Memory is space for running programs. So yes, you will run out of that.
Internal storage would be something different. Though some apps may still get installed to your internal memory regardless of what you tell it.
then what i can do
i lose memory eevery min with doing nothing

Yesterday I have rooted my Galaxy Ace and removed some pre-installed apps and also moved as many apps to the sdcard.
But the internal memory stays full and when I install for example the google docs app (4 mb) on my sdcard there is also added 4 mb to the internal memory.
When I look at App2SD it shows that the app is installed on SD card.
I rooted my device to get more free internal memory but up till now without any result.
What else can I do?
Best regards,
Carola

move dalvik cache to SD-EXT partition in a2sdgui..
delete all apps in /data/local ..
this should work. it worked for me.
yeah... just search how to activate a2sd on your Galaxy Ace... the best way, flash Ketut Kumajaya's CF-Root kernel, and also a2sd files with it... then activate using terminal, and you are done...

Which version of Google Play Store are you running? You may need yo update with the newest version .apk file. Also, some applications are local storage only -meaning you are not able to move to your sdcard. Which size/class sdcard are you using, and have you tried clearing data and or wiping cache partition and/or Dalvik cache?

Tried all versions of google play.
Sd card is sandisk 16 gb class 4
Its internal memory is 3gb free y do i need to clear cache?

Actually, try clearing the google play cache. Not Dalvic cache.

clearing cache and dalvik is just one of those things that sometime magically fixes things. Like restarting your computer when it acts up. it won't hurt anything at all, you won't notice a speed hit at all. If you wipe dalvik cache the first boot after it will take for ever (a few minutes), but then it will be fine.
Hi I already partitioned my SD to 256mb ext and now I want to change it to 512 so do I use cwm just like first time or what??
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
yes but you will loose all data on SD, I do not know any other way to change and work, there are some apps that are doing this but I am not sure that really works
Did you try it yourself?
I tried some app from store but it did nothing, just in app confirmed and after reboot came back as ware before doing anything
so the best way is trough recovery
some people says that swap should be 0, but I do not really know, mine isn't 0, it is a virtual memory and prevents some apps to be shutdown by low memory killer and maybe improves a little multitasking, I am using ics rom and eats a hell of memory so I am dreaming that not 0 swap it helps a little
I mean repartitioning through recovery
yes, repartition it trough recovery, and yes I did repartition trough cwm recovery for few times with different sizes
Thx

I have a Galaxy S Duos (GT-S7562) and before some days i have rooted this phone to install Link2SD. reason was to move or link app to external SD card. But I fail to move or link. after some days when i was trying to install some app from play store it shows me insufficient storage so i skipped to install new app. later i have installed few unofficial roms and old firmware to get rid of this problem. but no luck.. so I installed samsung official firmware S7562XXBMD2. but similarly after installing 10 apps like pdf reader, go sms pro, skype, tube mate, mxplayer etc. it showing insufficient space and that i need to remove some app to recover free space. so what should i do. how can i resolve this issue. plz help me.

Hi,
Check in folders /data/app and /system/app. If you find some *.odex file in one of these try to delete it.
This fixed a similar issue for me.
I'm running out of space of phone memory. I've moved all the movable apps to internal storage but the notification keeps coming. And the calculation of space in phone storage doesn't seem correct. Please help me solve this issue.

If u have custom recovery u can try to delete dalvik catche
and try to use CLEAN MASTER , it useful if you rooted your rom
*** iF YOU HAVE ROOT ROM YOU CAN TRY LINK2SD APK TO MOVE YOUR APP TO SD CARD PARTITIONED *****
I have the very same problem. I could not find any solution that does not require root access. And I can't root the device since it is not mine. :/ Can anyone help out? I tried many different cleaning programs and I also tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/how-to-solve-memory-leak-problem-xperia-t2488573 but none of this works. I can free storage from internal storage but not from device memory.
delete some apps/data
