after reading reviews ,looks like i decided to get a mugen 1800mah battery, but the website
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...00mah-extended-battery-for-htc-sensation.html
have been out of stock for a few days now, i was wanting to know where did you get yours? i found some on ebay for 42.99
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MUGEN-POWER...ccessories&hash=item2319fa803b#ht_5836wt_1344
and also in amazon http://www.amazon.com/Mugen-Extende...UDJ6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330918371&sr=8-1
for 46.99 , but Im not sure if these are original mugen batteries or just a imitation, so i was wanting some links or tips on where to buy it
THANKS for the feed backs
If you're going to order a Mugen, buy the 3600mAh battery. It's $100 well-spent.

i dont want my phone to be any thicker plus I want to keep using my trident case because it protects it a lot at my job. So does mugen 1800 battery last better than stock?

It's both better than stock and better than the anker (i have both). I roared mine on amazon, and it was legit.

Other than ordering it, I don't know. Checking the seller ratings and stuff like that helps determine if a seller is legit.

g2uzer, I had the same problem you did (Mugen being out of the MT4GS 1800 mAh battery when I finally accepted I had a bad pair of Ankers), but I found a workaround.
It turned out Mugen wasn't out of the 1950 mAh battery for the Sensation and I knew that the Ankers I was using also worked in the Sensation, so I took a chance. The fit of the Mugen is *very* tight (noticeably tighter than the Anker which I found a bit tighter than stock). I suspect that's why Mugen isn't selling them for the MT4GS.
Nevertheless it worked and I'm very happy with the results. The several days of 100% to near-zero usage Mugen recommends were painful. If I wasn't consciously heavily using my phone during the day (Bluetooth headset music, Bluetooth tethering my Transformer and plenty of screen on games/browsing time to boot), it would taked a fair bit of "work" (everything going plus max brightness and whatever else I came up with) to get to near-zero before I went to bed.
If you haven't gone in another direction, it is worth trying.

I'm surprised that this site hasn't been mentioned: www.mugenbattery.com. They're a US-based, authorized distributor of Mugen batteries with free shipping for orders over $50. I plan on purchasing my battery from them when my budget allows.

I haven't seen one yet. Those cheap batteries often are no where near the capacity they claim so steer clear for now
I bought one from eBay for $4.89. It claims to be 1600 mah. So far it hasn't given me a problem but the battery life seems to be about the same than the official one.

why pay so much for battery? i got charger at home, car, work. less then $15.
There are quite a few other 1600mAh Desire HD batteries on eBay, mostly in Hong Kong, one in Canada, for significantly less than the $103 price. That's just an insane amount of money to pay for a battery. Personally I'm happy to find one that performs as well as the stock battery and pair it with a plug-in charger so I can swap mid-day if needed. It would be killer to find a battery charger for the car too.

Well the reason people buy extended batteries are because they're away from some type of charger, or don't want to hassle with a charger all day. I am one who wants to get the maximum possible out of a device, without compromising on reprogramming things to conserve battery. I'd LOVE to see a 1600 mah battery that got good reviews, but thus far everyone says since they're made with cheap chinese cells, it's really a 1200 mah battery labeled 1600.
I do plug the phone in while in the car, but it would be nice to have a spare battery charging while on the go as well, sort of a charge it and forget it type of thing in case it's needed while out.

This auction is back down to $4.89. A lot of the time, when a retailer is out of stock of something, they'll jack up the price of the auction, rather than having to pull/repost the auction. This way they don't have to pay the fee to have it removed/readded, but no one in their *right* mind would buy one. I've seen this a lot with Inspire accessories...no one can keep anything in stock.
I ordered this one from Amazon and it is from HTC.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004CWWWJ4
And if it is garbage I can use Amazon's A to Z return policy, so I am covered. I would rather try Amazon before I would use E-bay, with Amazon there is always a way to get your money back with e-bay there is not.

Yes, they run cooler than the OEM battery. Just order them off of Amazon. The two-pack with the charger is cheaper than one OEM battery even factoring in one-day shipping.
When I bought mine, I got a single battery + charger for $3 plus shipping on amazon.
You can find them at all different prices, and if you scout it out for a few days you'll probably find a great deal.
Go read through the whole anker battery thread in the accessories sub-section of the MT4GS forums, you'll learn everything you ever wanted to know about an anker battery.
it does but it doesn't have a temperature sensor, which is very bad imo for safety reasons

Post 2 of the anker battery thread is where I linked to the amazon page I bought it from.
I bought it on August 16th. The price fluctuates like crazy, so just keep checking until you see a good deal on it.
Yesterday they were 23-something at that link. Today they are 18-something at that link. Who knows what they'll be tomorrow.
As they run lower in stock the price goes down, then when they get a new shipment in the price goes back up.
When I bought mine, it was the last one in stock at the time.
Just keep an eye out.
Even at the mentioned prices the two-pack of Anker batteries is cheaper than one OEM battery of a lower mAh.
Anybody have any luck with extended batteries? If so what is a good brand to get and where from?
I bought a generic 1800mAh battery on the cheap through eBay. It has worked fine for me.

