Just purchased dock + 3 batteries for $20 - HTC Sensation

Just found and purchased this off eBay, $20 shipped from the USA so should arrive soon. I'll post a follow up review once I receive the item and have time to test it. Just thought I'd share.

If the battery capacity is as listed this would be a really good deal.

Yeah as long as the batteries are halfway decent, I'll be very happy

Hmm... not really a dock, though. It's just a battery charger, right?

i also bought 1600 mah battery's.. just 2 voor 11 dollars, and a cradle for 10 dollars.. also on eBay

i also bought new battery's on eBay, just 2 1600mah for 11dollars, and also a cradle for 10 dollars

I decided to as cheap as possible, and I ended up with 3 1600mah batteries and a charger for just shy of $12!

You can buy a 1800 mah for the same price. Who knows how good either batteries are, but I ordered one and will test.

Thanks for informing me about this. Just bought it, even if they dont hold the advertised amount (I can see them being 600Mh each and when I complain they say it was added together), it will still be nice to have a spare for when I run dry if I need a ride or something

I have been using this item http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...200912&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_4658wt_902 for about a week and it works pretty well. The backup battery lasts just as long as the OEM battery did IMO

In the pic you can see on the battery it say 1800... My only question is, do you think these will fit? or require a new back door (which I dont know how they'd do with the unibody design)

How is this dock? Is it easy to place the phone on the USB connector. I've been considering one of these because of the ability to charge an extra battery at the sane time. Would love to hear your feedback!

Dock works well. It's easy to place phone on and take it off of the dock. There is also a power cord and separate USB connection so you can have the dock connected to a cpu and wall outlet at the same time. The backup batteries perform just as well as the OEM battery.

Official extended batterys?

I've seen a bunch of battery on eBay. But I'm worried since their mostly from China. Does anyone have experience with one of these or know of an official desire or inspire battery?

I haven't seen one yet. Those cheap batteries often are no where near the capacity they claim so steer clear for now
I bought one from eBay for $4.89. It claims to be 1600 mah. So far it hasn't given me a problem but the battery life seems to be about the same than the official one.

why pay so much for battery? i got charger at home, car, work. less then $15.
There are quite a few other 1600mAh Desire HD batteries on eBay, mostly in Hong Kong, one in Canada, for significantly less than the $103 price. That's just an insane amount of money to pay for a battery. Personally I'm happy to find one that performs as well as the stock battery and pair it with a plug-in charger so I can swap mid-day if needed. It would be killer to find a battery charger for the car too.

Well the reason people buy extended batteries are because they're away from some type of charger, or don't want to hassle with a charger all day. I am one who wants to get the maximum possible out of a device, without compromising on reprogramming things to conserve battery. I'd LOVE to see a 1600 mah battery that got good reviews, but thus far everyone says since they're made with cheap chinese cells, it's really a 1200 mah battery labeled 1600.
I do plug the phone in while in the car, but it would be nice to have a spare battery charging while on the go as well, sort of a charge it and forget it type of thing in case it's needed while out.

This auction is back down to $4.89. A lot of the time, when a retailer is out of stock of something, they'll jack up the price of the auction, rather than having to pull/repost the auction. This way they don't have to pay the fee to have it removed/readded, but no one in their *right* mind would buy one. I've seen this a lot with Inspire accessories...no one can keep anything in stock.
I ordered this one from Amazon and it is from HTC.

And if it is garbage I can use Amazon's A to Z return policy, so I am covered. I would rather try Amazon before I would use E-bay, with Amazon there is always a way to get your money back with e-bay there is not.

Looking for a good spare battery for my Desire Z ..

Can somebody recommend me a spare battery ? I normally keep a charged spare battery in my wallet for cases when the current battery just dies on you and you need your phone on .. I dont mind getting an 3rd party battery as long as the life is good, price is under $20 or something, etc ..
Any suggestions ?
110 views and no suggestions .. ?! How is this possible .. ?!
I use a Desire S battery. 1450mah, perfect fit and made by HTC (i am not so keen on those 3rd party batteries as they almost never have the capacity they clame to have and not always fit right) I have the original battery as spare.
I've read the incredible s/2 battery will work. Going to try and grab one when verizon launches it.

How about this battery ?:

I just need one to keep as a spare in charged state in my wallet for those rainy days .. It will end up being used maybe like once a month or something, so I'm not looking for something with necessarily a lot of juice in it .. I just need something to give me a decent performance when my main battery dies on me .. And because I dont require much, I'm also not wanting to spend anything more than $15 more or less ..
Also, what about the ones mentioned here? : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953518

i got two of these (two chargers also) and was really impressed with them. http://www.dealextreme.com/p/replacement-3-7v-1500mah-cellphone-battery-with-charger-for-htc-desire-z-vision-bb96100-51190 The downside is they take a long time to ship from Hong Kong.
The batteries last at least as long as the original one on a charge. Also, you can have one charging while using the other in the phone.
I got 2 spare batteries plus a dedicated spare battery charger for 99 cents on eBay... crazy... but they do work fine, mind you. Not as long as an original, but on it's own the spare generic battery can last as close as the original htc battery....
...and I get two and a battery charger for effin 99 cents!!!!!!! plus shipping of course, which cost me 3 bucks... not bad
Hehehe...

