Hulu Plus official app was released today and officially sports Droid X as supported (only 6 devices are). Although some, including myself, are seeing "all of your devices are incompatible" when trying to download. Likely has to do with which version of gingerbread your running.

I've been using testube for a while, using it for my titanium hd. And its been great. But I know we've all been waiting for a native app to be released. I just heard that Monsoon Multimidea released the Vulkano app across many platforms and it's backwards compatible with the hava devices as well (not just the new vulkano devices). Its a free app, and though I havent used it yet, its seems just like what we've wanted.
Fellow iphone users have mentioned to me that the Vulkano app does infact work with the old hava devices. Though, im sure these 1st releases will be buggy (hava player was when i had an iphone), but atleast its here! MLB Playoffs here i come!!

I have a Netflix account that begs to be streamed on my 7" Samsung Galaxy Tab.
My Tab works fine with several video streaming sites - but Netflix refuses to install directly from their web site...saying that my device is not supported.
I understand the process. But I'm growing a strong resentment of Netflix's attitude about this whole thing. They imply that they just haven't certified that the Galaxy Tab is compatible with their streaming service. Yet many comparable android devices are. Sheesh, how long could it take to check that out?
I have a feeling that Netflix has made a deal somewhere to delay or obfuscate the use of devices competitive to the iPad (or maybe some other tablet). Who knows?
But it is frustrating to say the least.
i had read somewhere that netflix did not want to release it until all problems were worked out, and since there are many different versions of Android (EVO, DESIREHD, NEXUS) they wanted to have a universal. To say the least android required more from the dev team. Should be out very soon, but if not im sure there are leaks somewhere.

Another option
If you are mostly interested in TV shows you can do what I did and get TV Shows Stream. Try the free version first of course . The full version costs $4 but well worth it to me. I was really bummed about Netflix not working until I got this instead. It's great.

i also use PLAYON and TV Shows Stream. Best software out there for it. But I also do use Tversity
netflix IS working on an android app. i dont know when it is going to be released or what stage of development its in. i do know from reading around that netflix hired and put a team together of android developers.

From what I've red the main hold up is DRM. It looks like newer snapdragon devices will get it first because qualcomm has made steps to secure their processors.
The number of devices suported is very limited:
* Google Nexus S
* HTC Desire S
* Sony Ericsson Xperia neo
* Sony Ericsson Xperia pro

We need the guys that worked on the Netflix APK to take a look at it. I'd love for this to be on my sensation.
Oddly it doesn't work on the Nexus S 4G.
also now has a running service that doesn't let u close the app.
what is with devs that think their app is so great that you shouldn't be allowed to close it and it must remain constantly running?

could the magic combination be the latest Gingerbread + FFC?
One of the advantages to the latest Ginger, if I recall correctly, was native APIs for a front camera (until now, apps had to be coded for specific camera devices- that's why some video chat apps only supported some hardware).
Are these maybe the only devices running the latest Google update that happen to sport a front camera?

Just occurred to me- Nexus S 4G isn't working. Nexus S GSM unlocked is.
Maybe the reason for these specific devices is Skype still has some kind of contract with Verizon for Droid video calling?
I recall Skype video on the Thunderbolt being an exclusive Android offering which VZ apparently paid for. Maybe Skype is allowed to offer Android for other non-US carrier affiliated devices? As far as I know, none of the phones offered are available through a national carrier here, and all have a front facing camera and the latest Gingerbread OS. Maybe I found the pattern?
Anyway, that being said, unlike the thunderbolt version which was heavily tied to that hardware, I bet we can crack this baby open to work on other Ginger devices at least!

From what I recall, Gtablet and CM7 don't work together nicely on the camera side of things.
Maybe try Vegan GE? I don't have it installed now to check.
That was with cm7 not cm7.1 rc the camera issues were resolved.
BTW I have the same error as the atrix guy

I agree. I bought the non HD version but it is just a sweet (model SHV-E110S) and I woudl love some customization. Hell Id even pay for some. I am by no means a phone expert but I am running gingerbread FB13 on it and if someone needs a copy of it and can point me in the direction of how to pull from phone or where Kies stored it on my computer id happily send it.

Hey guys, as the proud owner of a SG s2HD LTE. I would like to let you other guys know you can run most of the app's that the android market says are "incompatible". The way to do this is to install Snappz Market, find games like Order and Chaos HD and install (all free on this market), Order and Chaos HD runs very well, the phone does an incredible job running all games!
