. You guys do realize that a lot of people have posted threads wanting someone to port over sense 3.0. More than likely it wont really work. People have tried porting sense over to other non-htc phones and have been able to get it to boot but a lot of things are broken like wifi, data, SMS and they haven't been able to fix it.
So yea I know suprah's post came off like he's trolling but I'm sure he's tired of threads like these. Its not really doing anything good to the g2x's development to start littering this forum with random threads about wanting something that many have posted.
So yeah everyone lets chill cuz I've notice there have been a lot of flaming going on in this forum and it really shouldn't be like this. We're all here for the same thing so there really isn't no need to be mean. Go mavs

First, I don't see where it's his place to scold anyone.
2nd if you go to his posts you'll see he does it regularly. I noticed him doing it a lot and couldn't resist. I knew I became as guilty of trolling when I did it. I couldn't resist.
3rdly I was interested in the original post.
Searching can be a total *****. I rarely find what I'm looking for when I search. I read every new post.

I'm not a Sense fan myself (I have a slight CM dependency)...but I would LOVE to see it ported. The more ROMs the better. There is really no reason everyone can't find a home with the g2x...great phone with great devs working on it.

This is not Mcdonald and fast food (you get it when you want)....There are a lot of strategy and redudencency that overlap to creat your custom ROM or Kernel. I'm tired of reading thesethreads. Google search what you a looking for and it will come to hear. Don't be Jack Ass and feel tough on forum. I was just waiting for it to come down to this. I get the feeling I'm one of the few that read every post in the threads for Incredibly Re-engineered, The Perfect Storm, and Gingeritus up until the holiday weekend began. It's not like the guy just had a bad day. It's more like for a couple months now people were getting way outta line with him about how he built his ROMs. Go over and read the thread for IR. As long ago as last year he was dealing with slugs that didn't read the OP. One of the reasons he put the wipe script in there was because of all the idiots flashing without wiping, then posting how his ROM sucked and had all kinds of issues, like it was his fault. I've flashed his ROMs onto many different phones, flawlessly, and everytime I hand the phone back to the owner they're like "Wow! This thing is FAST!" Yeah, maybe this subject is a dead horse, but it really bothers me how folks treat one another sometimes, especially when the bad attitude comes from a moron directed at someone basically giving gifts away. The mere thought of doing what these guys do makes me want to sever major arteries in my body. But, I'm sure glad they like it because I like the results! I could gripe about how the home screens are full of icons and widgets nobody would use, or the lack of some features like wireless tether in some ROMs, or the screen brightness, or the kernel he packed with it, but is there a point? No. I'm some nobody that stumbled across his work one day and thought "Gosh! This is top drawer work!" When someone puts there heart and time into something and applies the skills acquired over years, it shows. It shows in Chingy's work all the way back to Re-engineered for the EVO. I completely understand how he'd feel reading some of the posts on his threads. I would probably have done the same thing, except sooner. Sometimes I wonder why there aren't as many devs here as I'd like to see, especially for kernels, but I don't need to wonder long. I've screwed up my phone before. I've gotten pissed because it looked like some dev couldn't do anything right, but the reality is if his work was that bad, it wouldn't have been posted long enough for me to download. So I point the finger at me. Sometimes trying to get something to work just pisses me off because I'm not a dev, or even that wise to this stuff in general. Restore a nandroid and keep on having a good day. Pretty simple. It's hard to believe that's too hard for everyone to do! I feel bad for Chingy. More than a couple folks have gotten ugly with him over a long span of time. Gingeritus 1.1 is out now. I'm gonna go get that and continue enjoying how CHINGY, and ONLY CHINGY, believes a sense ROM should work.

These same "fellow" devs say the same snide remarks towards me. There is no code of honor.
That said, if you cannot stand the pressure of some dickhead users, then hang up the title belt. That goes for any dev, including myself. I mean I could get mad and retreat to my own forum because you called me a catty old lady, but I don't have that thin of skin. Sorry.
As for the virus issue, that was effing ridiculous because the dev jumped on me, and he didn't even take the time to read ahead of time and see what the deal was, and that I was dealing with accusations of kanging. QUITE the different issue.
Deving anything in the android community requires thick skin. Sure I get mad. But I have not yet picked up my ball and gone home. The day I do, it won't be for reasons that a user got butt hurt for not reading.

gtg now has to start a new thread. that post was specifically for the v2. he is doing the best he can to establish the gb rom. but people flood that post like nothing to it, thats not even a v2 thread anymore. its a troll thread

My opinion is all this wok for the infuse by these devs is on their own time. They do the best they can with what they have. People need to stop harassing them for eta's and improvements, especially when they state that they are working on it before the complaints start. Before you complain read the first post, it most likely tells all.

Agree Dave. A couple of lamers (bella incl) should not cause a dev thread to be locked. Although gtg is off fixing an issue and chose to take down the link for a bit, there are still ppl that could benefit from healty rom related conversation. Bella and a couple of other bella fanclowns have already indicated they're chomping at the bit to go to the SGS2. Good thing I am not moderating... Lol. I would have already helped them along with a ban from the infuse forums.

Agreed. I browse other threads too just to gain more knowledge, and I have never seen such users. This kind of thing is embarrassing, honestly. Honestly, they all stopped after getting a warning from the mod, but one specific user started the whole mess again by calling out Bella. So thank you to that user for ruining it for everyone.

I do agree that Neo should have and still should suspend the privelages of the habitual offenders. There are people who legitamately have problems and would like to discuss them in a respectfull manner and interact on an intelligent level. My kids and myself included!
The few bad apples ruined it for all! I feel bad for gtg and the others that work with and support him. He worked hard to make a test rom and got slapped in the face again by the people that clutter his thread with useless garbage.

I really hope they all leave for the sgs2. Either that or at least that they end up getting banned from here. I can't believe how ungrateful they are for the work that gtg and others are doing. This kind of crap never happened in the captivate forums, so I hope it dies out quickly so the devs can get back to doing what they're best at. Do not know but I have a gut feeling that when some members who have problem with gtg's rom leave this sub-forum we will see many more roms apart from much better (coming) gtg's rom

If you want to see a more harmonious section then stop the mudslinging.
Creating a thread to say how 'awful' Bella is really isn't much better than Bella's complaining.
So now we have 2 threads *****ing about Bella and neither does anything to improve the rom/phone or even discuss the rom/phone.
Let's get 300 pages of 'yeah you suck' going because that will make things better? No, it won't, and let's not.
I don't agree with the way Bella handled himself but I don't see any good coming of the folks acting like kids as a response.
Just let these threads die so we can get back to normal and telling people "Read the first post" type stuff k?

Yep. It's all my fault. Not people who say the people this board is infested with who accuse people with issues of lying and talk down to them. I really have reason to "lie" about a rom. It's all personal gain. Yep, you figured me out.

You know what? I am getting a little tired of this.
Just to test out. I ran this rom and got no and I mean NO spam messages at all. Have you run a logcat to see where it is coming from?
You accuse and have show no proof.
I will give you one warning and one warning alone. The next time you accuse someone, better have something to prove it.
