Battery compatibility - HTC Sensation

Anyone know if the Sensation battery is interchangeable with any other devices released to date?
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk

With HTC usually the batteries are a different size with each device.

Except for the special case of Nexus One = Desire...
Is that the only one where two different HTC devices had the same battery?

And also HTC G2, HTC Desire Z and the HTC Merger use the same battery. I too am also looking for a quality battery (decently priced).
HTC Sensation 4G

Sensation =! Desire (S)

Counterintuitively, Mobilesyrup reports that the tiny Wildfire S has the same battery as the Desire HD in a much smaller phone.

I also believe that the battery in the evo and the touch pro 2 were interchangeable.

I've been wondering this too. The EVO 3D comes with a 1750mAH (or something like that) but its a bit thicker so I wonder if that battery can fit in the Sensation.

Other phones with same battery type as G2/Vision

Hi Everyone, I am thinking of getting a new battery & remember reading about aftermarket batteries that worked on the G2/Vision but was for a different phone(s), & you had to remove the wrapping.
Can someone remind me of the phone models that have the same shape battery that would work in the G2?
Thanks

Desire S and EVO design both have HTC OEM batteries that fit perfectly into our device.

That would be Incredible S and Evo Design. Both fit with no trimming needed.
thanks everyone. Now I have an idea of the type of battery to look at

What to get next??

So I'm looking for my next phone.
I was all set to buy the One S but no expansion and removable battery.
The One X is too big.
So where do I go.
I want the One S but 12GB isn't going to cut it.
Whats coming and I am considering non HTC as I;m not big on the current direction.
Current favourite is Sony Xperia S but not completly convinced on this one is there anything coming soon worth waiting for?
Nothing in the very near future which would represent a noticeable upgrade from the sensation. Personally I'm waiting a bit longer.
Sent from the hell that is modern life.
Just hang on longer to the Sensation if you can't find anything. Mayne the SGS3?
If not, just keep the Sensaion and wait for better phones in Q3. Sensation is still a powerful piece of hardware
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Well the sensation isn't too old you can still hang on and wait or if your in a hurry the xperia s doesn't seem that bad just low dev atm...

Xperia isn't much of an upgrade!! It still has the sane old S3 chip, not the newer & much better S4 one!
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
Nope, nothing worth upgrading to just yet.
Nothing on the horizon yet...I'm still enjoying the S4G & Xda development section!
Im looking at the samsung galaxy s3 depending how quad core is handled with battery life, the one s was my next choice too until the no sd card and removable battery. One x is too big so im left with samsung s3.

What do you mean by the One X being too big? Physically, storage space, or price?

Physically I think
Storage is never big enough for ANYONE
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda premium
I was thinking one S as well but like you said the low amount of storage has put me off it. I mean, the non-removable battery I could live with but only 16 gb's of storage....HTC, what are you thinking???
One X isn't a phone it doesn't fit in many pockets easily far a start.
Nice screen for movies and browsing but a little too impracticable for everyday life.
I go into the highlands in Scotland a lot what use is 25GB of dropbox if you can't access it.
A mobile device is for when your out and about we don't all live in London with permanent 3G and WiFi hotspots around every corner and that's when you want to access the content.
Have you tried streaming on a train or down the motorway in my experience you get crap connection speeds when moving at speed.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA
I absolutely agree with you. My concerns are the same. Everyone around me was impressed about this 25GB of storage with dropbox and I know for instance Three UK offer "all you can eat data" plan but they are the only one (as far as I know) and other carriers have their limit. And not to talk about still having gprs and edge connection in many area what I can't even use to fart on it... Anyway, brilliant phone is the One X but I still love my sensation and I'm sure I will sit on this phone till something similar will be released...
LG optimus 4X. Removable battery and an SD card. Hahahaha.

After seeing the specs of the EVO LTE and the European ONE X I was greatly displeased and turned off by the ONE S. EVERY nextgen flagship phone coming out seems to crush it spec wise.
given the fact that i have had multiple HTC phones I have no faith in their ability to make a battery that is sufficient for the phone it supports. So to embed a paltry battery like the one in the ONE S was an immediate deal killer. Then to find out about the memory too...it was not even a second thought.
As for blaming HTC, I have seen the light. The new EVO will be a beast. There is an on board 16 gig memory PLUS its expandable for an additional 32 gig. There is also a 2000 Ma battery if I am not mistaken. HTC "can" make a desireable phone, but T-mo has not required nor demanded a game-changer or a true flagship from them which is sad. Until t-mo stops slacking we will have to sit out cycles (like now) or switch to other brands.
I think I will be sticking with my Sensation until Q3 or Q4. So I won't regret any purchase because by that time all of the flasghip from every manufacturer has already been released. The sensation is still too powerful anyway.

