I would love to have a BUFF theme, similar to what was available for the G1. Hopefully someone will make one soon.

+1 on this, I had the theme for my Hero as well and loved it.
+1 On this too. Never got to use it on my hero since i got my evo before i could flash it in. Just flashed it over last night before selling it. I'd be willing to help out and provide a test evo.

lol yeah typing with the phone... not my best work
+1 for this. Loved Buuf, had it on my iphone (shudders) and on my G1, would be great to have one on my Evo (with Sense UI also)
This would be great. I love Buuf, I have it set for my TrueLaunchBar menus.
Edit: looking back at Buuf themes for Windows XP, I think it should be easy to modify MattedBlues for Sense into a Buuf theme.
I buuf'd my phone myself by putting the icons on my sd card and using folder organizer and desktop virtualizer to set the desktop up. I even made a custom weather skin for beautiful widgets. Its more time consuming than just flashing a theme but you get the satisfaction of using the icons you want and making it truly unique. Pics attached. I hope.

I'm using the Buuf theme for adw.launcher and love it. I'm so damn jealous of the iPhone ONLY because of this theme. This thread has pushed me to finally download the necessary software to start a theme. It'll take awhile since I'm new, but I'll see what I can do.

Any update on a Buuf theme?
Attached is wood.apk from the new HTC Mecha dump. Basically it's an apk for that phone to provide a wood theme!! This would be cool to use to create a new theme or to port over to the EVO.
Here is the slate.apk
Here is the slate.apk. Look's like a blue slate theme. Would be another nice item to port over.
And here is the metal.apk.
There is also a skinpicker.apk in that ROM dump, looks like it let's the user pick between theme. Interesting concept. So food for thought if all you themers get bored.
These themes are pretty kool I just install the wood it looks nice with virus rev-z Rom

Wait a second, it installed fine on the EVO? How do you get it to work?
All of these install fine and can be used on any desire z/HD rom. The thunderbolt uses sense 2.0 which is the same as the z and HD.
Inside the .apk's are preview shots. Here they are: (I kind of like that metal rosie)
Woooooowzers!!!

Is there anyway this theme can be ported over to the Inspire.

I used it on the captivate, and it worked and looked great. Hopefully if it can be ported to the inspire like it was to the captivate.

Not quite as good as the above.
plus one for op's request
I am currently using ADW Launcher, they have a free Honeycomb theme to go along with it. Looks pretty good IMO. I haven't rooted yet due to Goldcard complications so I am stuck with this. I do recommend if you are in the same boat though.

Its the Xperia S Home Launcher and its pretty sweet. Many of the Xperia widgets are in there too. Its very smooth and it has caused no problems at all. Very easy to install.
And if you're not sure what resolution our screen is, its 480x800 (WVGA)
Enjoy
This is pretty sweet! Thanks for sharing. Is it still in beta?

Nice find, iHelper.
Though I tried it and didn't like it. It has cool animations for drag and drop but:
* folder size is unchangeable.
* widget size is unchangeable.
* shortcuts can't be renamed.
* Experia widgets are supported only on xperia home.
Go launcher has all these features. but it's a nice alternative for Sammy touchwiz.

Ok so I'm making a ROM for myself (I'll probably release it too), I'm starting with Sense 2.1 GB because I want the HTC Music app and a couple other things. I'm going to remove Sense and debloat the heck out of it. My question is in the title. I'm looking for the perfect launcher and am open to suggestions, I would really like to find a unique one. Please include what it is that you like about the launcher. I have tried the following and and looking for something else: Hi, Zeam, ADW, Holo, Lightning, Go, Smart, MX, QQ (this one I do like), EZ, Sense, Regina.
Here is a screenie of the project with the QQ Launcher
And here is the EZ Launcher, the runner up at this point... I don't like the fact you can't change the dock.
Just got the MIUI v4 Launcher working. Me likey. Facebook is borked tho.

I've always been partial to either ADW EX or Go launcher on GB. But since we're talking about something that might me released. How about that claystone launcher. Unsure if it's compatible with GB, but it is different and I think free

Of the ones you have here I like the second one. In the past I have really liked the features in Go.
I'm just happy I've got the HTC music app working on a NonSense ROM that was my main goal lol

I don't understand what is up with Facebook tho, I have never had problems until this week. Now I get fc and refusing to open and all kinds of stupid crap, mind you it is when I am playing around with ROMs but still
facebook released a completely recoded app this week, that could be why.
They finally stepped away from the sluggish html5 rendering system it had been relying on and now is working with a native code base

Ok so I've been playing with and I have got to say, great find! Having a couple issues, but that may be on my end... But I'm definitely am gonna do something with this launcher. This is with a built in theme, everything is done with cards, it is really cool.
