[Help] New HTC Inspire User Needs Help Please

Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I am in need of some help with rooting.
All I need is someone to point me in the right direction on finding a the best program that will root my phone. There's so many programs out there and I'm not sure which one works or not and what to really do. I would really appreciate it if someone could help. Thanks.
I am running on the 2.3.3 Android software

Use Attn1's hack kit. Very easy. Just read the directions and the "effen" manual.

I just rooted my wife's inspire this weekend and used bubbys rooting method, very easy also...its quite different than my cappy. Just thought I would share

Well like there's Hack Kit and like Bubby's but I think I keep getting confused with rooting and other ROMs and stuff.

Bubby's is old and there has been no new support or development for a long time. Attn1's hack kit is the only kit that will work with the newer versions of android. Currently it is not only the easiest to use but also the only one which will work.

cant we just help someone without calling them out. this is supposed to be a friendly helpful environment.

Who was being mean? People were either asking a simple question or stating facts. No one was being rude to the original poster. Trust me, there have been a lot harsher replies made by others.

I just see alot of sarcastic responses i just think its uncalled for thats all.

Now I am curious. First, I am not being argumentative, sarcastic, rude, ignorant, mean, homicidal, etc., etc., toward you or anyone else, so don't take anything the wrong way. I am simply curious and trying to understand which comment you found to be rude or somewhat harsh toward the original poster. Maybe I am misreading something in the posts but I would like to understand your point of view.

Notice the quotations maybe I'm seeing it the wrong way but it looks sarcastic to me. this is what I was referring to I wasn't trying to call anyone out it's really not that big of a deal I was just saying. I hope no one takes offense to this.

I understand where you are coming from now. I can see how that may look sarcastic. I could not say with 100% certainty that it was or was not meant to be that way. From reading previous posts made by Gene Poole, I don't believe he was trying to be sarcastic. Thank you for explaining.

Yeah I wasn't trying to call out gene Poole, Its just that I have seen so many sarcastic flaming replys over time it looked as if it was. and sometimes people like to mess with noobs it happens alot. I'm sorry if I offended anyone thanks for understanding.

Yes, many of them are. But most of them (myself included) are simply exhausted of seeing the same 5 questions asked over and over and over and over and over when a quick 10 second search would have revealed the answer.

Not to stick up for anyone, but the search on the xda app it sucks something fierce. I searched MIUI theme and got one result for that and the rest was roms. It'd be nice if they/whoever maintains this app could update the search and maybe add the ability to search within threads.

lol it is a little hard to search on say google for Charge stuff as 'droid' and 'charge' are pretty common/generic terms

Read Read Read. When you think you are confident enough to flash stop read some more. Im not going to link the threads it is up to you to find them, if you want ICS bad enough you can search around.

And guides set up all over the place, read the entire thread too.... all of it, because odds are any problems you run into have already been inquired about and you can more than likely find the answers you need.

I tired to give a proper answer but we always have people that need to add. IMO if you need to ask how to then you need to read read read. Then read some more. Im not going to link to those threads or even tell where to find it. If you want the latest greatest for your phone you need to spend some time figuring out how to get it.

Instructions are in the 3rd post, though I recommend reading the prior two as well.

As a few people have mentioned before, search before you open a new thread about something that has a lot of documentation already.
FBis251 has set up some great wiki pages that have a FAQ section, start with that and they have links that will eventually get you to your answer.

I tired using the methods in the Sticky to no avail. I want to use Google Wallet instead of what Verizon and AT&T are trying to implement (ISIS).You just know these Greedy A-Holes will charge us a fee every time we use it.

This is staying locked, an will not be reopened for any reason. Obviously the op can't read or search for anything.

The trick to using search, is to use key words. Sometimes the answer is in the form of another question.. sometimes..

Yeah but by not searching you show little respect for the people in here that have the knowledge and share it freely, and most likely just about everything has already been covered, and searching is not hard there is search button at the top of each of the sections, suggest you and others learn how to use it, we don't just keep posting things over and over because you and others are lazy, and no we don't give you the links, you need to find them for yourself. If your attitude might have been a little different, I would have replied differently, so think before posting next time.

Also, Google search your questions with "xda" at the end of your search -it will yield more links to the forum (usually) than simply using xda's search function...
