So, now the Galaxy Tab is running 2.3.4 also.
just installed the APK ya it says no support bummer anyone modified this yet to work on more devices? I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 running Rooted Gingerbread CDMA Sprint Rom.

and I can get screen caps from sever browsers stating otherwise and a long list of people who also say it does not work so ya... feel free to post a video though showing that its working and what you did to back your instructions.

where did I call you a liar? I said that it wasnt working and that a lot of other people were having issues so to put pictures to back your instruction so we can see where some of us could be doing it wrong... sheesh talk about over reacting a tad.... for example maybe Im doing a step wrong so by adding pictures we get confirmation of what we are doing, so like this step "Open browser, change ua to linux desktop, mac desktop or IE6" could you expand on this a bit more?
okay the only ua string options I see is
Android - Doesnt work get message that I need to update Adobe Flash
Desktop - Doesnt work get the same message
iPhone - Does work but so far every tv show, movie, clip, or trailer I click say The video is not available on the iPhone
so ya if you can go over the string part and let us know which your using that would be appreciated.

Well, it does,
just takes the ability to know that you have to complete all the steps listed in any instructions for anything to work.
a correct way to say it, would have been something like:
"I tired your apk, and here is a pic of the error, ( insert pick here)
I see that your on such and such rom, does it only work for that style of rom, or did I do something wrong?"
Well something, somewhere around something like that.

Now,
open your stock browser
Press menu
Go to setings
(Some stock browsers make you got into Advanced settings to see next option, some don't)
Select user agent
If your browser doesn't offer this option, you fail a step and the logical next step is to get a browser/rom that has that option.
so then what browser are you using then and what string are you using, obviously it would make sense to post your exact settings if its working for you. if your running a custom string then alright Dolphin HD lets us use custom so again like you said providing more information helps and works both ways.

i quit using skyfire & only use the regular opera, not mini. i like the regular opera quite a bit.
I'mma download it anyways right now...but please do give a rundown.

I have installed and it's rather nice, data usage more than mini bout 2.5x on large pages, it's quick on page load, it's got a neat cube effect for history, got tabed browsing trying to get used to as it has no open in new tab, can't work out how to get to home page without closing or setting as bookmark. Oh and a mouse pointer like mimi.

yeah, the home page thing is goofy. other than that i love it. i turned off that page overview though. it was annoying me. so far it's very fast. i might use this over opera.

edit: hahah jeez..i make it sound like its manual labor to download and install....it must be monday...or im that damn lazy and unmotivated.
forgot to mention: i'm running the t-zones on t-mobile.
hmmm, other than having to get use to it and no obvious active zoom in and out buttons...i like it.
Also I'm gonna try and tweak the registry a bit...the scrollbars are WAY too thick.
can't find the registry settings...any help?
it looks like there is code available on the download page. that's not really my area though.

Yeah it was hardcore having to install that .cab, Just wanna congratulate you on your sticky that's slick.
After a bit of use i would say it's nice and free, but does not compare to Opera Mobile or Mini, i could see in the future it could with a little bit of tweaking, Home Page, Open in new tab.
Will keep it on phone and hope updates solve this.
i downloaded it but if i go on you tube press play video it states error the url does not use a recocognised protocol... i have a htc s 620

If your new, what you do is use this button called "Search" button. Every site I have registered for, and trust me - when i say every site, i mean a lot of them be it mobile, car etc. How is that I've always been able to find my way by using the "search" button but most new users will not do that. Give the search button a try and just see the results, almost everything has been gone over.

To answer your question, it's because you need to install TCPMP (A Media Player with special flash codecs) or search for vTAP for you to play youtube videos. Good Luck!

i do have tcpmp installed but it still comes up with error i did search but it came up with irelevent answers like unrecognised usb etcs

ok coming from a blackberry to Android I have to say the Facebook app sucks when ever I get a notification ,yes it appear but it doesn't notify me on a comment and when I do open it it opens in the web browser. what's up with this its just stupid, the blackberry app was much better than this it would open the Facebook app when you opened the notification. is there any plan In the pipe line to improve this or even any mods I can use to improve this? sorry for any grammar typed on my phone in under 2 mins LOL.
There are some 3rd party facebook apps. Babbler (paid and Lite) and Bloo. I haven't really tried them so I don't know how good they are.

