Personally I don't think there is much to offer, but you can try Crackle. Also see http://www.crackle.com/ for more info. The plus side is that it's free.

on an HD2's sd card that you buy just to copy the movie and after that you return it
Yeah i would love to check Avatar out on my Captivate.
I figured by now someone with a Vibrant would have uploaded it for other galaxy s owners to check out.
You guys do understand that the movie is about 1.4GB or so in size. Not the smallest of files and not very easy to just upload anywhere to share.
Plus its tagged with Copyright protection. I doubt it will play on any other device. Especially if you're not allowed to even watch it via the TV out on the Vibrant. It seems its only reason to exist is to show off the Super AMOLED display and thats about it.
Tonight, when I get out of work, I will upload the avatar dcf file for everyone to play with.
I use videora to convert. its free and gives predefined settings and allows batch opperations.

I hope you guys know thatposting copyrighted material or links to such things is against Xda rules and will likely get you banned.
double post... sorry
download the movie on torrent site?

[Q] android connectivity with iPad? (use android as remote?)

I have the HTC G2 (Desire Z) on t-mobile. I just purchased a 32GB iPad 2 last week and am waiting for it to arrive soon. I want to use it's video out features a lot with my TV and I also have an apple bluetooth keyboard for typing and stuff.
My main question is are there any apps that allow an android phone to be used as a remote or mouse for the iPad??
Just any apps that allow android and iOS to play nice together would be great to know about. (and I'm not really asking about games, more so productivity apps or remote control type apps) Thanks!
p.s. Please no fanboy/troll comments please. I seriously am just trying to get the most out of what I have purchased. I love android and I love the iPad 2, and I would love some input on making them play nice together as I can't find anything online besides tablet comparisons
Just found this:
http://phandroid.com/2011/05/05/access-your-android-phone-from-your-browser-using-lazydroid/
I'm thinking using it to browse your phone on the ipad? Could work? Havnt tried it as I haven't received my ipad yet. But I think its worth a look.

I would love to have media controls for my iPad on my Moto X, so I could control my Youtube app. It's that possible?

Wait for Chromecast or buy Justop A10

Looking to get an android based device for watching Netflix etc. and streaming from my media hub. Thought about repurposing my Galaxy S2 for this but as I can get at least £80 from mobile trade in sites I figure I'd go for this Justop A10 device: http://www.amazon.co.uk/JUSTOP-Andr...reamer/dp/B00D6LEABA/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_t_2_1QAV and keep the phone for a little longer.
However, I like the google cast functionality of the chromecast (probably work around this by using Chrome-to-phone) and the price of the chromecast. If I go for the Justop device (unless someone can recommend a better one at a better price) would it be unreasonable to expect that someday a developer will release a ROM that replicates the Chromecast? Is there anything that the Chromecast can do that these generic android sticks can't and vice versa?
Thanks,
empty

Yes. Just get the chromecast if it does what you want, because it already does it. Well, once you can buy one. Keep in mind that it requires chrome on a PC someplace to play local files.

Decided to go for the Cozyswan S400 (also known as Justop K10A) in the end as will do everything the chromecast can do and more. Also want to start developing my own ROMs for android sticks so will give me a good device to test on (similar, if not identical, hardware to a lot of the other RK3188 devices).
Will probably pick up a Chromecast to play with when they arrive in the UK too as £20-25 is too good an opportunity.

[Q] What is this weird device??

I have an Xperia device and was searching through the Play Store for anything that's Small App compatible, then found this video demonstration of an app:
" ソニタブッター for small app: http://youtu.be/cG63zb4jN9w "
My question: What on earth is the device used in the video?
It could be something Sony, since it was demonstrating a Small App for Xperia devices. It's definitely Android, since it was demonstrating functionality of something in the Play Store. This is the only video by that uploader on YouTube and his channel is in a foreign language, otherwise I'd ask him directly.
It looks like a really cool device , and might be fun for everyone to know more about.
Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Me either.
And apparently it even came stateside? The link you shared isn't even an unlocked, but an AT&T-branded device.
But Android Honeycomb? What kind of hardware is inside there?
Also, thanks for responding?

You can find unlocked/international ones on eBay.

Apparently updatedable to 4.0 ICS. Honeycomb 3.0 was a tablet-only version of Android that was abandoned/integrated into 4.0 and future versions.

Dual core 1GHZ nVidia Tegra 2, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, microSD slot, 5MP camera.

You're welcome?
Yeah, but Honeycomb feels awkward and nerfed between 4.0 ROMS and Cyanogenmod 7's openness.
Definitely good hardware for its time though. I wonder what other special development endeavors were made on the device?
Maybe it would've caught on if it had some sort of interface on the outside of the clamshell as well? Like the concepts in Samsung's demo video when they first announced flexible displays.
But that's a different subject.
Thanks again for the information. No question about it this time ?
