Yes. I am so shocked that I feel this needs a separate thread... A few weeks ago, I reported my findings while on an earlier version of the Infused rom. Just for GP, I have installed infused 1.5 and then installed the defused 1.3 kernel over top of it simply because I tasted bln and love what it brings to the table...
So when I reported a few,weeks ago, I noted that my battery consistently drained from 100% to 60% from 8am to around 5pm (9 hours on battery at work). I also use Juice Defender mainly because of the ability to shut off data when the screen is off. It manages that well and keeps me honest since my place of work exists on the outer reach of the nearest cell tower.
That all said, I upgraded to 1.5 last night and monitored today with all parameters being the same. To my bewilderment, I checked my phone at noon and was still at 92%!!! My day was a normal day of light usage. 5 or so SMS messages and a quick trip on the internet. As I got into my car today, my battery percentage was at 81%!... Are you freaking kidding me? Only 19% in over 9hrs.... You have somehow managed to chop my battery drain in half with the move to 1.5. Needless to say, I am pleasantly surprised enough to create a thread about it. What amazing Dev work... just incredible. To gtg and everyone else that have helped bring Infused to this point, my hat is now off to each of you. Oh.. I will also be donating again once I get home.

I've got to say I have seen significant battery gains since I switched from stock to infused 1.5 I agree with OP however I had Juice Defender Ultimate set up on stock, and I have yet to bother reinstalling it on infused and I have better battery life without juice defender on 1.5 than I had on stock with juice defender.
I do wonder if it would improve even more with juice defender, but I feel I am starting to move to the camp of good roms & kernels for battery life versus juice defender.

The reason that drove me to creating this thread revolved around no other variables changing outside of my upgrade to 1.5 last night. Juice Defender was and is still installed. I need it for reasons specified in the original post. All other things remaining the same, the jump to 1.5 from 1.41 has doubled my battery life. Pretty amazing.

Ive cruised these forums for about 8 months now, and i have to say, out of all the forus ive ever been apart of, (PC, Truck, Motorcycle, you name it) this is filled with the worst ratio of rude, abrasive people ive ever seen on a forum, and am surprised that the mods make no attempt to instill respectful comments to one another.

The Infuse is a small forum with few actual development threads. But when it gets busier threads like these hamper development. For every stupid/useless/crappy/irrelevant/junk thread there's one deserving thread that gets bumped off the first page.
Add to that the fact that it's plastered everywhere possible that only development belongs in development, and there's is rightfully little tolerance for this.
P.S. The posts have been respectful.

All kidding aside though in what I think is the third reply actually pertaining to this thread, I flashed infused 1.5 yesterday, am excited to see how much battery life I get out of it toady. So timeout 3g leaves you on edge when your screen is off? That seems like an excellent idea

Day number two with the same result. It's nice to plug in this beast of a phone after a long day's work and see over 80 percent still there. I do lightly use it at work too.

This is hero btw,
I would never intend to that man. I hate seeing reports like that because they make me feel like I'm screwing people over when my goal is to take complete care of my members. Please, if you have donated and have not received access. Send me a request from my forums and make sure you state the email address you donated with. If by midnight I don't have all the reproper requests accepted I will refund your money and you will still get access. Sometimes it is hard for me to catch all the requests. But I am attempting to be very good about my prgram and respect and appreciate all memberships
Problem is said user is a well known donatewares promoter who repeatedly breaks/bends XDA rules. I for one am glad to see him removed from the Epic forums and back to those others (hero/evo) forums where all those donatewares people can muddy up those places. Personally, I'm thankful this place is clean and not infested with donatewares rom makers, but who knows how long that will last. Money is a good motivator to find ways around a system.