Yes, but is it better than stock? I highly doubt it's actually 1800mAh. If it is, then the Chinese have turned into wizards.
I am currently using these. I just started using it, so not sure how different it will be. I will let you know.
The reviews are kind of hit and miss
I seen one on ebay where you remove the battery cover, and it was a case too. with like a 3500ma or so.
But I like my Otterbox to much.
I'm using an Anker 1600mAh from Amazon. It's noticibly better than the stock battery, but it takes a week of overnight charging to get the most out of it.

I bought an Anker Slimtalk external battery for mine. Going pretty good so far. I can top up my battery when it goes too low in the evening.
I bought an Anker 1600 mAh and actually performs slightly better than stock battery.. maybe It's the Rom maybe not... Because with ICS I got 23 hours with stock and 18 with Anker..

They seem to be the same exact battery, just someone got wise and decided to put brand name on it and double the price lol. Of course I've only had one to test but it scored nearly identical with one of my Generic fatt batts.
There seem to be stronger contenders from both flavors (Generic or Hyperion). One one hand there's word of mouth (Hyperion) and one the other there's actual testing (Generic) but if people could send me some *preferably newer* Hyperions, then we can let the data tell us the answer we're looking for
What I REALLY want to test is a Seidio because I'm betting it will perform similarly and I just want to show people how bad of an investment they are.

I don't have the highest of hopes for it personally (capacity wise) but I believe it'd fit just fine since the OEM Epic Touch battery fits our phone. The Epic 4G's batteries are just a smidge longer/thinner and the Epic Touchs are a little thicker/shorter so maybe our OEMs may not fit there phones but if the 3rd parties match the OEM Epic Touch size dimensions I don't see how it wouldn't fit a regular Epic 4G.

This doesn't seem like a run of the mill chinese cheap battery. Packaging looks very professional and the company itself has amazing ratings. I would say this is a pretty safe buy. Its a company that designs the batteries in canada.
And with amazon you're well proctected. Ebay tends to always back the buyer up as well, but I always felt amazon was more legit. I have no need to ugly up my phone with a massive battery, nor do I need the extended time (stock battery suits me fine) but for someone that can't shell out a lot of money this seems like a solid deal

Yes and no. I bought a Mugen from amazon, and everything went fine. It died after about 3.5 months, and Mugen wouldn't replace it because I didn't buy direct from them.
So, most reputable companies who sell direct on amazon are OK. Mugen doesn't sell direct, so avoid them on amazon.
I'd like to see how badly this battery bulges out the phone. I've seen pictures of the galaxy note with this battery, and it looks... big.
I'm willing to test it out. I placed the order and I'll report back once I get it.

Yes and no. I bought a Mugen from amazon, and everything went fine. It died after about 3.5 months, and Mugen wouldn't replace it because I didn't buy direct from them.

That's probably the exception. I've never had a bad experience when returning an item through Amazon.
The reviews for the Galaxy S2 battery are pretty good.
And there's tons of S2 users out there. So I highly doubt this company makes crap batteries

You probably get what you pay for, but here's the link anyway:

I'm telling you, the Mugen pays for itself. Especially if you have the CM9 Alpha builds.

Hmm... I don't see any reviews for the product. I'd buy it but the price worries me for how cheap it is. I mean... I like cheap, but... there are no reviews to be found which worries me.
Here is my thing about batteries. Last summer when I was on the hunt for an amazing lipo battery that would make my rc car run the fastest, coolest, longest right. Well them batteries were about 60 bucks, but what I had found through my research was there were only about 4 companies world wide who produce lipo-cells, so why waste 60 bucks when I could get a 2-cell for 12 bucks. Well it only lasted the summer because I wasn't very responable with it but its perfomance was on par with the more expensive batteries and so was temp ect. It don't have to cost the most the be effective, sometimes I feel this blacknightavalon works for mugen, because I promise you people 100 for a phone battery, they seen you coming

And yeah, I've no doubt Mugen makes good batteries. But the fact that you *must* buy from them and nowhere else in order to get any sort of service makes them a bit shady.

I would never move to f**king China. Not unless they got rid of their Maoist regime. No, I just know a good battery when I'm using one, and I think the Ankers are pretty good too (as long as you order the two-pack with the wall charger).
The battery cover in the Amazon picture is clearly not for a MT4GS, but maybe it's just the stock photo they use for all this company's batteries.
Anyhow, for $20, I took a chance.
The company as a whole seems to make quality batteries, so I doubt they would skimp on our phone. And it is an actual company, not a "no name generic" battery. And as I said before, if you look up batteries for other phones from the same company, they generally have great reviews
Good point on the picture. That battery cover does not seem to fit our phone, which means the picture is a stock picture.
im confused, i googled mugen battery and 2 different links come up. not sure which is the official link.

Just got it in. The pic on Amazon is a file one. This battery and the cover will fit, but it's charging up right now. I'll test it tonight.

Could you post pictures when you get it all set up?
Personally, I'd go for a slim extended battery if they offered it, otherwise it won't work with the dock. Still, if this works well, for 20 bucks it's a no-brainer.

I've been looking for a cheap extended battery since I ditched the G2. I had a $15 3500mAh eBay battery on it and it worked just fine. I'll probably order this after I hear what y'all have to say about it.
