Please don't duplicate your threads - it makes the forum harder for people to find things. If you need a thread deleting then use the report button in a post and ask a mod for help.
Yes, or just long press on your homescreen and then choose wallpaper.

I had this request a while back and it seems to have died off. Basically I was wondering if the fantastic developers here can figure out a way to get the wallpaper to show on the pattern, pin, or password lockscreen. Right now it is simply black and I think it doesn't look that good. Not a huge issue but one I'm sure can be solved. Here is what seo said about the issue over at his original thread.
"pattern/sim/password unlock black background instead of yours. please don't ask . I will not f*** up the entire android.policy trying to fix "just a background". live with it"
I know this would be extremely useful to a great deal of rom developers so please take consideration. Also I don't know if this is in the right section so mods please move it if you would like. Screenshot below.
I would like this to but i believe this belongs in the themes thread.

I honestly think this should be in development because there is going to have to be some manipulation of system files. I believe when you are manipulating images it should be within themes. This is not a theme but more of a modification that would be extremely useful to a ton of people. Can some developer please jump on this I would def donate.
This doesn't belong in this FORUM...bla bla bla!
Good idea though...even though I don't use that pattern lockscreen.

Motion to stay in development.........Denied.
How did this thread die out so fast. I was really hoping to get this development rolling.
Hi guys,
Is there any way to add "Auto-Rotate" to Quick Setting. I have searched the forum and even google it but didn't find any useful answer.
PS: My DS is running on Rooted Stock Rom (odex).
Thank You!
I'm not sure but I think there is a widget available for it?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
yes, there is a Auto-Rotate widget that you can download from HTC Sense
then you can place on your home screen

No, i dont want any widgets on homescreen, what i want is to extend my Quick Settings drop down menu and add a toggle to auto on and off Rotation.
There is this "Switch Go Widget" I am using, try to search it on the market. I am using Go Launcher though, am not sure if you can install that one without Go Launcher.

Might have to be a case of changing your Rom then

Again widgets, i dont want any widget please. Noobs please don't try to answer this question as i know you all will tell me to use some or the other widgets. No hard feelings.
This question is for developers, who know how to tweak and mod the settings.
Moreover i found a thread but i guess that works for Deodex Roms not for the Odex ones. Here is the link : [SMALI GUIDE] How to add extended Quicksettings

Surely this is more a dev ? and should be in a dev forum then to get more specific help?

in this case you should post your topic in the "Desire S Android Development" section, not here.

What is it that you are trying to achieve with having that on the quick setting? If it's because you only want the screen rotate while in a certain app, then I'd recommend an app called Smart Rotator. It's on the market, and you can preconfigure which apps to rotate and at what angle. So whenever you launch that app, it will rotate as you configured, and when you close it, it returns to normal.
Not Available Try custom roms for this
You need to edit the sense frameworks

@eyahl... maybe he's asking to change the background for the app drawer, and not the wallpaper...? If you look at the attached pic carefully, you'll realize its not the homescreen, but the app drawer, which has probably been modified in whatever garish looking ROM that is...
Although the other possibility is that the app drawer is completely transparent, in which case your suggestion is perfect . But i doubt that, because you can't see any other homescreen elements through the background, which would have been visible if the app drawer had been transparent (clock, other widgets, etc), so i think my hunch above is correct. (Also, I can't believe that the OP managed to flash an entire custom ROM without having the slightest idea regarding changing the wallpaper...wouldn't that be something!! )

Well, I've seen a lot things here I couldn't believe..
But I think you are right.
Anyways, changing the app drawers background is not that easy if it's not featured by the ROM.
@op
what the hell is that ROM you're using??

Okay, i'll give you the easiest and best way out.
Flash Endymion.
You could use another launcher. Also try alt app draw (search the forum)
Sent from my HTC Desire S using XDA App
yeah you should stick with well known roms where you can get support, but there is a problem that needs to be solved so try pressing menu from within the app drawer to see if anything pops up , or it could be somewhere in the settings, it has to exist somewhere, if not consider another launcher
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1210143
Look for "Custom background app drawer", and follow the steps given.
It's great to see some ROM development picking up for the One S although I suspect this question would apply equally to the One X.
HTC have a 3-finger swipe gesture trap to launch the HD display accessory from any of the Sense Home screens. I'm not a dev but I would have thought that there must be a way to hook into that facility and change the swipe to an app/action of the users choice. And in that case, what about capturing other home screen based gestures (two fingers, left, right, up, down etc.)
I dropped Sense 2 and 3 on my Desire for Go Launcher. Sense 4 has brought me back but I do miss the very useful swipe up and swipe down gesture settings that Go Launcher offered.
Is anybody looking into this? Anything I can do to help?
Wrong section. Maybe the mods could move this instead of locking it this time?
If you see a thread in the wrong section, just report it!
Sorry, I was looking to help get such a feature incorporated into a ROM. Hence I thought "development". No laziness intended.
Mods, please move the thread appropriately and hopefully someone will answer.
I have one problem: What of answering his question? It can also be moved with an answered question. report it and say a answer or only report it.
Please answer here. If the mods choose to move the thread to another location, they will move the whole thread - replies included.

Good question. I was thinking something along the lines like that too. Maybe even if we could some kind of gesture to open voice control etc
Sent from my HTC One S using XDA
The three finger swipe is registered as a keypress, namely key 250 (by default allocated to the action HTC_SHARE). See system/usr/keylayout/cy8c-touchkey.kl for references.

I can't seem to find what you're talking about. There's no way to narrow it down by just the info you gave. Just download the picture of it and post it. The easiest way to post it is to use the XDA app. Click on reply and at the top right corner hit the 3 dot menu button. The first option will be Attach Picture. You can select it from your Gallery and then post it. We'll have a lot easier time helping you find it if we can see it.
Just got to thinking and please take no offense to this but if getting a pic posted on a forum had dealt itself a troubling task for you then maybe theming your device aside from changing the lock screen wallpaper should stay off limits for now.