Ok guys. Donateware means you have to pay for the rom. Wanna know what my members pay for? My tons of hours of support. There will never be an unanswered question at my site. Also they receive my roms 3-4 days earlier than the public. Any roms I release will go public. Its just the people who can't wait 3 days that cried enough for me to not want to post here

It's a known fact that you aka hero has made "coming soon" threads here then baiting the rom flashing addicts to your own "pay to download.... er, register/support" site for your own profits. Try reading up on what GPL means and understand that XDA does not promote what you do and believe.

GPL states you can charge unlimited amount of money for your work. i dont charge for my files i charge for support and early releases. gpl also states you have 30 days to prepare your source code. none of my xda threads made it that far. GPL on xda means this: you must have your code available so others can use your work and not have to credit. i dont post here because im sick of spoiled little nerd babies expecting everything to be fed to them with a golden nipple

1.1 is not based fully on di18 so it will not go public. 1.2 will be public tomorrow or Tuesday.
and to the other guy. Call me what you want and say what you will. I can sleep knowing the people who donate to me get the support they request and the roms they desire. Just because you don't agree with it does not mean it is wrong. I spend half my day supporting people that use my work. Ask xda how much moderators get paid. Because they do and I dont see you complaining that they make money for closing threads and making threads stickied. Cmon man be smarter than the average bear

So you're implying that XDA mods release roms/products in XDA forums under the condition that IF they donate early they will be lead from a XDA forum post/thread to a pay site to promote their donateware roms "support" just to get a alpha/beta product/rom earlier than the average joe? LOL, get real. Trying to equate what you do to XDA mods is moot and baseless. Just admit it, you're a donatewares/advertiser peddler, just cuz you dabble in the grey area doesn't put you behind the white line. I think you're wrong and apparently XDA mods agree by removing your post/s.

I get that you are a great dev and would like some kind of compensation for your work, but your attitude is just making you come across as a complete asshole. XDA isn't a billboard for you to advertise your "coming soons" on. I'm sure if you had tried to reach some sort of middle ground with the Mods (like including a link to your site in your signature saying you have early releases of your work there) then you wouldn't look like a total prick and feel the need to insult anyone one here.

I must say I didn't notice my GPS not working on my captivate when I had it navigating me to a tire repair shop today... thank god for making it give me turn by turn directions. lol.. but seriously GPS works thanks to Devs! and Yes I've tried a Atrix out and it just wasn't for me, not sure if its the Blurr or what it just felt sluggish for the UI.
Now the Inspire feels good smooth no locked boot loader, OC 1.8GHz now that is a piece of hardware I'd get my hands on if I didn't know there were better phone's right around the corner
Oh my gps worked on my captivate after finding the right ROM. This one just happens to work out of the box. About to go hook the phone up to my hdtv with the included hdmi cable and watch some videos I took

Seriously though, you're right in a way, but really I think the multiple threads are fine and those who have an issue with them need to remember that they don't have to read them. They really cause no harm. People will be people and do it even with a sticky and people will still complain about it.

I had an atrix for a day and it was enough for me. The phone was very fast but the screen did not compare to my captivate. I'll be waiting for the galaxy s2 to come out.

Agreed. Why does everyone feel obligated to say they're leaving the captivate? I mean how important can that actually be
Lol it is a great phone; very fast and has a ton of RAM. I'm actually taking mine back in place of a Captivate and Nexus 1 tomorrow though.
I'm sure the bootloader will get cracked or something eventually and when that happens, my upgrade will be used.
These threads do nothing but cause conflicts as the the person leaving will always gush over their new purchase (and sometimes put down their previous device) while thread readers will always defend their device because they still have it.
I can't help but think that these thread starters do so with the intent to ruffle some feathers on their way out. More like a "I'm better than you" attitude masked by pretending to thank the community and developers. If they really wanted to thank developers, they would send them a PM. As for thanking the rest of the community, in all due respect, I don't think anyone really cares.
Now if it was a prominent developer leaving, I could see the reason for a thread in the general forums but a run-of-the-mill user who hasn't contributed anything significant won't affect anyone in the slightest.

