Hi All,
Well, I finally received my Andida 1800mAh battery in the mail this week. Charged it up and I'm on my second day of real world testing. It's midday over here and my phone has been off the charger since 8am although I have only used it to send a couple of messages, read a few emails and check my calendar today. I'm not using any SetCPU profiles (haven't even installed SetCPU) and I have 97% remaining.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to test this battery against the stock? I was just going to enable bluetooth, wifi, GPS and load a playlist of the first season of scrubs and see which one lasted the longest. I can't imagine either would last any more than a couple of hours.
Any better ideas would be appreciated, I'm keen to get to the bottom of this and see if there is any real world increase in capacity with this battery.

Im pretty sure this battery has no more mAh than the stock battery.
What do you mean by "mid day"?

Based on what? That's what I'm trying to determine here because although there has been a lot of waffle about batteries on this forum, I've yet to see many people who actually own the battery provide any conclusive results. At this stage I'm neither arguing for or against the battery, but testing it out.

Mid-day means 12:00PM, as in the middle of the day
Charge them both to 100% and run the same movie completely on both. See where each battery stands after the movie finishes.

I'm interested to hear the results of your test. Sounds like a perfect and objective way to tell which performs better....
I have this battery and just from my normal usage, it doesnt seem to be any different than the stock battery. I have not done any testing, just comparing where the batter is after a normal day to what my stock battery was after a normal day.
Make sure you go through a few cycles with the new battery before doing anything. Also wouldn't hurt to reset your battery stats after it's fully charged. It's hard to tell what a 'normal' days use is to compare one vs the other. The movie test seems to be a pretty valid test to me. Please post your results.
i just got my $109 shipment from netimes.com with 5 cases, blutooth headset, dock with a slot for a battery to charge, and 3 1600 mAh batteries and they were all about $7 but they last almost as long as the stock battery with normal use so their probably about 1200 mAh but with 4 it should get me through a couple of days with MIUI which i get amazing battery on

Not to be rude, but that website wasn't updated that long ago with phones/batteries that are still very relevant in today's market. Considering battery technology has not gone through any sort of major rework for years it's safe to say the results on that page are pretty accurate to those phones and most new phones coming out.
Also, it's no secret that the majority of these companies rate the batteries miserably higher than what they will actually test at. I'd also imagine it's safe to say that since the testing these companies haven't changed their whole business plan to represent accurate battery measurements.
Just my two cents. We all know the general result of these battery threads.
Still those batteries on that website dint represent anything other than the phones they are for. once they do inspire galaxy s the 4 g version etc then that thing can be reference d

Until a reputable company comes out with a batter you can pretty much count on it not being any higher capacity than stock. This is due to the size of the battery, unless it sticks out the side of the phone there is almost not a way to make the battery much higher capacity using the same technology.(cheaply) Do you have evidence to prove otherwise? I'm willing to bet you do not..
do you have evidence it cant?
The evidence is in the battery capacities available, not hard to show that.
that is no evidence.......ive seen aa batteries mAH ratings grow but no physical changes.
but that is beside the point until battery boss is updated with the newest phones batteries then it shouldnt be used as a guide like it was back then

The one review seems to be quite thorough. Seems to work fairly well. Not really sure if its worth $30 though. I got 2 1600 mah batteries and a battery charger for $9. So for a third of the price I can swap batteries and get 3X the battery life. Only downside is having to carry the other batteries around.

Can you report back to us about the battery. How long it lasts....
i ordered the 1800 mah battery from amazon and got it in the mail yesterday, and I'm actually pretty disappointed. It almost seems to have the same life as the stock battery. Drains fairly quick. I'm thinking about preordering the 4500 mah one.
So I see no reads the forum before making a thread that already been made.... Come on ppl can't you read utilize the search button before posting?

Not all extended batteries are a "rip off", and besides, how could we know without testing them? I think it's fine that someone made a thread to report on a specific battery that they purchased so that the rest of us can have some information on it. Thanks OP.

I beg to differ. For many many years I was against aftermarket anything unless it was a case. I was given an extended battery for my g2 and it fried my phone. Almost killed my replacement. Never again will I get am products.

Will do. I'll see how it performs over a few days of my typical usage -- a few phone calls, lots of texting, internet and more internet, a few rounds of Wheel of Fortune, more internet lol.
Best case scenario would be a few hours more battery life. After all, the advertised capacity is only 20% more than the OEM battery.

