if I take this way I can only use the standard sounds. how can I use personal sounds?
e.g. "you've got mail" sound from AOL for email-notification?

You have to manually set those by going into each and apply it in their settings. Like for the text, open up messages, click menu and go into settings and change the tone all the way at the bottom of the menu. Same applies for the email

That worked, thanks man.

That's odd. My boss has an infuse and he doesn't have to set them each manually. He's able to just set his notification tone in either sedge or in settings and it works for texts and email.

Happened to me too. I set the one in settings, but it only worked for general notifications, not text. That one I had to go the setting in the message app itself, which I thought was weird.
But then I thought about it and it makes sense. If you want to have multiple sounds for different types of notifications.

[DONE] time shifted SMS sending

Hi. I search for a tool where I can send time shifted SMS. I need this for the 31. December of 2011 to send a couple of messages at point 0 o clock. Any ideas to realize this?

Compose the sms, add the contacts in the sending list, save draft, add alarm or reminder for desired time. Profit!
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk
Yes, but I don't want a reminder or alarm. It should be auto send at 11:59h pm.

Removing default sound

How the heck do you remove (or change ) the default sound for receiving e-mail messages?
I've tried going into settings and GMail, but with no luck. For lack of a better way to describe the sound, it sounds like a "haunting sound". I've installed a number of ROMs and this sound seems to be the default.
Thanks!!
MC
I think your talking about the "notification ringtone." For me, email, Facebook, and any other apps are tied together to this. Just go to settings/sounds/notification, to change.

Really? I always change my notification tone in the gmail settings. Check again. Or tell me what you see in settings.

Thanks, everyone. Turned out I missed changing a setting in my email program. Usually when I restore my apps using TBU, I haven't had to worry about that setting, but for some reason the notification tone changed this last time I flashed a ROM.