Thank you so much for assuming my intentions. In all honesty I was thanking the devs and simply saying goodbye.to a good bunch of people.
Personally I think that everyone who has to ***** about a thread they don't want to read are a waste if space and are only doing so to call attention to the fact that they seem to think they are better than anyone else and want nothing more than to belittle everyone.
So glad though that you could see right through my guise and to the heart of the matter.
Maybe one day you will realize that no one really gives a **** about you and that you are a waste of space, but I digress, I wouldn't want someone to assume I harbored any ill will to someone who is only here to make himself feel better about, well himself.
Again thank you devs. You made a good phone great, but I would rather have a phone that worked out of the box and.provided a great experiance that can be built upon, than a phone that could have been great out.of the box, but had to be improved upon to make it usable.

Oh wow this thread is funny. I could care less about people saying they got rid of their captivate and went with something else. I personally like reading threads like this and hearing debates about the differences it makes me know good and bad points about each phone. But I definitely seems like the dude was just thanking developers and saying goodbye...maybe bragging a little that he just upgraged to a dual core processing phone but that cool there's nothing wrong with that.
As for me I still love my captivate and am excited about the galaxy s 2. Super amoled plus and all the other good stuff. Plus I don't care what people say about samsung I love em. Maybe they suck at updates but whatever.

Oh wow this thread is funny. I could care less about people saying they got rid of their captivate and went with something else. I personally like reading threads like this and hearing debates about the differences it makes me know good and bad points about each phone. But I definitely seems like the dude was just thanking developers and saying goodbye...maybe bragging a little that he just upgraged to a dual core processing phone but that cool there's nothing wrong with that.
As for me I still love my captivate and am excited about the galaxy s 2. Super amoled plus and all the other good stuff. Plus I don't care what people say about samsung I love em. Maybe they suck at updates but whatever.

I wasn't saying that he was doing any different. But there has been a more than a few of these threads as of late, and I just feel it takes a bit away from people coming in to these forums looking to discuss their current phones.
Hey Darell, is that true that the GPS connects very very fast?? I saw a video and took only very few seconds to connect.
I am happy your happy with your new Atrix. I did go to the store to try it out, seems nice overall, but not really 'nicer' than the captivate to me. I do love the screen on the captivate. I am waiting myself for tegra 3 phones before I jump...

If they really want to thank the developers they should just donate to the whomever's ROM they were using and move on. The "Bye, I've left for the XXX" just comes off as rubbing our noses in it. Nobody really cares.

Makes a bit of sense. It's funny because I was starting to just get into it... I'm not sure I can wait, I might have to see what royalginger or faux's AOSP is all about. I'm addicted to flashing ROMs I think.
Now I never used evil D's rom/kernel or anything. But on serious note as another user in another thread said his rom may have radio.img in it maybe the reason it was pulled. As we all know the danger with corrupted radio.img and as the user says he didn't supply folks with md5 checksum which would give higher risk of bricking the device if corrupted. So maybe thats why it was pulled who knows only evil D and dingleberry mods knows.

Yea I don't think that was it. I'm thinking more of stolen code or some nonsense. but that's all just speculation. Whatevs, I am kind of attached to sense 3.0 now, but I have a taste for vanilla... I need two phones....

Well technically yes legally HTC can make claim and have it removed. But in the past they have not done so as they actually have very open standard with Android development world. As more news hits of unlocked bootloader and opensense sdk which proves more on that matter.
Far as stolen source code goes let say from another user no one else has put any projects as evil d's contribution is known in our community. Now the new mods may not know this as they don't even own MT4G nor has they been in our sections until Option went MIA. If these new mods do lock/delete it then all of the evil D users should boycott XDA and go download from his direct site if they have it. It seems XDA is becoming very cocky atm with its 4million userbase which can drop any min if main developers pulled back from here.

lol you really don't know who I am then. I can't clearly say I support any type of moderation's let it be mod, super mod, admin as I have dealt with all of them in here. I just think they should assign new mod who at least have a clue with the device we have. Also the new mods nuked alot of my posts which actually had no flame, ect and was actually informative. If they contributed to our device in any ways I would be supportive but since they haven't I can say I share their value. Whos/Option both where our own MT4G member but the other 2 new mod's now don't even own MT4G. So they actually offer nothing to the members here.

