Hi there,
In Miui v2 I had 2 serious issues:
1) Bluetooth handsfree connection did not work properly
2) No separate timer for security lock screen (only one timer for 'screen off')
I am considering install of Miui v3 by Khal, but does anyone know if these issues have been solved in teh v3 ROM?
Thanks,
Olaf

yess, i've experienced same trouble here, on MIUI V2 seems have a very weak bluetooth signal. My moto s9, could not be control unless i move it near to my XT720
Bluetooth problems still exists in MIUI v3, tried this morning.
Does connect and recognise when phone rings, however, as soon as I accept the call the bluetooth connection drops the sound signal. Phone connection is established, just no input and output sound through Bluetooth.
I rolled back to Khal's Galaxy v4, which works flawless in Bluetooth.
Too bad, definitely love the smoothness of MIUI v3...
Maybe you can start telling us where you can download V3? 'Cause I only see V2 (which I'm currently using).

I think you are right. I call it v3 since it came after v2 (beta4), but it's probably the v2 final. Filename says: miuiXtFinal (by Khal).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1085683&page=41
Sorry for the confusion... anyone else experiencing unstable Bluetooth behaviour on Miui v2 beta4 or Miui v2 final?

There was a v3 based on oyang06's beta 5 and the latest based on the "final" release with an update
Ah, so it was V3 after all...
However, the Bluetooth car/handsfree problems do appear in both V2 and the latest (V3) version from Khalpowers. Sound input/output is lost as soon as phone is picked up.
The stock based Khalpower roms (GalaxyXT, SteelEpicBlue) are perfectly fine with regard to Bluetooth.
Any ideas on solving this issue?

I was wondering if the Eclair version from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670240 is suitable to be used with Polaris, using the nbh from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=660158
It seems like people say good words about this build. Anyone tried it yet ?
Tried it today. I think it's fastest Eclair build for polaris i've tried. After some time of use it becomes almost as fast as donuts.
Anyway there is no wifi and bt. Wifi starts but does'n show any networks. It crashes regulary and reboots. No data with 3G... e.g. no data at all.
Tried with 29-04-2010 kernel (because of ADB support) without any updates.
Will try with paipo's kernel shortly.
UPD: with paipo's kernel it at least tries to scan, and return an error "Unable to scan for networks". With dzo's kernel it didn't scan at all.

Failure! oh dear.
It's not only the build, but the kernel that has to be "shaped" for us.
I tried it but no way for Wifi... Bt works but to use all the days : no for Polaris users
Cheers.

Great news!
With the new nbh files for polaris from dzo, (from 2010-05-07) it works great!
got bluetooth working except for the fact that it breaks connections all the time..
Wifi not working but it seems the whole incubus26jc supereclair version currently has wifi broken!
But I strongly recommend that nbh from dzo

the upper files are for polaris!
Good luck everyone!

Have you guys tested the RLS5 ? It is from 8 may
RLS5 Features
- Much Faster System
- Extra Apps and Widgets are Now Optional
- Fixed Full Market (Thanks Pandemic187)
- Fixed Lockscreen Not Showing Up
- Fixed Power off option on red button (Reboot option still not functioning)
- Fixed Kaiser Wifi (Tested)
- Atttempt at fixing Apn Problem
- Fixed Voice Search Crash Problem
- Added More Stable Live Wallpapers To App Pack That work without Crashing on Sleep
The Donut version I've tried seemed very fast for me. The screen responsed much better then the WinMo. But when it was to making something else, opening a program, the browser, market... most of the time I get the screen with not responding to kill the app. How is this new release ? Faster or slower then Donut ?
It doesn't work booting from NAND with the latests .NBH. Does it?

After sometime, 3g data connection has been auto-configured without APN entry
whatever, that's a good news since data connection is more reliable than with myn 's last release with latest dzo's kernel
After saying that, that's an eclair build with all it's advantage: better readability even in 120 lcd density and better resolution management, better menu and 3d ability....
I was able to run copilot too with a good gps signal
The main issue (as always with eclair build at the beginning ) is battery lifetime
hope it will go better
Let's have fun !!
Has anyone make wifi work with this build for NAND?
I installed it today and it was really fine, but when I apply the latest wifi/BT, it doesn't boot (the android logo cycles indefinitely).
+1 ... same problem here.

