Guys i just want to ask what phone is the best to buy ranging from $100-$200 in the US during the thanksgiving sale. Are the phones worth $300+ will go below $200 during the sale? I prefer android or windows phone. Hope someone can advice me. Im from asia and i will just ask my uncle to buy a good phone for me with a sale value.
1. You need some with future telling ability to which phones are on the USD100-200 or drop to those price range during thanksgiving special sale.
2. I recommend to get an HTC Desire or Samsung Galaxy S for best phones with best value. (sorry no WP7 phone recommendation from me , cause I do not like any of them at the moment)

OK, so I am about to receive a nice little bonus from my company here in London UK! I will come out the other side with just over £500.
my question is: Should I take the plunge and buy the Xoom?
some info:
1. This buy is purely to spoil myself. I dont 'need' a tablet. I have a PS3, HDTV, killer HP laptop , etc! (btw crysis 2 out this Friday...yay! )
2. No, I dont want an Ipad. (yes I have used/owned an iphone before...3GS)
3. Yes, I have an android phone (HTC Desire HD...R00t'd n Rom'd)
4. Yes I want honeycomb
5. I dont have any experience with motorola products. are they any good?
6. Samsung's 10.1 Galaxy tab seems to be a contender as well. Samsung's products are nicely spec'd but they have a tendency to feel cheap/plastic-eeey.
So i'm putting myself in the hands of XDA!
Help me decide please! and if you could elaborate (not just Yes or No) that would be fantastic! If its a NO, what are my options for tablets? (minus the Ipad)
THANX!

I'd be impressed if you could get a Xoom for £500 given that, right now, they're exclusive to deals on Verizon so you'd have to buy someone out of a contract on that and cover the cost of import??
When it arrives in the UK I suspect it's price will exceed £500 by some margin - it's likely to compete with an iPad2 3G and the UK's sim-free/unlocked market isn't noted for bargains (and the lock-in prices on the old Galaxy Tab remain silly even now).

Hi All,
I am planning to buy a smartphone in couple of weeks and requires your help in making the decision. Below are my requirements
1) Should be under 400$ (US dollars)
2) Screen size should be > 4 inches
3) Mobile OS should be Android or Mango (Windows phone). More inclined towards Android
4) Looking for dual core processor as Android runs best on Dual core in my opinion
5) Phone should be unlocked
I liked Galaxy nexus but do you guys think its really worth 440$ (including taxes and shipping)?

Ever considered unlocking a phone yourself? Not that hard to do. Guarantee may fly away though.

Thanks for your reply, I dont mind loosing warranty but i dont see much price difference between network unlocked phones and network locked phones. If you do , could you please post a link or guide me . Thanks
Please suggest
Unlocked Phone might seem expensive at the front but you are not tie to 2 yrs contract with network assuming that you are in USA. You can find alternative data and phone plan much cheaper. Good luck
BUMP ...Please help . I need to decide in couple of days.
HTC One S - should be able to get international version unlocked for around that price. 4'3 inch screen, good battery life, really thin phone and fast read a review on it. This phone is newer and built on better technology than nexus, it has sense UI if that's your style. I used it and it felt really nice to hold aluminum casing. built solid.
HTC one S is 100$ more than Nexus which is 500$ .I already stretched my budget from 250$ to 400$ .
Hey guys,
I found a guy (... my brother) who wants my tablet, He did offer $250, what do you think guys? is that a good price? or should I ask for more?
I got this table from Best Buy with a good rebate (like $50), the price was around $250.
With this business "in process".... my next target will be Asus Transformer TF300T (any recommendation at this point will be appreciated)
that offer for a second hand wifi only tab plus is a good deal. Go for it bro
You bought it 250, used it for a while and want to sell it for 250.
In terms of money it s a good deal, in terms of brotherhood, well, personally I would give my brother a better price, but it s your choice...
And here I was hoping I could get like $180 for mine when I sell it. $250 is a great price for you.
Thanks for the advice
Thanks friends for the advices, I was able to sell the tablet just today..... I gave the tablet with a 32gb microSD, Armorsuit screen layer and a nice leather cover, and my brother was actually really happy with the "movement"
Hi guys,
A friend of mine wants to buy an Android phone in the 200€ price range. Unfortunately I don't know this price range so I can't be of any help, is there something worth buying for 200€? It must be easily available in Europe.
My suggestion would be a second hand Nexus 4 for ~150€, but I guess she prefers something brand new.
Thanks
Hello folks.
Sadly yesterday evening I had my beloved and in pristine condition Nexus 6 stolen when getting into the metro.
Phone is already off and no location available in find my Android. I know it is now gone anyways, nothing I can do about it.
I am temporary living in Mexico and here technology comes at a very high cost, approximately 30%+ of prices in US or EU. Also smartphones in general even when getting aged they seems to keep a very high price. For instance a new Nexus 6 32Gb would cost me from 9000 to 12000 Mexican pesos, which is equal to $450 to $650 USD.
Also I don't really trust on getting used stuff in this country. Lots of stolen or partially functional products.
My available and maximum budget right now is 5500 Mexican pesos which is equivalent to roughly $280 USD. The options aren't many really, plus I want a device that is community supported. From what I have seen so far this amount can get me either a Nexus 5X or a Moto G4 Plus. Which of the two would you guys recommend? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Pietro