But far as rom goes I stick to AOSP as I am not big fan of Sense based. ATM using CM7NB86 (AOSP2.3.4).
I like the customization, nice look. I was CM7 for a little bit, I loved it, was going to switch back but I got hung up on the HTC apps. I still can't find a ROM that does VM notification for 'mycarrier', it never works and bugs the crap out of me, so I use googlevoice.
I agree that mods should be experienced with the hardware/software that their respective sections of moderation use. runs smoother that way and I think overall creates synergy(I love that word). But the objectiveness of a mod that doesn't have any affiliation with the section can be useful in when stopping disputes/flame/etc. IDK the real reason why the thread was locked but it seemed like that move was jumping the gun a bit.
I also see that another developer that was pretty new and had posted 3 roms within the last week is suddenly gone now also. He had a really good stock rom for MT4G that was GingerSense but now all of his threads and posts are gone. Nowhere to be found. Can only see his roms via rom manager.

Anyone know why its currently closed yet? I had my suspicions about text9 app included, but he said it was okay cause it wasnt full version and tmo is putting it on future phones instead of swype im guessing.

If you read a few pages back into the thread, it should be pretty obvious why the download link was removed and the thread temporarily closed. None of the issues discussed in this thread are the real reason. It should be an easy fix, so hopefully the matter is resolved soon.
Couldn't be something as simple as the missing MD5 sum could it...?

Or you could have told the OP why in single line instead of him reading few pages. Some folks like myself never used his rom's much less visited his threads but we would be still interested to know why.
it may be the fact that the thread turned into a pissing contest and everyone was arguing about stupid crap like evil updating the rom everyday. which i dont see them pulling the rom for that reason. glad i have every version downloaded already

Its currently gr. only, but we just talked about it and the next version will have an option to choose between oz and gr. I have no idea why we haven't thought about it before, thanks guys!

Don't know if this app works or not? Looked at it on the play store & as a retired highgrade skunk smoker I see a flaw in you're app.... Scales are quite cheap to buy these days for as little as £10 FOR OK QUALITY ONES, BUT IF I WAS A DEALER & SOMEONE COME UP TO ME & SAID TO ME.... THIS 8TH WEIGHS WELL UNDER LOOK? & SHOWED ME IT USING YOU'RE APP & INFO.... I'D FLIP OUT & TELL THEM TO DO ONE & DON'T COME BACK (THATS BEING NICE) Worse case someone would get smacked up or even knifed/killed.... if this app is just for fun then fine but my advice for you would be work on a normal stoner app & not one what might get someone hurt/killed or laughed off the estate with? There are alot of nutters out there who dont play games when it comes to money & drugs.... have a heart mate

First of all, I don't think anyone would seriously confront their person and make a scene based on a reading from this app. It's kind of expected that it won't be super accurate...secondly, Android flashers/fanatics (not just users in general) tend to not be the kind of people who get knifed, jeeze.
That said, I'd certainly like to know why several users say AVG shows it as being malicious. That hasn't been explained yet and I do want to believe...
Just saying that maybe someone who is to believe that this app maybe an option to weigh weed correctly with it, then maybe they are not thinking right? Sometimes people do stupid things when there on drugs. Its like saying a phone can xray you're hand or tell if you have eaten this morning?

If you are worried about the performance of this app just go buy a real scale. And since marijuana is usually $10 a gram and its very easy to hand pick a gram. Why would you worry? Majority of people who buy marijuana get from a buddy any who and usually know how much they will get.

