Vertical Wallpaper - HTC Inspire 4G

Since out phone is more vertical how can I pick a picture as my wallpaper vertically? I hate how they make it horizontal because it stretches it. I'm using MIUI if that helps. Please help.

I make my own... wall paper is 960 X 800, but I'll Center the image I want.
Usually I'll make the "image" about 480 X 800 and then paste it dead center into the 960 X 800. No More stretch. Kinda sux to have to do tho.....And of course almost no images are created equal which means playing with the image...alot....

Damn that's for that!

[Q]Does matching pixel density matter?

Our phones are about 217dpi (216.97), does it make sense to adjust LCD density in build.prop to match? Theoretically would it not mean that pixel are represented on a 1:1 scale, makings it appear more crisp?
Or am I missing something?

It doesn't really matter as 240 is the stock setting, but I always set mine that way.

[Q] Wallpaper Question 480 x 800 not Fullscreen?

Guys why does 480 x 800 Resolution Wallpaper won't go Fullscreen?
whenever I add a Wallpaper with this Resolution it asks me to Crop it now it can only display a part of it. Is this really how it should be?
Do you have the ROM virtuous unity?
I've got that problem too.

lower screen resolution

Hey anyone else find that the sensation is faster with a lower resolution due to it not having to redraw/upscale apps?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using Tapatalk
didnt even know that was possible, is that what you have done? and if so how?
Not possible afaik
I used a free resolution changer from the market place

Though it does make some from of the native app/programs look funny - so there's definitely a trade off there

You guys can try this. I haven't tried it since I'm not rooted yet.
After changing resolution go into spare parts, unchecked compatibility mode, reboot.....and apps will appear correctly

That negates the whole point of having a nice qHD resolution screen.
Not possible afaik
Will give it a try
Reason why I went with this phone is b/c of the higher res.

Why buy this phone and then change the one thing that makes it so special?

Can we safely assume he changed his density and not his resolution?
Our resolutions rock a lower density. I love my insanely small text that is super clear!
Something interesting when you change the density to 200 and load up the new market in landscape mode. Looks and works just like my Xooms market. I can't wait for ICS!

Wallpaper trouble..

When I set a wallpaper for cm7 in the lockscreen settings I can choose to use the whole photo when cropping, but when I go to change the wallpaper for my home screen I can only crop half of it. Anyone know around this?

Also, on rcmix 4.0 I can crop the whole photo as my homescreen wallpaper, while any other ROM I cannot

That's the default. The lock screen doesn't scroll side-to-side so it's only half as wide. On the main screen, you can scroll screens and the background shifts with each page. That's why it is a wider image.
Cool

Camera Night Issues

Hi guys,
Am facing an issue while clicking pics at night. I have uploaded a sample pic and as u see all the lights create an issue. Could someone pls tell what the issue is and why it's caused and how to resolve it?

Wow thats bad.. I'd turn auto ISO off switch to the lower settings and take the photo while shooting video. That should fix it. Its as if the camera is adjusting between the lights and the night sky.

You might try another phone too. Mine had that issue tpp

So is this a hardware issue?

Might sound silly but it really looks like your lens might be dirty. Might want to give that a check just in case.

I don't think so. Here is a pic during day time. Day pics are awesome. It's the night ones

It's nothing dude, just the visible souls of the objects that you are photographing.
Hey. Change replace your phone. Odds are there is a scratch on the optic causing the stars. I got that info talking to a buddy of mine who is a professional photographer.

It may be a dirty or scratched glass. You won't notice it in the daylight as much. The actual lens inside focuses past the glass, but at night that will create a really soft image like yours.

Thnx guys. Going to atnt to have the device replaced. Hope they do it
