Hi guys, I put last night some OGG files in my wife's sensation and all i can hear is a high pitch noise out of the songs. I put the same files in the g2x i have and it played them fine. I try to use winamp and the other music programs( that don't came with the phone) to see if there is a just the htc player but none of them play them. I have also try to play the files in my g2x with winamp and it does not play them either , i can only play them with the player that comes with the g2x. I wanted to exchange my g2x for the sensation because of the screen bleed. Does anybody can confirm if the sensation can play OGG files for a fact. Do i have to go to settings and do something? thank you.

Hi!
Am I just blind or is there no possible way to search/type in name of my songs in the standard HTC Music player?
I have tried other Music players, but have not find one that looks as sweet as the HTC player, and none with search.
Ive got quite a few songs on my device and it is annoying when i need to scroll like an idiot to get to songs that starts on T- or T-, especially when I'm driving.
Thanks!
bump!
seeking a solution for this as well...
thx!

Okay, I have an HTC HD2 with modded software on it. Audio plays fine when I'm playing music on the modded software. I boot up Android EVO from my memory card to play audio, but it plays all stuttery. It does this for every song I play. I just flashed my radio again and that wasn't the problem. Not sure what the heck it is. Anyone else have this issue? I really like using the Android EVO software from my memory card. It's just a shame everything works just fine BUT the dang mp3 audio...
FYI the music doesn't play fast, it just stutters from time to time. It plays fine when I'm just running the modded HD2 software though. Please help if you have any idea how to fix this.
I hope this isn't a really stupid question....but...I have a movie i ripped from a dvd, and when playing it on the phone, I cant get it to play through the speakerphone...just through the phone as if I were talking on it.....what the heck am I doing wrong?....I want speakerphone....lol.....TIA....DIrtylarry
sounds like a codec problem, what media players have you tried the file in? I'd recommend you try vplayer if you havent already.
Have you also double checked that the file played correctly on a PC? Just to confirm the file works
Maybe I should rephrase this....I can play the movie just great....looks good....sounds good etc.But I have to hold it up to my ear to hear it......I'm trying to figure out how to play it through the speakerphone so I can sit the phone down and play the movie.....not a codex problem....thanks again.....
Right now i am using a motorola triumph. out of my big library of music, there are several songs that won't play in any music app i use. says this type of audio file is not supported. this also happened on my Optimus V before this phone. same files. every one of my songs is mp3, so thats not the issue. I tried cm7(gingerbread) on my triumph for fun to test, and THE SONGS I HAD PROBLEMS WITH ACTUALLY PLAY!, but froyo is more stable as a main phone right now so i am back to froyo, but wish i could play these songs. any ideas?
I have the same issue. Have you tried WikiTune? I was having this issue last weekend and installed that. It seems to work but haven't put it through the ringer yet. I've also had it play a song half way through and then just stop.
plays fine on my computer and my ipad, just not on 2.2 android
Third party applications are the key, lol. Are the songs you're having trouble with perchance ones that were just added to the sd card? In that case, you would be due for either a rescan or a reboot.
Otherwise try some third-party apps, and consider running the troublesome mp3 files through a media converter on your PC. It can't hurt...

A factory reset should help, you can try poweramp also.
Ok so I am becoming more of a minimalist lately but the only thing that bothers me about AOSP is not having the HTC Music App because a lot of my is in aac format to save space, and the problem is that none of the other music players seem to pay nice with my music library. Is there another music app out there that plays aac and is free? Is it possible to get the HTC Music app working on AOSP (probably not)? Any feedback would be appreciated.

You can try THIS , it's light and I've never had an issue with it.