Im not worried, if you're big enough to smoke weed you "SHOULD" be big enough to no better! But like I say "SHOULD BE" I'm not some kid who don't know what I'm talking about.... I'm 35yrs old & grew up from the age of 14yrs old smoking big amounts of skunk on a fairly rough estate in England, mixed people doing drink & all sorts of hard drugs, so i know what im talking about. I am not anti drugs & have nothing against anyone doing what ever they like as long as they don't bother me or my family. don't worry mate I have a clear head so no worries mate :thumbup:

I gotta say, your post title sucks. You have come and posted in the Atrix2 forum, where you have people who own and use and develop for this phone, and we all have a little pride in our choice here.
It sounds to me like you should do some searching on here. There are ways to OC your phone if you so choose, but I would guess you have a rouge app right off the top of my head, and I would start there, before trying any OC, maybe even CM10 or MM might also help before trying to OC.
Oh and questions belong in Q&A.
Now next time you post please think about what you are posting and who you are asking for help... in otherwords, a little attitude adjustment will get you way more respect and help... but saying right off the bat first thing, that this phone sucks, makes people want to reply with "Well then go get another phone, like maybe an iphone".... so keep that in mind.
you could always search, cause most of the performance related topics are already covered in here, and then maybe ask someone for help in the Q&A section before creating a new thread in the wrong section.

A gentleman as always. My first reaction was go for the jugular.
i see this phone is good in hardware and finishing, and the stock rom's / kernels can utilize the hardware power and manage memory in very good ways
Guess he does not have the same A2 as me because mine has been amazing since day one and keeps getting better..... This even at a year old is one of the best phones you can get..... Unless you had something like a GalaxyIII what do you compare this phone to that would make you say THIS PHONE SUCKS.....

I motion to have this thread deleted/locked by our newfound moderator(s). It's an insult to the great work that the dev team has done for this device to come in and post such an inane, pointless, substance starved thread about why this phone "sucks". Perhaps if you feel as such, you should refrain from pointing any fingers, because there's always three fingers pointing back at YOU. Realize this: you bought the phone, and had every opportunity to act upon your due diligence (or lack thereof) to research the device, its capabilities, its limitations, etc. When you make statements (and posts/threads, and so on) here in the community where people have spent countless hours working on it to make it what is has become that are as crappy as you have, it won't bode well for you at all. Try getting any support on a ROM that you flashed and subsequently deem "sucky", and see where that gets you. Have a shred of decent decorum around the forum.

It should work well out of the box. i shouldn't have to oc it to get good performance. Ahhh well i picked up an iPhone 4s this should keep me happy until i can get a nexus 4.

Sigh... It's his opinion that this phone sucks (and you know the old saying about opinions). We all know that the Atrix 2 is an amazing phone. We have amazing developers working on it as well. If this guy chooses to not like this phone then so be it. I wish him well in his Apple adventures.
Ios will never be better than android. I just dowloaded a photo from the internet i want to put the photo on instgram so i thought i'd just hit the share button and the instagram icon would come up like on android. Dude i had to go into the instagram app and then open the photo this sucks..... so I'm back on the atrix 2 again for now until i can get an n4. Only reason i think this phone sucks might be because i used to own a gs3( traded with my dad for his January upgrade and the A2) i didn't mean to piss anyone off sorry

Okay, you didn't mean to irk anyone, fair enough. But, what you should have done was at least had taken some time to really see what all this phone is capable of, before sluffing it off and saying it "sucks". I don't know how long you've had it, but seems like if you would make such a statement about the phone, you clearly hadn't taken the time to see its potential. You have to understand also, people have devoted countless hours to making this phone what it is, and claiming that it just "sucks" is certainly going to rub many people the wrong way. I personally will disagree with you with that claim, as would many others, and I have the SGSIII, as well as the Atrix 2. Both of which are great phones...