A battery can't be judged by a single usage cycle. You have have to cycle it a couple of times for it to get in the groove of charging and discharging properly But with that said, you won't really see all that much of a difference from 1500 mAh to 1800 mAh. You might squeeze in an extra hour or two through a days use, but not much more then that sadly

Tested with a computer voltage logger over multiple discharge cycles.
No, the OPs battery was not tested, but since NOT ONE after market battery has EVER lived up to its marking, its clearly delusional to think this battery may just be the one thats legitimate.
It's a profitable game for them and buyers are naive and want to believe in the magic.
A rip-off is selling a product fraudulently, regardless if it still has value.
Specifically, a battery that tests to be less that 5% of its stamped rating is a fraud.

Informative chart. Thanks for the link. I've used aftermarket batteries for other phones and have had anywhere from decent performance to one that wouldn't even last 5 hours lol. Not expecting stellar results from this one either, but I got it for only $15 so if it gives even a decent day's usage then it will be worth the $15.
I've used it for about 2 days so far and its been holding up okay. Waiting to see if its gets any better after a few discharge/charge cycles before I really make up my mind about it.

The folks at Mugen are giving out free samples of their products in return for a promise to review it. I would like to mention that I am in NO WAY affiliated with these guys and this review will be non-biased
Click here for the video on YouTube
These are just the initial thoughts of the battery ($80) and the dock/cradle ($23) they sent out. I will be posting a video review and also maybe a text review for these products in the coming weeks
So far, with a fully charged battery, I was able to play Plants vs Zombies for over an hour and the battery meter shows that I still have 89% left. It will take a few charge cycles for the battery to calibrate correctly and the full review will be posted soon
Hope this helps

Hey Guys!
I just wanted to share my experiences about this battery I found. I bought it on amazon, and tested over a few days with BMW on.This battery had an estimated 2700 (!) mah (estimated by battery monitor widget after 5 charge/discharge cycles), and its real. I really tried to kill it fast with wifi hotspot, bluetooth on, while streaming video from youtube over 3g, and it lasted 4-5 hours ! This battery worth every penny of its price! So much win with this one! I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants a new battery!

It is slim, so goes under the original back case. I cannot post a link here since I am a new member or I dont know why, so please copy this into the browser:

I added a picture to the original post, please check it.
I have a Polarcell 1800 too, but this 2680 (produced by Ecell) is way more powerful!
Actually it looks like one of these fake batteries. Please test it for some more days and report back than - I'd appreciate that very much
These 'Golden Business Batteries' are something to be taken very carefully. I have one that was supposed to be a 1930 mAh one, but lasts way shorter than the stock 1500 mAh one.
That's why I'm saying. It's nearly impossible to get that big amount of capacity into such a small battery I'd say.
Look I would not suggest if it would be fake. I am using this battery for more than a month, and its real. I read those ****ty reviews about the 2430mah gold battery and others.. Just google it, you would not find any bad review from this 2680 mah battery, and its working like a charm. The reason the screenshot is just 5 cycle old is that I reflash my device almost every week becouse I am trying different ROMs, and I erase every data connected to the battery.
I just wanted to share my experiences, becouse I didnt find any review about these batteries. It is up to you if you are brave enough to buy one.
thanks for the review!!

Hi,
I'll also went with the Anker. 2 Days without charging even when using custom roms... Definetely a good choice for this Price!
riahc3, if you ask for advice, don't argue about there being higher capacity batteries, if you want the mugen go get it, but if you asked advice in the first place then don't get annoyed when people don't give you the answer you want to hear. Sorry, that's just the way I see it.
If you're after numbers rather than advice, take both. Look at my screenies, yeah I know I'm a light user, under clocked and had a sneaky charge in between but this was on CM10.1 build 15 which supposedly has battery problems, and as you can see I listened to music for a couple of hours as well. Also everyone else here has gotten at least 2 days between charge with Ankers.

I am also thinking about buying a new battery but I think that it doesn't matter how much mAh of the battery has. I think that real question is how will be after 6 months of usage. Most of these aftermarket batteries are start good but after few weeks or months they become useless. So we need real user feedback. Is there anyone who uses any of the aftermarket battery more than few months?
I've started to use JellyBaby v1.5 ROM and I've decided to buy new battery instead of new device.

I don't know about battery life of iPhone 5, S3, Note2, etc but I think that under normal circumstances battery life of our phones should be 2 days.
Do you use home-screen widget or lock screen widget? Does they have any effect on battery life?
aftermarket battery? you're better off getting a oem, a lot of aftermarkets don't live up to the levels they advertise.
