Fresh out of the weekend since their support page was updated. A 5-3 release makes sense. Hopefully the radio version is different than the leak, which is reboot happy due to the radio. Software versions match though.
Thanks for the details. I look forward to the official, the leaked was not very stable.

i apologize if this info was already posted. I was just trying to share some info i just noticed. as many people have stated, i have not seen an actual date of release. I also have access to phones a few days before they are released so if there is anything i can do to help the community, please let me know. i have a thunderbolt, and being an employee, i can have my phone replaced whenever needed so i am willing to try pretty much anything (guinea pig anyones software). so if any dev wants me to try something i am more than welcome to.

As most of us, I have been following this since the leak this morning and we now have a flashable release over at AndroidPolice.com (http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/05/16/download-leaked-gingerbread-rom-for-the-htc-thunderbolt/)
I am personally waiting until das BAMF comes out with their next version based on GB just so I don't have to download and configure another rom within days, but again, congrats to Jcase.

Ha yeah...Adrynalyne said it was a trojan to free up bandwidth for dev's to download it. The original "leak" was not flashable and people would have messed up their phones if they jumped the gun too early. Probably did himself and the rest of the community a BIG favor (no threads titled "Help I tried to flash the leak and screwed up my phone")
Has anyone tried this yet with 4G? Will this work with Titanium Backup so I do not have to reload all my info and apps?
Thank you!!!

I am more than willing to help people, but it is a waste of time if the question has already been answered. We shouldn't have to repeat ourselves every time someone new comes on because they don't wanna search for the answers that have already been given. This is a forum, not a social network and we try to keep the threads clean from this needless clutter that makes it more difficult for people to find things because everybody wants to start a thread for every question they have instead of searching for the answers. Go look at some of the other threads and the stickies the moderators use, or better yet their sigs that clearly state "search before posting"
If it's a waste of time why even post about it telling them to search since youre just wasting more of your important time..
And you act like theres so much activity that on here that you would think people still wouldnt be able to search.
What I find so funny about these posts and especially about these posts in the sk4g forum...is that there are barely any roms to compare. Just do some research and like many others have said, learn to use the search button.
I'd reccomend anything developed by ayoteddy though. Glorious overdose and stainless touchwiz by undeadk9 are the best I've tried.

By the way, I use GenericGinger 2.0 on my SK4G, runs very smoothly, pretty fast and the battery life is good. You can google search it since I can't post links but I recommend it. Its been my first rom and my favorite, it never crashes and I get about 1700+ on quadrant standard.
Sent from my SGH-T839 using XDA
I've had the best experience so far with GingerClone V2. Fast and smooth, so count another vote from me! Apparently Glorious Overdose V2 is suppsed to be better but i had a few issues with it and ended up going back to GC v2. I just liked the blue theme on GO better than the green.. I've heard good things about generic ginger though so going to try that out now and I'll let you know how it goes..

Glorious Overdose V2 has been the best in my experience. The downloads in that thread don't work anymore though, so go here to download the ROM if you're interested.
GOv2 here is the most reliable rom i've found sofar for the much unloved SK4g.
An yes FFS use the search function in the forum for instance the captivate THS cm9 thread is over 500 pages long if you have a bug or something odd use the search function an you will find the answer 9.5-10 times Even searching in the forums saves you a massive amount of time an doesn't make you look a little on the lazy side for posting (whats XYZ on "insert phone here" ) I've had to use the search function so many times to figure out how to patch certain things or fix a botched flash. (ends Pintek rant for now)
gingerclonev2 for me mate, most stable, fast, smooth, good battery live,
quadrant - 1920/1960 contantly ...
quadrant (stock) -1220/1230
one of the best feutures is that support Outlook, full sync+push
I hope that is of any good use...
cheers
In my experience, most ROMs sacrifice stability for speed. I went back with stock KJ2 but rooted it and removed all of the bloat so that there was room for apps on internal memory.
I've tried 6 different roms for sidekick 4g, miui v3.0, glorious overdose v.2.0 glorious overdose v.5 senseis sidekick lightening rom and glorious overdose v.3.3 and by far, glorious overdose 3.3 is the best. Version 5 crashes too much with the sys phone force closing, v.2.0 contacts dissapear, but glorious overdose v3.3 is absolutly the best.

I am a fan of the developer who has been doing heavy work for the MT4GS. However, ICS has not officially been ported to the MT4GS. With that said, aspects have been ported and integrated into one of the ROMs. I wouldn't call it an ICS rom. It is a hybrid at best, which is fine with me. I've been running the test version for a few days and it's been pretty solid.

What is there to be jealous of? I don't understand why you would assume anyone is jealous, nor why you think anyone is "screaming against an ICS port."
I think most of the people who have spoken against the OP was only to correct the misconception that an ICS port has been completed. No one here seems to be against any development.

Dude I don't think they comprehend. They see the software annoted as 4.0 as explained a simple build.prop edit, and they believe they have ICS. It is actually really funny, what's funnier is they trying to defend that it is true ICS. I love larffing, specially at silly folk, thanks for that alone.

It concerns me that they don't have us listed on their Devices page anymore, nor is there a forum for the Bolt. You can't even find it or Mecha mentioned on the downloads page.

I think (could be wrong) a device needs a stable build to get a subforum on their site. For example, the Nexus 7 doesn't have a forum there either, but you can bet your ass it's getting official CM10 (as I'm running the nightlies on my N7 now). The TB is going to be tricky because it has never had any official CM build - someone from the team is going to have to sign up to be the maintainer, and start doing what is required to get nightlies going.
I still have my suspicions about getting official CM - I think more likely is you'll have a situation similar to gingerbread where slayher, workshed, and the others at least get an "unofficial" CM working, which is really as good as the "real thing" anyway. Either way someone is taking CM source and doing what's needed to make it run on the Bolt.
