Is there any way to change the swipe call screen in Samsung Galaxy i5801. I'm really annoyed with the swipe and would like a simple push like the HTC call screens

Please don't duplicate your threads - it makes the forum harder for people to find things. If you need a thread deleting then use the report button in a post and ask a mod for help.
Yes, or just long press on your homescreen and then choose wallpaper.
It's great to see some ROM development picking up for the One S although I suspect this question would apply equally to the One X.
HTC have a 3-finger swipe gesture trap to launch the HD display accessory from any of the Sense Home screens. I'm not a dev but I would have thought that there must be a way to hook into that facility and change the swipe to an app/action of the users choice. And in that case, what about capturing other home screen based gestures (two fingers, left, right, up, down etc.)
I dropped Sense 2 and 3 on my Desire for Go Launcher. Sense 4 has brought me back but I do miss the very useful swipe up and swipe down gesture settings that Go Launcher offered.
Is anybody looking into this? Anything I can do to help?
Wrong section. Maybe the mods could move this instead of locking it this time?
If you see a thread in the wrong section, just report it!
Sorry, I was looking to help get such a feature incorporated into a ROM. Hence I thought "development". No laziness intended.
Mods, please move the thread appropriately and hopefully someone will answer.
I have one problem: What of answering his question? It can also be moved with an answered question. report it and say a answer or only report it.
Please answer here. If the mods choose to move the thread to another location, they will move the whole thread - replies included.

Good question. I was thinking something along the lines like that too. Maybe even if we could some kind of gesture to open voice control etc

The three finger swipe is registered as a keypress, namely key 250 (by default allocated to the action HTC_SHARE). See system/usr/keylayout/cy8c-touchkey.kl for references.

Hi all, as written in the title, how can i change the homescreens number from 5 to 1 on Android 4.0.4?
I have root permissions, so i can edit system file if it is needed to change this number, i want only 1 homescreen because i use just one...
I didn't find anything in phone settings...
Thanks in advance,
Bye!

I think that, just as with GingerBread and HoneyComb that will not be possible if you stay stock - Google seem to think that EVERYBODY needs 5 or 7 home screens. I'm with you - I only need one for my purposes.
The only way you will achieve what you want is by installing a separate launcher running on top of your system - most of these have the ability to customise the number of screens.
Install a replacement launcher - Nova, Apex or whatever. Nice and simple. Plus you will also be able to remove the search box, change the grid size and much more.

Without knowing exactly which AOKP ROM you are running on your Galaxy S Plus I am unable to do the same thing as you ought to do. Search the ROM thread in your Dev forum and if you genuinely can't find the answer then post a question in your device's Q&A forum to ask there.
thanks, i didnt find answers for this but i'll try posting that question in i9001 section

Yeah, JB... but i have ICS...
sorry for necroposting, but actually you can delete unwanted screens on stock ics, and i quote
How to remove/delete unused android home screens:
Method one:
Place two fingers on any home screen and drag in a clockwise or counter clockwise direction.
All active home screens will appear and you can drag any unused screens to the trash.
You can also restore deleted home screens the same way by clicking the giant plus sign on the deleted home screen icon.
Method two:
From your main (center) home screen, press menu and choose edit.
All active home screens will appear and you can drag any unused screens to the trash.
You can also restore deleted home screens the same way by clicking the giant plus sign on the deleted home screen icon.

I don't see where there is an error or bug exactly? Could you try to explain a little more what you are seeing that does not seem right to you?

The dialer is not the stock googledialer.apk that comes with the phone. The dialer is from sources that CM pulls from, thus different looking in some aspects.
It's not bug..it's feature!
I don't really know how stock incallui look like since I've been on CM since day one. I see absolutely nothing wrong with your screenshot.

If you mean that the icons are turned over a little, thats what I'm seeing. I'm also on CM11 but its because its a modified version of the dialer, like stated above. CM is almost like its own version of Android.
ha okay , it's verry strange when you come to stock to see this change , it's seems like a bug =S I prefer stock dialer :/ too bad I'have to make myself
there is also the gray band and after more Inconvenient darken and the ring is cut, when there is a photo made its ugly. I have an another bug with facebook in cyanogenmod , the facebook pop notification don't work :/
I would post in CM thread and see if anyone else has the issue.
Hi,
I've got the new 6.0.1 update on my galaxy yesterday. Now I was asking me if there is any app which fits my personal needs:
Enable "Ambient Display" with those features:
- Clock (like the new S7 which is kinda nice to have)
- Notifications from any message app
- And at least a must have for me; active played song on Spotify during driving in my car (Got no "smart" car so my songs will not be displayed on any display in my car)
Do anyone know where to get those features in any app? Or is there anyone who can provide me some code exaple how to address the locked black screen of my S6?

Wrong section. But hmm. In play store search for "active display" or "dynamic notifications" You should find similar apps to S7 Always On Display.

This happens a lot, and I honestly don't understand it. There is a section titled "Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting," and a sticky at the top of the General section titled "Do NOT post questions In the General Section."
