Hi all,
I have a G900P on t-mobile. Call works, SMS works, but no data connection. Hoping someone here sees something I'm missing.
APN settings are verified and correct (had someone else double-check them) and data works with this SIM on another device.
It seems to be a deeper error than usual - RIL logs show a "generic error", and Phone info/testing doesn't even show any connection attempts. Relevant RIL logs below:

Thoughts/ideas/more info you need from me? I can't find any info on DataCallResponse with a status of 14.
Yes, I realize this is probably on me as I poked around in the IOThiddenmenu, but I *did* make notes of things I changed and set everything back the way it was when I was done.
Data was working fine when still on Sprint CDMA/LTE.
I have the same problem but with AT&T, I have not tried with T-Mobile, and I have not messed around with hidden menu.

Interesting. Do you have root and if so, can you do a logcat -b radio to see if you get the same error? (If you need more info on how to do that let me know and I'll give a step by step)

Only change is in your case you only want the radio logs, so change the command from "adb logcat –d > blah blah" to "adb logcat -b radio –d > blah blah"

Hmmm... I don't see the same error in yours, but your phone also doesn't seem to attempt to initialize the data connection (I don't see any "SETUP DATA CALL" in the log).
If your APN is set properly then I think you have a different underlying cause.
Update: My phone was in for service, when I got it back the form said they replaced several components and now data works as expected. Very strong evidence that it is a hardware issue.
(Apologies if this is a duplicate, search for "phone call reboot" is a bit too generic)

I flashed the MotoG3 2015 with the OwnROM August 19, 2015 ROM build and installed OwnROM GAPPS (and SuperSU, etc) using TWRP.

The OwnROM osprey ROM install went smoothly.
I believe this build includes squid2's wifi fixes beta branch.
Wifi and Mobile Data work just fine.
Unfortunately, phone calls do not. (sort of an important feature on a phone)
Attached below is a logcat of the crash as well as some device system info.
Let me know if require any additional information to help get it fixed.
Side note: This is not my first mod ROM flash. Previously used prebuilt ROMS on Nex7 and HTC EVO 3D. And built CM from source for Nex4 - although didn't tinker with it much. All I'm saying is I'm more than happy to dig in and help poke the source to trace the problem.

Built from source thinking I could debug the cause.
But, woo-hoo, my build works fine.
My guess is the previous prebuilt ROM build I installed still had the RIL bug mentioned in this post:

When converting a CN device to WW, clicking the fingerprint lock in Settings crashes instantly. The error in logcat claims file not found for a file in /system/vendor/etc named settings_vendor_style.xml that is not included on stock devices (those not converted to a different region).
In theory, a Magisk module should be able to inject the file and fix the reader, but the content of the file is unknown because it doesn't exist.

Thanks for looking, but your device isn't one of the ones I was asking about.
I have the official US device from US ASUS store unrooted, and that file is not visible in that directory. I use FX explorer and used search function for entire device with no results. Hopefully someone with root comes through.
Hmm. If the file doesn't exist, I wonder what is trying to find it.

Can you access the system folder with an unrooted phone?
The last time I had an unrooted phone those folders were totally restricted. I'm surprised they changed it.
Maybe I'm getting old
I thought you could always view it, but not mount it write enabled. I know some file browsers didn't bother granting access because you couldn't do anything, but later realized that viewing is still something.

Not seeing settings_vendor_style.xml either. I didn't have a fingerprint created the first time I checked, but created one and didn't see this file or the previous one either.
I'll try to keep an eye on this post to see if I can help you further.
I've had fingerprint enabled on my Asus USA variant the entire time and am rooted. And I can't see this file either
So does this bug still happen on the .57 update? I'm still on .26 but the synchronization bugs are starting to get annoying and I wonder if the updates fixes it, but I'm scared the fingerprint scanner wont work when I do

The issue was that CN devices converted to WW lost the ability to access the fingerprint menu. If it worked before and all you are doing is an update, that would not be part of the known issue. Results may vary.
