I used to use ezPDF Reader and RepliGo Reader to read PDF files, and both are very good. Yesterday, I moved all my PDF files to an external microSD card, and I can't find a way to point the PDF files in these readers. The only way I can read them is to browse them using File Manager, and then open them (& choose a app).
Is it possible to set the file location for these readers? If not, is there any other good PDF reader which can set up PDF located in the external microSD card?
Many thanks!

Im getting really tired of dicking around with converting to epub... are there any apps that will render a majority of ebook formats?
Ideally quality apps.
I use Aldiko App and Calibre on the PC. Not sure this is what your looking for. Calibre manages you library and converts all your books to any format all at one time and I thought Aldiko used more than one format but I'm probably wrong. I converted all my books to the same format a long time ago and I use Aldiko to read them. Maybe one of these will help you out or lead you to something that will.
I use this one. Its pretty good and it's free

Also Ireader is very good (get it on the market), both the free version, and the paying one. With the paying one you can also read locked mobibook format. Its excellent.

Is there a way to use the external memory card with Aldiko?
I just started playing with it so maybe I missed the setting but it seems that it only sees the internal SD.
Otherwise it is a nice reader
Cheers
I don't have a tab yet so I'm not sure about the internal/external card. I know that on my HTC Aria, all the books are stored on my external SD card. I have several hundred books on there now. I used Calibre on my PC to re-code them all to one format and the program auto pushed them to my SD card. I used this guide to get started.
www.maximumpc.com/article/howtos/howto_manage_and_convert_your_ebooks_calibre_progress
Then I went to www.aldiko.com/ to figure out the app.
Hope this helps
When you install Aldiko it makes a folder on the SD card called Ebooks. Inside that folder is one called import. Make sure you push new books to the import folder. then inside Aldiko hit the minu button and select import. Then it will add new books to your library.
I use a mix of:
eBook (Samsung bundled app)
Aldiko
FBReader
Kindle
Kobo
...and for comic books:
jjComics Viewer
ACV
...and for audio books / podcasts:
AudioBooks
TuneIn Radio
ACast

I recommend FullReader. It supports not only ePub files but also opens many other formats.
Hi I have created a folder on the micro sd card called books and then transferred some documents from my pc onto it.
When I try to open the files on the phone it only gives me the option to open them via open office but it says it does not support files over a certain size.I would like to view them like I do on my pc, that is with Adobe reader. I have Adobe installed so how do I get the files to view with it ?
Thanks
what ebook format should I get to be able to work with the S-pen (Kindle , epub , pdf ) ?
Anybody know where can I get pdf ebook ?
I would always lean toward epub, I haven't investigated drm ebooks on here yet, but all the ebooks I have I convert to epub to read with fbreader (on both android for all tablet phone and book reader)
edit;
my book reader isn't android, but does have fbreader.
I use calibre on win and Linux PC's to convert formats
I use epub instead of pdf as it is easier to reflow text for various screen sizes and screen rotate

Calibre cannot translate the Snotes .snb format and i haven't found anything that can. It is an obscure format. I wonder why Samsung used it other than to force people to have their devices to read it.

If you want an ebook to use with the S-Pen I suggest you go for PDF format. As far as I know there are no ebook readers (Apps) that allow marking up epub or mobi files. If you use pdf there are several apps that allow for marking up pdf files with the pen,

Ez pdf reader will open pdf files and when you select the pen at the top it will ask you if you want to copy the file for making annotations and then on that copy you can write what you want with the s pen. BTW the copy will show up in the library shelf when you open Ez pdf reader.
I downloaded some ebooks, and in the folder it has epub, mobie, pdf Im curious can i just transfer the epub file to my Note 10.1 and it can read it?
They're DRM-locked so you may have to import them via the application rather than copying them to another folder. Aldiko can open epub books--just set up with yoyr Adobe ID and then import them..

Epubs are Adobe DRM products. You need to signup for a free Adobe ID to use epubs. You can get a free Adobe ID at the Adobe website. Aldiko and other software that can load epub formatted books, such as Overdrive, have a place in their settings menu where you input your Adobe ID. On the Aldiko homescreen you'll see three dots in the upper right hand corner, pressing them takes you to settings, where you can input your Adobe ID.

Got it thanks.....
I just drop any .epub into a folder on my external card and use Cool Reader, I browse to the folder on my external card, select it and it picks them up, for .mobi they are Kindle book, you install Kindle app free, browse to the kindle app on internal card and drop the books into the Kindle folder, I use EZPDF for my .pdf files, same again I drop them into the Library folder and the program picks them up. Hope this helps, Jim.
If you want to have only one reader app on your device you can convert your e-books in a program called Calibre.

I wish to use my tablet as a photo album. I have purchased a 64g micro sd card and placed a large number of folders and sub folders onto it from my laptop. I want to keep them in the same folder format as I have them on my laptop. Despite downloading and trying many " file manager" type apps I can not find a way for my Amazon Fire HD 8 (7th Generation) to open my photos in the same folder format as they are when I open the SD card on my HP laptop. can anyone offer and suggestions.
