I am using co pilot live on my sensation (the new one) and it is really really buggy sometimes i get a spinning blue circle when trying to route and other times the gps will take an absolute age to fix - to get a fix as it took 20 mins with no fix i had to re start my handset ... it then connected pretty quickly
has anyone experienced these problems ?? will co pilot let me swap to the older more stable version ?
cheers
chris
I've used CoPilot live v8 and now using the new CoPilot live premium without any problems (both versions still installed) which would suggest that it's not a Coilot problem but more a problem with your phone or setup.
Sorry I can't be more helpful but perhaps this will narrow down where to troubleshoot.
Which version are you using? I'm using the v8 without any problems whatsoever.
I have Androboost Copilot Version: 8.2.0.368
It works perfectly
Its not copilot v8 but the new co pilot live where icon is black ..... It seems to have settled down

I've been having major issues with the GPS on my Inspire. I've tried multiple fixes and methods of locking on, and still nothing!
But then today, I tried using that Google Car Home app that includes GPS that you eventually have to pay for (after the trial period is over). When I used that, I was able to navigate decently, still not great, but good enough.
I've tried checking to see if there were any updates for Google Maps or the navigator, and I supposedly have the latest.
Anyone else have similar problems?
Have you tried the GPS fix created by AngelDeath?

I've also used AD's fix and my results were great. I went from 3-4 mins for a lock outside down to 3-9 secs for a lock. I flashed the North America v1.0 zip since I travel a lot for work across country. I've only tested in my home area (Chicago), but from what I've read it works great everywhere else too.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036253
Yeah I've tried that and I got the same results. The fact that the other GPS app was working fairly well leads me to believe the problem lies with Google Navigation...? It doesn't make sense why that would be messed up though. I've tried reinstalling it, I've tried stock, I've tried three different ROMs, still same results.

I think the only way would be to restore from a backup. I don't think AD has a revert.
Anyone able to install Google Earth on the sensation yet? Searched for it on market place and while it's there, once I chose it, it wont see my device and won't let me install it.
If I browse from my phone I can't even see it.
Does that mean its not supported or summit else ?
I have it on mine
Works just fine

Have you tried to open the market on your phone, then menu, settings and allow all applications? I got it and works fine... otherwise you can find it directly on the market place : https://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.earth&feature=search_result
Depends which region you are in and which market and if the regiuonal market supports that particular device/ROM. I cannot get it from the market here in Singapore on the Sensation but do have it on the Flyer.

Am I the only one who has problems with Google Earth?
I mean, using normal view is ok even with ground elevation, but if I switch on 3D buildings the app becomes slower than a snail on a turtle. Of course Sense restarts when I exit.
This sure isn't a cpu issue since this happens both with stock [email protected] and [email protected] Judging from the fact that the app itself eats up almost 100-200mb or RAM (with buldings off and on respectively) it sure is a memory issue. Anything else I could try?
At least I found an easy way to clear ram when I need it or when Sense starts restarting itself! I experienced multiple restarts a while ago, free ram was always below 80mb with nothing running. So I just opened the app, browsed around the map with buildings off, and then closed it through task manager.
I'm at 180-150mb now and it hasn't dropped since
Google earth is on play store and it works great

Hi All,
Does anyone have Copilot Premium Live working well on a Xoom? I have tried on two Xoom 3G MZ601. One was running ICS and the other a stock 3.2 image. Both had the same problem: Latitude is reported as 0.000000S, time is about 15s fast, Longitute is slightly off and altitude is reported incorrectly. It shows a lock, has 8 satelites but reads the GPS info incorrectly.
Needless to say navigation is not possible ;-)
All other GPS apps work flawlessly. I have logged this with the developers but would like to know whether this version (NOT the old Copliot!) is working for anyone on the Xoom.
Thanks
I just checked and mine (Co-Pilot Live USA) is working fine.

Thanks for your reply. Is this Copilot Live version 8.x? My problem is with Copilot Live Premium version 9.x.
Thanks
I can confirm that CoPilot Live Premium 9 works on my Xoom MZ601. I'm running ICS 3g nightly number 9.

Rom is Hypersensation 1.8. When i open Google maps( Use GPS Satellites options is checked), it always shows i'm in another province of China, which is thousand miles away from my location. How to solve the problem? I tried another map app but still the same result. Does anyone have the same problem with me? Any advice is appreciated.
Try it with wifi turned off, does it still give the wrong location?

Hi there! I updated to stock jelly bean yesterday and today i noticed that Google maps force closes after a couple of minutes. Do someone else have the same problem?

No one really knows how to fix this issue?
HI,
I've got the same problem. Well... Maps is working fine, but when I use navigation it Force Close....
I tried already to delete all the cache and data, but that didn't fix it.
Does somebody has a solution? Don't really feel like Hard reset.
Hi,
I can confirm I've got the same problem with a UK unbranded phone. I've hard reset the phone with no difference, so I presume it's a bug. I can't post external links but i've come across a similar bug on the EVO 4G LTE.
Crossman
Hard reset didn't work for me too... And yes, it's not a Google maps problem but a Navigator one...

Does 3rd party navigators work? Like navigon, sygic, route66, tomtom etc.
I just tried sygic, but that seems to work as it should be. So it looks like the problem is only with gmaps navigation.

Sygic works for me too. Waze also works. I hope the problem will be corrected with an application update from Google...

navigation keeps crashing on stock jb for me too
hi guys, +1, no problem with ics and now with jelly bean maps (when using navigation) freezes all the time. Makes me wonder how deep is the testing they do in htc before releasing software. This phone is great but it is has been a mess softwarewise since day one.
Has anyone found a fix for this yeat?
Its really annoying,
I believe the same issue exists for the One S and the SGSIII.
I just got my phone back from repair, with this issue included in the faults.
I will test tomorrow morning and report back

Still not solved. It seems something with gmaps. I saw reports about an update which solved the problem. But the latest update of January 17 didn't solve it for me

Updated to Jelly Bean over Christmas and no matter what, maps/navigation crashes all of the time. I've seen reports about this happening on other phones, but mainly HTC ones. On the product support forums, someone has delved deeper into this and suggests that it may be running out of memory (he quoted as seeing the maps consume over 114MB).
My phone is a stcok, unmessed with, HTC One S.
Update: HTC tried to reinstall the ruu from jelly bean, but because my phone didn't recognise the usb in fastboot I had to send it in for repair.
my repair sheet stated that the gps was not right and because it was already for 2 hardware repairs sent, they replaced my phone for a new one.
Advice, download the ruu from here and set your phone in fastboot and connect with pc. Run the ruu and see if the problem still exist. If so, sent it back for repair. Make sure you back up your data, because it will wipe your phone.
Succes

Not a ROM bug. This happens on my One S regardless if I'm running Sense or CyanogenMod. Lots of people at the google forums are getting this as well.

Same for me, crash on navigation mode, i flashed JB RUU, format memory, doing factory reset but the problem is already here, we must wait for an update and use other app for now, like waze !
Same Problem Maps works fine but navigation crashes all the time it looks like its a graphics problem because the voice keeps on giving directions after crashing as long as i don't press OK i use navignon so no problem
