Is there any way to disable 4g completely? Or toggle it on and off? I couldn't find anything on this and if there is a topic I apologize.
Under wireless settings. Select cdma then auto.

"2G-3G OnOff" widget by CurveFish gets the job done for me (milestone)
It's just a shortcut to the 'disable 3g networks' screen, though, but I find it sufficient.
Basically, you can choose between "Auto" and "2G only" from this screen (you can't force 3G only).
To force 3G only I had to go to this hidden menu in the milestone which I forget...

I use switchpro widget. It's just like the original power toggle widget that comes with the phone but more features. Get it from the market.
Switchpro only calls the network menu too, or did i miss something? A more direct 2g/3g switch would be nice
Yes, i tried to install it with xrecovery, flashing without problems. After sucessful boot, the power bar is gone and on long tabbing an empty place on the desktop, nothing happens anymore :-\

Na SwitchPro gives you a button to toggle the data connection i.e 2g/3g
The button in the middle is called 'Data Connection' and not 2G/3G. But that's what it does, turns 3G on/off
It turns the data connection on and off, but thats not what i want, i want to switch directly between 2g and 3g.

anyone gotten data toggle to work on gingerbread? on 2.2 i switched to toggle mode and it worked. but its grayed out for me on here
I have this too. When I click the toggle when data is off it takes me to the mobile networks settings. If data is on the toggle still shows as off.
Is there a way to turn off GPS on this thing? I can't find it anywhere in settings
You can add it to your quick tiles and toggle it from there
Go to settings, location, click battery saving options , if it's on high accuracy that means your GPS is on.

There is an app called Toggle Network Type in Play store, that works fine. No support for tile but widget support.