The htc evo shifts battery fits our phone perfectly, no modification necessary. Ebay sells some third party batteries for the evo shift which includes 3x1800 mah and a sleak wall charger for them. In my personal experience, they do offer more juice than the stock battery and everything on my phone is fully functional. Oh yeah everything together cost about $15.

i guess im paranoid.. dont trust any of these generic batteries. blow up my phone, with my luck lol

which battery?

There are now like 5 extended batteries for the sensation.... which is most reliable. There are 2-3 1900mAh, one 1800 and one 2400mAh.... What is best and actually gives the biggest bump?
Anker 1900, for $10 wins have gotten excellent reviews on that thread
I would say the Chitech is also good but those are $20 and prob have the same performance as the Anker
Go with the Anker it has the most positive reviews I have one and I love it
I ordered the Chitech mainly for reputation and it has gotten good reviews as well. I don't mind paying an extra $8 (got 20% off with the OFF10 code) for reliability.
I ordered the Anker. Heard better reviews on it. So i went with my first instinct.
I like that Chitec is a little thicker than the OEM battery. This means the back cover will squeak less (I have stuck a piece of paper in there now ).
Is this also the case with Anker?

Thanks for the heads up dude, I'm definitely going for a Chitech one. It looks cool to me.
Chichitec rocks socks.
I completely discharged , then charged in the wall charger 3x. Then I kept it in the phone the next cycle, overnight, and the thing took off ever since.
I've been getting a full days use with, normal for me use, where im usually dying by 5 or 6 pm I'm now left with battery to spare when I go to bed between 10-12.
I unplug in the morning around 7 am.
Couldn't be happier, and for a normal day I wont need a spare. :-D

g2uzer, I had the same problem you did (Mugen being out of the MT4GS 1800 mAh battery when I finally accepted I had a bad pair of Ankers), but I found a workaround.
It turned out Mugen wasn't out of the 1950 mAh battery for the Sensation and I knew that the Ankers I was using also worked in the Sensation, so I took a chance. The fit of the Mugen is *very* tight (noticeably tighter than the Anker which I found a bit tighter than stock). I suspect that's why Mugen isn't selling them for the MT4GS.
Nevertheless it worked and I'm very happy with the results. The several days of 100% to near-zero usage Mugen recommends were painful. If I wasn't consciously heavily using my phone during the day (Bluetooth headset music, Bluetooth tethering my Transformer and plenty of screen on games/browsing time to boot), it would taked a fair bit of "work" (everything going plus max brightness and whatever else I came up with) to get to near-zero before I went to bed.
If you haven't gone in another direction, it is worth trying.

Well really I'd want just the pen for myself and the charger for my dad, the battery's just a bonus, I'm already content with my two fat Generic batts and my dad has 7 batteries (1 Generic Fat, 5x OEM 1500mAh and 1 OEM 1800mAh)

Which do you prefer or which is better, the generic 3500 mAh or the Hyperion 3500 mAh?

They seem to be the same exact battery, just someone got wise and decided to put brand name on it and double the price lol. Of course I've only had one to test but it scored nearly identical with one of my Generic fatt batts.
There seem to be stronger contenders from both flavors (Generic or Hyperion). One one hand there's word of mouth (Hyperion) and one the other there's actual testing (Generic) but if people could send me some *preferably newer* Hyperions, then we can let the data tell us the answer we're looking for
What I REALLY want to test is a Seidio because I'm betting it will perform similarly and I just want to show people how bad of an investment they are.

Do you think you'll be getting this battery to see it? See how she performs I don't want to get this and it ended not fitting I don't like to deal with amazon with returning a product.

I don't have the highest of hopes for it personally (capacity wise) but I believe it'd fit just fine since the OEM Epic Touch battery fits our phone. The Epic 4G's batteries are just a smidge longer/thinner and the Epic Touchs are a little thicker/shorter so maybe our OEMs may not fit there phones but if the 3rd parties match the OEM Epic Touch size dimensions I don't see how it wouldn't fit a regular Epic 4G.

I just see it being like the Hyperion, aka a Generic in a branded battery's clothing lol. And my experience has shown Generic slim batteries being rather crappy, sadly I haven't personally tested my Generic "1500mAh" slim Epic battery before I lost it.

so instead of these batteries what do you think is a better choice 2x Anker 1800 mAh plus a charger for $19.99.
Or an 1800 OEM?

In that case you may be better off going with the Ankers actually, I hear nothing but satisfied people talking about their's...if you want you could order them to me and I can review them and then send them to you when I'm done so we (the public) can see how two typical Ankers score brand new.

I got a Seidio 3300 I was suppose to be sending to a guy on here testing batteries, but been kinda busy never got around to it. I believe its extremely overpriced but I've had it for about a year now and it still holds up great. The door for it doesn't fit never really did but its an ok battery, if I could go back I would and just get a Generic.

Yeah it was me and I'd still love to test it
Hi just got these Onite batteries.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007VMZY2O/
Nice package. 2 1900mAh batteries, charger, and pen.
How do I go about testing this battery to see if is comparable to others?
