I've been searching for this too.
I am still looking no luck yet.

DroidCam Wireless Webcam should be able to do that, but only through WIFI or USB and requires additional installation on your PC.

I want to be able to use the verizon fios mobile remote while I'm not at home. To use it, you have to be on the same wifi network as the tv. I want to mess with the tv while I'm not at home. Would there be any way to make my phone think I'm in the wifi network at home while I'm actually on mobile data?

You could probably setup a VPN to connect your phone to the home network from anywhere you have internet access

What would i need to setup a VPN?

Afaik if your router can run ddwrt you can setup openvpn on it. You would also need to install openvpn on your phone though which requires root

Yeah my phone is rooted, but how hard would it be to install openVPN on the router?

I plugged my note in via USB to a printer, but it wont print unless its a Samsung one which seems rather stupid. Is there any way around this? Thanks

It is probably limited by what drivers are available on the Note. You would be better off trying to set up cloud-based printing than looking for a way round the driver issues.
Use google print

Is there anyway to install the drivers? And its not wireless so I don't think it will work with Google

I am not aware of any printer vendor releasing Android drivers unless they have an app in the Play Store. Android is not really an OS intended for printing via a direct connection. I use Google print by attaching a printer to my networked PC.
Can anybody recommend a good HDMI mini android computer dongle? I want to use it on my TV so that I can use Chrome to access my network security cameras in my house.

Search for dlna. Your phone will need to act as a dlna server. The ps3 will be able to find it and stream from it.

Make sure your phone is on the same WiFi network as the ps3 and try to disable any computer firewall while you get it running.

I'm sorry im wondering if there's a way to connect the two without the use of a router or computer just phone to ps3 nothing else... Again sorry for the confusion

Edon82, unless you connect them in the same network, you won't be able to stream.
It does not do Bluetooth streaming

Any reason why no router? You could try tethering the PS3 to your phone then running the DNLA server.