Which app did you try? I downloaded Babbler Lite after replying and I like it much better than the official app. I haven't decided if it's worth getting the paid version yet though.

ok well I did it thru the browser I had to go to the application thru Facebook on the browser (just search babbler on Facebook) and accept it and all then go to the application on your device and accept some more and then it all worked hope this help. they really need to sort this out this is the only big downfall with this app. anyway any problems anyone just pm me
Actually, I didn't have to go through the browser at all. I think the issue is that you have to scroll all the way to the bottom on the screen that seems to be just sitting there. At the bottom you will see the allow button.

yeah you just need to wait till people begin to use android and it will begin to get the updates, i mean look at iphone apps there amazing cause that is THE thing atm, and blackberries also have a good following so the apps for that are normally ok, but as android is getting bigger and better ( imho its alredy the best) the apps will come rolling in like they did for the iphone/ipad

I remember seeing that with FROYO we could link to Google Chrome and auto transfer files from the PC to our phone wireless over WIFI. Has anyone got this to work?

yup, you need to install the app on the phone and the extension onto google chrome browser
Mine only opens the map but doesn't pin to the sent location?
i made it easy and all in 1 page for people to get at rather then bunch of pages.

I didn't find the directions too difficult to follow...though they didn't really make it very clear that the apk needs to be registered first.
However, even though I register the app on my phone with my email address, my computer still says unregistered. Any ideas? I'm using google apps with a custom domain. It took my login, it just said it was unregistered...
Good guide EkostonS. I got it working. But uhm what's the purpose for this chrome-phone extension? It just opens up the link on the phone? Perhaps I am missing the bigger picture, haha.

did u click the link in the guide to login on your computer? step 4 or 5? cant remember not looking at the guide at this time.
you must login to that for this to recognize to send.
and the point is to send things from your comp to your phone.
such as, MAPS, LINKS, VIDEOS
watching youtube video and ur leaving? send to your phone.
want to bookmark a site on your phone ur viewing on ur pc? send to your phone
and one of my fav's
want to download a cd torrent on your phone? download a torrent app on your phone, send the link from pc to phone and download !

you forgot the mention the signing in on chrome. tttons of people were having problems including me, not being able to send the link to phone due to server error cause you werent signed in on chrome.
and im pretty dizzy now from watching the video LOL

on your TF .
Do the allow unknown apps permission first.
Just click on apk and it will load
Once you are rooted Do the following
go to market get superuser load
go to market get OTA rootkeeper then load
If you are strugglng with this I recommend you do not go any further (ie roms kernels)
I'am almost sure razorclaw will not work because it is based on 8.6.5.19.
It checks the version and also needs (fixed) asus-backup which was delivered with 8.6.5.19.
You can try it, but it will fail.
easy to upgrade from 13 to 19. harder to get back. But based on difficulty with simple Nachoroot poster asking questions should stick with stock.
only luck I've had so far is with www.playon.tv . I'm on their 2 week free trial right now but considering the upgrade.
dont know if anyone has found this in another thread or on the web, but heres a link to a version of google chrome you can download without running ics 4.0 on our atrix 2 phone. i downloaded it and been messing around with it. it looks nice but doesnt have extension as you would finfld in a full version. check it out.

Nice find! I have a tablet on ICS and i was able to play with it already. It had some bugs but i am sure when it is out of beta it will be amazing. I already love the chrome desktop browser and having them both integrated with bookmarks and etc will be awesome.

yeah, i also use it on my laptop wish i could set up the synce and such on here but its not there yet. but im a chrome user and being able to run it on something thats not on 4.0 yet is pretty nice even if its not fully built at this point. ive yet to run into any bugs as of yet, gonna keep ky eye out for a more fully functional build that can be ran on 2.3 phone and post it here if i do. i appreciate your thanks for posting this as well. (and anyone else thats may like this as well, sorry i cant thank every post)
This was a great find, I think I'm going to try this out. Chrome is a great web browser. Even better to have the Android version before ICE comes to the ATRIX 2.
This is not Chrome - this is Miren browser, just patched up to look like Chrome... Even when you first load it up, it says "Welcome to Miren browser" in a foreign language!

It's our stock browser except of the icon - the one is old Chromium (hate new 2d versions).
Just flash in CWM, no wipes.

What exactly do you mean by 2d image? The new Chrome/Chromium official icons or the one I have posted? Or it is about Windows icon for Chrome?
I mean the old official 3D icon - I still use it for shortcuts on my Windows computer.