Just the development alone from DEV's on the Nexus line is more than enough.... NEVER again will i buy another Android Phone that is not the Nexus line.
The sensation should be too powerful but mine is laggy as Hell since getting Android 4.
New Motorola coming out has 3000mA battery, if moto can do it HTC should be capable.

[Q] One S or SGSII?

Hey guys, I have offers for a trade and I'm paying out LOADS for a One S or a SGSII, the one is grey and the SGSII is black and both in really good condition. What phone do you guys think I should choose? I know the one s is faster but it suffers from overheating problems and it doesn't have a removable battery so how is the battery life ( realistically ) because you can't replace it?
I traded in my t-mobile usa SGSII for HTC one S just last week and could not be happier.
S one.

What about overheating? My cousin complains about it quite a bit.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using XDA
none so far
I sell my SGS2 for an ONE s
Thanks for the feedback guys, so the phone doesn't even feel warm?
That's good, deffo going for one of these babies then
Tell Ur cuz to fully charge it off once. I did that and the heating went.
ofcourse it will get war under constant heavy use, other than that its normal.
one s is comparable to the s3 not s2 so one s is the right move.
I was also deciding between the white sgs2 and the one s but after my research I picked the one s, the processor is crazy.
I would get the One s but the case can chip which is a bummer

One S hands down. There have been reports of overeating but I've personally seen none in the three weeks I've had this phone. I personally love the sense experience and the look and feel of HTC phones. I think Samsung phones look and feel cheap, even the premium handsets.
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using XDA
Absolutely one S. SGS2 is a good phone, but one s is faster, have a better display and also have physical buttons designed for ics. Furthermore one s is a new model, so probably could keep an higher market value (and probably more updates) in future than sgs2.
Sent from my HTC One S using Tapatalk 2
the design alone will have you sold over Samsung's poor build quality
the screen and the speed are sensational and you can use dropbox for additional storage needs
ONE S is a sexy phone

[Q] Sensation xe battery

I know it is stupid but, i got a new battery for sensation xe and its inverse. i attached pictures. the original out-of-box battery looks like the picture1. but the one i bought lately looks like the picture2. (sorry. i didn't have a camera. i made it with Photoshop) is it fake?
did you check the info on it? Where did you buy it from?
also, its possible that the battery works with more than one phone and the phone it was originally made for has the pins on the other side
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using Tapatalk 2
You bought a EVO3D battery. It's 100% compatible with the HTC Sensation.

What do you think about the sensation?

Hi all, I think the htc sensation have much time to be at the top or at least in the top half of Android devices. Having a good dual core processor at 1.2 gigahertz with a good GPU Adreno 220 make it one of the best middle-fa terminals. Even if we look we can see how ferrules brand like Sony xperia s use the same GPU and even the htc One s3 s has its version with the same processor. I think the sensation is at the height of xperia S, htc one s, galaxy s2, galaxy foolish, Optimus 3D ... etc. what do you think? a hug
In terms of power lg's optimus 3d destroys our sensation. I'd say we have the best unofficial support though the s2 is probably more popular, followed by the xperia s. HTC didn't do a very good job on this phone, which is why they released the HTC amaze soon after to correct their mistakes.

It does lag but its interface seems even more bloated than HTC sense. Also, the 3 d requires more power.

I love my sensation. I have no issues with it and have never had. Development is amazing too! The only let down is the company itself and their support towards their phones...

I think the phone is good. Though its pretty outdated with all the new phones being released with better stats. But with the custom roms we get here it still manages to keep in the fight.

I think my sensation xe was good, fast, and reliable with the original Rom it came with ,as soon as I updated to ics it became slow unresponsive , what Anoys me much is when you press menu and select settings ,the setting option remain highlighted for 2 seconds than you'll get setting menu ,where in gingerbread its instant ,for me gingerbrad was way faster than ics ,it still is .I downgraded to gingerbread ,I think HTC are amateurs when they update their phones not pros at all ,don't know how they manage to make a dual core phone with 750mb ram run slow..... On ics
I really love my Sensation XE... but only with custom ROM
Stock battery life is really great for me: about 20 hours with 1:30 hours screen on. I'm also satisfied about CPU performances.
Sensation is good phone..only the battery suck!!
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk 2
Phones update all the time. I remember when the GS2 just came out. Now we have S4. The point is, if you have a good phone, keep that good phone til it dies. Or, keep things fresh, flash new Roms and have it live forever.
I love my Sensation even after a year, and despite it's issues, (proximity sensor issues) I still use it daily.
Sent from Ty's ViperS Sensation. A beast of a phone.
The BAD:
*Dust under screen flaw
*CPU draws too much power/runs too hot (Bad impact on battery life)
*Screen draws too much power (Bad impact on battery life)
*Lack of official updates from HTC. (GS2 got JB, we should have at LEAST have Sense 4, ICS)
*Generally poor signal strength.
The GOOD:
*Everything else
