Hey Gang!
I'm really stumped and frustrated right now. I have ALWAYS been able to play my Amazon Apps (Plants vs Zombies, Glow Hocky, Angry Birds, Peggle, etc) when not connected to the internet UNTIL today! For some reason now when I try to play offline, it tells me that the app requires internet connection?! Is something messed up?
This is really pissing me off! Did Amazon change something??? Anyone else having this problem?
I have no problem playing offline, I tried peggle.
Update... ok so I did some research and found out that sometimes uninstalling the Amazon app, shutting down, rebooting and then reinstalling the app will fix the problem. Crazy, but seems that since the Amazon Apps only work when the Amazon App Store is installed sometimes it doesnt see it being offline and shoots out the "internet connection needed error". Weird!
It's due to the licensing function of the app store. You should be able to use offline, but you probalby got caught in between a "token outdated" time period.

Hey guys, just got this gorgeous tablet today at bestbuy. I can't get samsung updates to download it just gets stuck around 6%. That means sadly I can't get hancom office to download. I can however download anything including apps from the google play store. Was wondering if anyone has had this issue before.
Edit: I used my phone as a hotspot and the update happened quickly. Why is that? Is there something wrong with my home wifi? I have verizion fios and don't want to eat up the data to download hancom
Edit: Found fix. Had to change dns. Apparently my fios router doesn't like samsung. Seems to be an apple fanboy.
So I've been playing Coin Dozer for a while, and I simply can't imagine how a game like this is using more than 50mb of data per day. Being pissed off, I turned off data and started playing the game again.
Needless to say, during this no-data period, ads still show in the game, messages are still being received in both whatsapp and Line, etc. I just tested youtube and yep, videos still play.
I've been searching around and only find one thread with the same problem but on a different phone. Solution for that person seems to be "disable 4G."
Does anyone know how to fix this problem for G flex 2? Or at least how to disable 4G so I could try whether that works for this phone?
Connection Optimizer
If I had to take a wild guess, I would say try to turn off the connections optimizer if it is not already. Then use a startup manager and disable this app from starting on boot. I used "Startup Manager (Free)". The optimizer, even if you turn off Wifi, will automatically turn it back on and keep searching for hotspots. I assume it is the same with mobile data.
Bug is straightforward --
Over on the Galaxy S6 non-edge (Verizon branded), over Verizon 4G, Google Play Music either will not load songs at all, or will load them after several minutes of loading. 1080p videos on YouTube load in seconds, so it's not directly related to my 4G speeds.
Works fine over Wifi and with other devices.
I've tried the following with no results:
Uninstall Google Music App Updates (with phone restart)
Reinstall Google Music (with phone restart)
Reset Phone Settings (with phone restart)
Restore Factory Settings (with phone restart)
Clearing Google Play Music cache and data
Sometimes a song or two will come up that decide to load. If I skip on to the next track, the next one will just hang for two to three minutes before playing.
Any ideas?
My Google music has been working perfect over 4g when I'm at the gym. That's weird bro

My next step is to replace the phone with Verizon. If that doesn't fix it then.... well, hopefully that fixes it!
I'm having the same exact problem with my phone too I thought it was just me
Sandman, which market are you in? I'm in the Atlanta area, been having this issue all parts of town so I don't think it's a certain tower.
I'm in Maryland and both the DC/Baltimore areas have been giving me problems
I'm having the same issue! I'm in the Atlanta area as well (Clayton County for work. Dekalb County in the evening). All other streaming music apps work fine except for Google Play Music. YouTube loads a little slower than I would like too. Even on WiFi it still loads up pretty slow.
Same here
I am in Atlanta also and have been having issues.
What makes me feel A LITTLE better is that i checked my wife's S5 and it is having the same issues as my new S6.
Sounds like a Google Play problem and not an S6 one.
google play music
I am having the same problem...also on my new s6...as well as my wifes s5.....we are in the warner robins area south of Macon....Plays fine over wifi for both phones.... it has to be a bug within the app itself... I hope there is a fix soon...it's annoying!
Got mine working [fixed]
Okay...I was able to fix this.
I went into Manage App section and uninstalled update for Google Music and then I cleared cache in the same screen. Also, make sure you go to the play store settings and select the option to NOT update apps automatically. After having no luck with Google support for about an hour, I was able to do this and my music has been working fine for about an hour while steaming.
Edit:
It appears as though the cache has to be cleared (using the same process above) every time you connect to a wifi and then go back to network. I ran into the issue again after connecting to wifi, but it is back to normal after clearing the cache. It will take about 15 seconds for the first song to start, but it will go back to normal after that.
It hasome been working fine for me since I have gotten home today. Music loaded quick on 4G and I was able to play songs from different albums without waiting for it to buffer.
google music bug
I spoke with a google employee today who told me that engineers were aware of the problem and are currently working on a fix...in the meantime she told me to uncheck "automatically cache" under settings ....I haven't had a problem with it playing over 4g anymore today...will play Instantly....hope this helps those who are still having issues
When using wifi, my mate 8 will remain connected but the internet does not function sometimes. The wifi works because usually im using my PC at the same time. But ive noticed it hangs on other wifi connections too. Im not quite sure whats wrong, i turned on my data speeds and it downloads 307 b/s while doing this strange stuttering. It usually causes youtube errors or some game apps that make you watch ads will result in a splash screen error message. Not quite sure whats wrong with it but its annoying having to wait about 30 seconds for it to load my webpage even if the wifi was just working fine a second ago. Any tips or help? Anyone experiencing the same thing, im on B352 AL-10 firmware.
Hey there! I am having the same issue and drives me nuts as I don't have a proper data connection at home.
I currently have the same problem. I have to restart my phone and I do that, all related apps to google play stops as well displaying a message "google play services are updating". I found a work around this issue that I downgrade "google play services" using apitode then updating the service using play store.
But is really frustrating to do that 2-3 times a day.

Alright so i am currently having a few problems with my Nexus 5 and to be frank, they are quite odd. First off, I can no longer get any wifi from my school, i cant connect but everyone else can. I have no idea why. Then, when i try to login into my google accounts in my phone, i get an error, wether if its youtube, google play, or any app that lets me log in using my google account i get a message saying "no wifi or cellular network connection" now, the worst part is, all of these services work fine when im on lte, so whenever i want to download an app or watch youtube videos, i have to be using lte which is not the best thing to do. Any suggestions? ive tried clearing the cache of my google play services and stuff but nothing seems to work. Ive also tried to flash new gapps but that still didnt cut it.
Thanks to anyone responding to me in advance.