All credit goes the great mike1986. as this was taken from his thread.
Thanks to him Ive successfully been able to fix the bluetooth voice earpiece feature that was not working on the Rom in the signature.
Ive flashed my share of Froyo Roms and it seems that a lot of them have the same problem as well as some Gingerbread maybe.
The idea is to push the call/end button on your bluetooth connected earpiece to do various call related features without having to grab your phone, its all controlled via voice command.
Many people have been looking for a fix for this.. well here it is.
Directions:
Flash via CWM, reboot and you should have the feature fully functional.

I am running AR 5.1.3. Voice dial works fine from the phone but when I try to initiate it from my bluetooth headset I get a Force Close of processcom.android.voicedialer. I uninstalled voice dialer with TB and then installed the bluetooth voice dialer from this thread via CWM and I still get the force close when initiating from my bluetooth.
Any ideas on how I can fix this other than flashing a new rom?
Okay I just flashed to LeeDroid which claims to have fixed the Bluetooth Voice Dial Problem and I still get a force close when initiating it from my headset.
Anyone have any ideas please????
Wow this is cool to have. Im not having much accuracy though. Ive got a 2 year old Jawbone Prime so my bets are that its the problem. Looks cool but hasnt played nice since day one. Anyhow this does work if you got a decent headset

I'm having the same problem and would really like to see this fixed. When I tap the voice dialer app on the phone, it works as it should. However, it always FC when pressing the bluetooth button. I think the settings file associated with connecting the bluetooth button to the app is the problem, but I don't know what file it is or how to make it better.

Nothing happens at all when i hit the button on my bluetooth. With the stock rom, before installing VU, it would pull up the voice dialer. But i can't even install it now. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!
EDIT: Got it to install, but now it force closes when I try to use it, with or without a bluetooth headset.

6.1.1 is the same base with updates/enhancements from mike1986. I can't imagine this would bork you. If you're too worried, make a backup. This isn't going to brick your phone to a point where you can't get to recovery and flash your backup

Hi all,
Here's an explanation of the issue that occurs on my Nexus S :
- Sometimes, when making a call or answring a call, people can't hear me.
- When it happens, Voice search or voice text input don't work as well
- Reboot don't change anything
- I've tried both KF1 and KI1 radio. No changes (Seems to be worst with KI1, but and can't be sure)
- I've tried CyberGR-mod, KalimochoAz's CM9 and Stock 4.0.3. No changes
- Works fine using BT headset or wired headset
- Tested on two different carriers (Bouygues Telecom and Free Mobile)
- Reported by other french users : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22339612&postcount=2305 & http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22338740&postcount=2304

May you complete your rom config with your radio version ?
I already read that your using KalimochoAz's CM9 v2.1
I'm gonna try to reproduce your config for testing
if you have voodoo or any other audio app like that, turn off "hi-fi record" and your recorded audio volume should increase.

It was my first though when I was on CyberGR mod, and I uninstalled it.
Still had sound issues
Now on stock rom, I've never installed such app, and the issue still occurs.
Its weird, I'm having this same exact issue on a sense rom that I have ported..
Could it be more software related? or a problem with the radios?
I'm one of the unlucky few who can't get Bluetooth to work with UCLD2 leak ICS.
It doesn't affect everyone. Just some folks.
It crashes for me and I've tried three different ROM's.
UCALC4 doesn't have the problem with bluetooth for me.
Just wondering if anyone out there has come up with a fix for it, or if you have found any custom ROM's that don't have the problem?
Please don't say CM9 because it's using the older Bluetooth code from Gingerbread (IMO) and has a couple other issues that aren't working out for me. Great ROM otherwise though.

I do use darkside.
Sometimes before wiping and sometimes after.
Have downloaded UCLD2 twice, so that's *probably* not the problem.
I hope this Canadian ICS release has some additional Bluetooth fixes.
Otherwise, I may go back to Gingerbread before long.
did you install the radio following Sean's instructs:

My first ICS rom was a bust.
Then I installed the radio and afterwards installed Sean's 4.2d9:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1602216
I did it exactly, no superwipe, used the cwm touch he said to. Installed the base, then the update. Did not install the bluetooth mods. Only thing I installed was a different battery to fix the ics signal bars from greay to blue.
BT works better than it ever has. I was streaming Slacker and running nav on the way via BT to my Ford truck via Sync to test.
(Sync in my 2010 has always been twitchy; never worked right with my Atrix <previous phone>)
Also BT to a home speaker system is great, also.

---------- Post added at 03:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:35 PM ----------
I am Running Seans Sky Ice, amazing ROM
Issue for me is car bluetooth, and after working for couple of days it started to connect and reconnect again, after I've been listening to music, so my guess (and this is after testing new radios and few other things) is stock music player does something to bluetooth or bluetooth permissions (as as well as phone it also connects to the car) and once there some connection issues when trying to turn it on through the car, the whole thing just does not work properly.
I never had a problem from update 1 to 6, it started on 8 and seems to happen on 9 again. So for the threads out there that say I've tried all the ROM and it's the same, no it's not it was fine on Update 6 here.
If you are running any other ROM, do a back up and flash Fix 2 first and then if it does not for flash Fix 1, thank you to seanzscreams.
Possible Fix:
What I did is i did a nandroid restore ( and yes it is a good idea to do a back up right after you flashed both base and update and set up LTE, to keep a clean copy)
!!!1) Before setting up or even turning it on, in Titanium Back up, freeze stock music player. !!! and it is important to do so before touching BT, as it may affect permission and this will not work(make sure not to touch MusicFX as it also affect BT permissions)
2) Reboot the device
3) Open Google Music Player and set up your music( please note if you have more then one playlist, make sure you set them up right as songs wont play continually and you will not have ability to skip them using car controls)
Google Play is same as stock, meaning same functionality, same car features and all, so you are not really loosing anything.
4) No close it
5) Go ahead set up BT with the car, you should get two messages one to permit access to phone book and one to permit accesses to call history (well it depends on the car, but if you have a newer system in it they yes) check mark the box so it does not ask you again and click yes/accept.
6) Enjoy. Should be good from now on, I've been listening for it all day, will test it more and let you know.
Please also share your experience and thought on the problem, so maybe I am wrong and it's not the issue and it's something else and we can all get it fixed.
Thank you.
BLUETOOTH IS WORKING NOW!!!!
Unfortunately, none of the possible fixes listed above ever worked for me or other JVC car stereo guys that I know about.
But the newest leak, UCLE2 is working just fine.
Thought it took much longer to recognize my stereo than normal (could just be a one-time issue), it was buzz free, error free and playing my Pandora perfectly!

Ha! Finally! alright, good deal man
Did this fix the timeout issue as well? I'm running UCLE2 as well but still get the timeout once in a while
mine seems to be working fine now on UCLE2 but I've only tested it for a day.
Can someone please help me with this. I really want to update to Jellybean but I have the most annoying bluetooth issue on every ROM I have tried.
I have tried all JB ROMs and standard Kernel and the Sultan Kernel. I have asked in a couple of the ROM threads but got no reply.
The issue is when I connect to my car it takes 5 seconds for the sound to transfer from the phone internal speaker to the bluetooth in my car.
Use my phone for work and can't wait 5 seconds in the car when I receive a call before I can hear the other end of the conversation.
It worked perfectly on my old ICS ROM.
Anyone encounter this or know how to fix it?
Thanks a million for help!
turn your phone s-off if u ain't.

It could be a device incompatibility with the blue tooth receiver.
There are a few devices that just don't work right with the JB roms even though bluetooth does work. For instance on both Bruce's ROM and the offical CM10 rom, I don't have this problem. So it CAN work. But like I said there ar enumerous people who have had issues that turned out to be some kind of issue with the device not communicating well with JB.
It could still be an issue with your phone though. Do you have any apps that might interfere with bluetooh like an automatic volume up app when blueooth connects or something like that? If so, delete all that stuff. See if the results improve.
Do you have another bluetooth device you can test it with? At lest we could narrow down if it's a reciver issue or a ROM issue.
Also try doing a fresh install after a full wipe. Then just boot it up and try it. Don't install anything else. Just see if you have the problem on a completely clean install. If you don't, you might have an app interference issue.

Hi thanks for replying.
I will try Bruce's ROM but the official CM10 ROM didn't work for me.
I don't have any apps that could be interfering as all I have done whilst testing this problem is do a full wipe, install the JB ROM and go and check the bluetooth.
I will check tonight if the issue exists on another bluetooth device and report back any problems.
Cheers
